  • Comparison video between S&S SuperStreet 2-1 and TBR Comp S Full exhaust systems. My bike is a 2020 Harley Davidson Lowrider S with a 114 and S&S 475 Cam stage two kit. My bike was tuned initially with a power vision and base fuel map from Fuel Moto followed by an auto tune session on our local dyno. The reason for the exhaust swap was a flat spot between 2500-3800 RPMs as was shown on the dyno sheet. I will be doing a follow up video comparing the two dyno sheets once I have an opportunity to get some more pulls.

      @robb907  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, there are quite a few other pipes out there. The thing about this pipe I did not like was that it’s older technology, and the step up on the diameter of the headers isn’t there or if it all adds closer to the muffler. It’s been a while since I looked at it, so I don’t remember exactly. Good looking pipe, great quality, but wasn’t impressed with the performance overall.

I was thinking of trying to tame it down a bit with that S&S pipe. I'd love to see a comparison with the dB killer installed/ removed. Just worried the cops here in Australia are going to give me a hard time with how loud it is at the moment.

      Since then I’ve gone with a Jackpot Riot by fuel Moto. But I t’s a pretty loud pipe so if you’re battling the Po-Po’s then you’ll do well with the S&S. Performance wise though nothing beats this Jackpot, at least from the four pipes that I’ve tested.

      @@sickinmyduck4017 it’s fine to ask, it’s why I put this stuff out there because I hadn’t found much info when I searched. The K&N Ventilator back plate kit is what I used originally from fuel Moto. But the oil from the air cleaner gets all over the side of the bike plus my knee noticed the fatter air cleaner and I didn’t care for the interference. So I actually am now running an Arlen Ness Monster Sucker. Originally I got one with a cover but looked too big on this bike I called Arlen Ness had them send me a new backing plate to run the filter naked. What I like about the Arlen Ness is that you don’t have the effort to clean and re-oil. Just loosen tne hose clamp it pops off and then you wash it in Dawn dish soap and water, rinse, shake the water out and let air dry for a couple of hours. Way easier.

      I wasn't planning to go past stage I, but the 114 just doesn't sound very good with that. So, now because of that I have to go to stage II.
      I've researched this, and yes, the S&S 475c sounds the best, but it really lacks torque until you rev up, and I don't rev up. Other cams perform better, but if it won't improve my sound much I won't do it. I saw a TH-cam video of someone who has maybe the best sound I've heard on an M8 but he's using the 475, and we never know about the performance when you mix & match components until you dyno it (another $700.00?). @@robb907 all good lol, you wanna test it get a magnet. If it's good real stainless it won't stick. If it sticks it's the same stainless that a Chinese grill is made out of lol. Fat cat it sticks to it and it shows as it's rusty. I'll have to look into the jackpot. I put fat cat on my fat Bob. I bought it second hand dirt cheap. I don't think the guy knew how much they cost new. I'm real glad I didn't pat new price as like I mentioned junk stainless. Pipes are thick yes but cheap stainless no Bueno.

      I already did. But truthfully two weeks in now, I have been having some tuning issues with this S&S pipe. I have one more thing to work with but may end up going back to the TBR. This cam is pretty sensitive and I’m thinking it likes the shorter exhaust. I ran some auto tune sessions on a different map and now I am making the same power as with the TBR but I have gotten rear cylinder Rich codes twice. Will have my Target Tune wide band set up today so we’ll see if that cures it. Soon as I get my results together I’m going to post another video with the dyno sheets.

      @@randysutton5395 after trying this pipe for a couple of weeks I tend to agree. Probably going to go back to TBR just for that one reason right there. But I’m also kind of a data geek so while I’m at it I’m gonna finish my comparison I guess lol
