Great honest review, just bought one to have in case we lost power or something - wondered about it getting dirty with the flip around design - thanks for the video. Be safe out there!
Good tips as usual. Not necessarily about this item particularly but the issues of lugging water on the road generally. Little things that aren't always thought of and a lot of vanlifers neglect to mention
I bought two of these and plan to store them in my bedroom for distilled water that I use for my neti pot. I haven't added the distilled water yet, but is that safe to do?
Honestly I wouldn't. Even if you cleaned it with vinegar to dissolve any possible minerals in there I don't see a need to keep 7 gallons exposed to the elements. I am on cpap and only have 1 gallon open at a time
a gallon of water weights 8lbs, make your math and think how much your vehicle can handle, my rv capacity is 60000, i carry 70 gallons of water when i go to the desert because i shower everyday
Wasn't asking if it was too much for the truck; more if it was too heavy for a human. When camping usually I have to bring the container to the water souce. I have a few of those containers - they are sturdy, but once full, they are tough to carry. It's 56 pounds lift with one hand - she got some gravity to her.
@@PracticalC still same math. just think of how much can you lift and judge yourself. 8 lbs per gallon. 7x8= 56 lbs. i can lift it no problem, my 16 years old son can with difficulties. i like the container, but i don't like the nozzle(spigot) that came with.
@@Rowen170 honestly I just give a one or two second long squirt, (but a quarter cup per gallon of 3% over the counter HP has never been a problem either) I learned about adding HP to plant water like Tomatoes and it really helps, besides that there’s no negative impact at all, the byproduct is just Oxygen.

Yep
Thanks dude!
try a non lubed condom, or a place of plastic with a rubber band, to hold it in place.
Nice

i dont like the cap/spigot, i noticed the same thing, it will dirty the entire tank when is time to place spigot back inside the tank.
Do you find the 7 gallons are too heavy to carry? (or it just gets annoying)
It’s definitely heavy but I try not to carry it very far from the vehicle. Mostly moving it around to different shade spots

👍👌🐝 probably cost more now since they are a petroleum product
Yeah
I squirt hydrogen peroxide in when I add water.
Good idea
How much per gallon?
