its coming back, and I have some really funny video of a friend wrecking it, it came right at me and flipped, he got skint a little but it is hilarious.
when I was a kid I put a lawnmower engine in a 14 foot plywood rowboat. The stuffing box was homemade from water pipe driven into the shaft log and a zerk fitting on top of the shaft log. A couple pumps of grease and no dripping stuffing box. After a few minutes running I just had a steady drip for lubrication.. The thrust bearing came out of an old transmission welded to a plate bolted to the engine bed. It would get up n a plane. One summer I took it from Tarpon springs florida down the intracoastal waterway yhe everglades to harlott Harbor and south to the everglades. for a2 month camping trip.
There is a 30 second video on the channel that shows the drive, as well as a concept video, but the next video will also show everything, thanks for watching.
I would call that a total success. Thanks for your determination to complete this project. You have shown this can be done successfully and surely someone will follow your lead.
It's a 7 inch aluminum prop, it's the kind with the notch that sits on a roll pin through the shaft, it has a 5/8 hole bored through the center. I've had it 20+ years and don't know where it came from, I'm about to order one like it but 3 blades, they are on eBay for around$20
@@ChrisfromKeyfarm OK thanks, I was experimenting with cut down master airscrew props on a trolling motor earlier this year, just waiting for it to warm up again to start back tinkering.
Lol silly behind 🤣 nice job! It looks like it was having just as much fun as you lol. It definitely displayed power and what looks like personality. The tip of the boat looks like a nose or mouth and that makes it look like an excited whale or dolphin swimming towards you like “ayyy chris, did you see me swimming!? 😃” L😂L
@@ChrisfromKeyfarm yea its give faster raw and more rpm and more power , its have one because its an genaretor eninge and is more lode on its give automatik more throttel. srr for late answer . greetings from Germany
I have watched this video probably 20 times since it came out.
It will never gets old!
Would love to see it on the water again.
It's going to get better and faster when we re-visit this project.
Congratulations Chris! You did it!
That thing moves. Looks like you got the balance perfect.
Thanks for sharing.
whatever happened to that two wheeled killer kart?

Love seeing what your doing it really looks like that thing would get up and go
I would like to see it out of water with the drive visible....Awesome build, Enjoy it !

I would love for someone to use this as a guide to build themselves one, that'd be cool. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@ChrisfromKeyfarm I look forward to taking on the task. Just need some time. 👍👍
Awesome Chris! Thanks! Have fun! God-bless!
Nice adding weight... That's what I was thinking...... Man that thing is cool.... Definitely liked this Chris... Great video
Thanks for watching 👍
That thing has some serious thrust 👍
It was a lot of fun, I'm going to slop the sides a little bit, make it set a little lower in the water, it'll be cool
Awesome work there! Really great project 👍
Thanks for posting Chris!
Thanks Mike, I always like it when my favorite channel checks in, the 6X6 is coming along nice !
@@ChrisfromKeyfarm Right on 🙂 Thank you Chris!
LOL you are having way to much fun,, great video is always. Can't wait to see the bigger version .. Stay safe out there..
Would you rather see the set-up in a larger homemade plywood boat, or a canoe?
@@ChrisfromKeyfarm well thats up to you , but i would think the boat would be safer and not tip over as much. You the man..
Love the boat. Can't wait for the parts list! Thanks for sharing
Probably Friday
Put some flotation in it. A 5 gallon bucket with a sealed lid, secured to the hull, it wouldn't sink.
Nice job Chris.
This is just great 😂, I’m just wondering what it would do with power adders 😂
We'll probably revisit this one day
This is so awesome great job bud what a cool little build
Trim tabs should help with the porpoising.
I think you are right
Now all you need is a squirrel 🐿️ on some skis lol
I've seen that, his name is Twiggy 😂
That IS awesome, great job Chris.
Love what you do on this channel.
Have a great Christmas
Central California Watching
Thank you so much
Now i have something to put my gx 390 into I gotta try this
Nice work 👍
Thanks
Whats your idea on me doing this on a 12ft jon boat but use a jet drive from jetski ?
Also do you have video on your servo rudder throttle setup
A jet drive on a 13 footer would be really useful in some shallow spots.
Ok that thing is too cool how long till your riding along
I work with a fella that is only 120lbs. thinking about putting him in there
That should work
we've all had this childhood dream.
👍 I thought so

@@ChrisfromKeyfarm would you mind sharing the link for me ebay prop?
I will post a link of the one I'm ordering. but keep in mind that I have not received it yet so I can be 100% that it will work.
@@ChrisfromKeyfarm OK thanks, I was experimenting with cut down master airscrew props on a trolling motor earlier this year, just waiting for it to warm up again to start back tinkering.
@@ChrisfromKeyfarm nice thanks, I've thought about building a small light weight plywood boat basically a bigger version of what you built.
TOY or Torpedo ? Love it
Thanks
Love the video Don't stop
Pretty dam cool
