what makes your videos great is you use “I” statements in your recipes. it’s not “do this” but rather “i do this.” it allows for subjectivity, to remind the viewer that everyone has a different way of doing things, and that there isn’t one true way in cooking.

Finally got around to trying this and it's super easy, surprisingly filling and tastes amazing. For fellow lazy people:
    - Uses the entire can of beans and tomato sauce. No need to think about the measurements or leftover ingredients, just toss it all in
    - One pot recipe = minimal dishes
    - Substitute whatever cooked protein you have on hand, can change it up
Love this, thanks for sharing your recipe! The Laughing Cow trick is chef's kiss

Honestly, this is my favourite meal prep video! I love that they're freezer friendly and so I'm not forced to eat the same thing every day that week. I usually use a little less chicken and sub for another tin of beans and it's so filling. Thank you!

I made this. Honestly, it was really easy and only took about an hour. It's great how filling these are, I usually eat massive meals of chicken and rice to fill me up for lunch and dinner, but these are surprisingly filling.
The biggest cost for me was the spices, but since I have them now, it'll probably cost about $20 AUD to get more tortillas, chicken, beans, canned tomato sauce and the capsicum. For 6 meals, that's not bad at all.
    Thanks for the video mate

Absolutely love this recipe. I made it vegetarian using extra firm tofu in place of chicken to fit my diet and they are so yummy. These are becoming an instant staple food for this gal. I also added a few tablespoons of nutritional yeast powder and it had no ill effect on the flavor as it can with some dishes. 10/10 recipe with so much room for changes for personal preference.

I usually don't comment on recipe videos but I just made this and this is the single best burrito filling I've tasted in my entire life, I am absolutely floored! And I thought that the one burrito I wrapped for immediate consumption wasn't going to be enough and I'd accidentally eat all my week's dinners but not only is it delicious but it's also _extremely_ filling for the deceptively small size of what could fit in a store-bought whole wheat tortilla. In just one try, this has become my absolute favourite meal for controlling my insulin-driven evening cravings 😍 thank you for sharing this recipe!

These are soooo good. They're easy to make and all the ingredients are pretty basic and accessible, which I really like... store's not likely to be out of bell peppers and canned beans etc, y'know? I also like how this recipe can inspire other thinking... like hey, what if I threw in some other type of meat or veg or something? They're a good jumping off point that I think is really great and approachable. Great job! These reheat so nicely, too. My boyfriend and I toss them in the microwave to defrost and then crisp up the tortilla in a pan on the stove. Would love to see if you have any other ideas for frozen meal prep!

I've done two batches of these already. They turned out great but I wondered if there's a better way to handle the pan where I sear then in. The pan always gets a bunch of baked oil around the outside which takes a lot of effort to clean off. Am I doing something wrong or is there a better way to sear 20 to 30 burritos without making the pan super hard to clean up?

Fantastic recipe. I would wrap in parchment then foil, no ziplocks. Saves a bit of money, and helps keep a good shape. You can heat in the oven that way or toaster oven if you have time for a change and a nice toast. Cheers

Great video and channel, I just subscribed. I'll throw in another reason to not measure spices: their intensity varies immensely from one brand to the next and even for the same container as it ages, so you must use your senses to cook. You surely know what you're doing brother, keep it up!

    • @ethanpaff

It’s the Cutluxe Chef Knife 8”. It has a pretty decent edge to begin with but it’s no where near the highest quality knife you could buy. Sharp, well weighted, ergonomic, and easy to take care of, it’s a good first knife if you take cooking seriously.
It’s also on sale right now on Amazon. Here’s the link:

Thanks for sharing this recipe. I love that we can freeze it and microwave it for later. This is exactly the kind of thing I needed!
I just made it now and with the chicken it took me about 2 hours. I had 10 10in tortillas and used all of them and still had leftover 😅
Guess I'll eat the filling by itself too!

7:59 Make sure you're placing it offset, not right in the very center of the microwave. Also consider lowering thw power to 80-90 instead of running it full blast, which is best reserved for heating liquids to a boil and ends up overcooking anything already cooked. Or you know, just hit the reheat button which will cycle the power level for you for more even heating.

YO Ethan, wanted to stop by and say thanks for the recipe. I've been using it for meal prep the last few weeks and it's scrumptious. I use the filling as topping for mashed potatos and I add extra chicken in the form of thighs. Salsa Verde is also a great flavor enhancer as a condiment.
