Just wanted to say Thank You from Sydney Australia. After fiddling around with the circuit board and cleaning the connections it still wouldn’t work. Followed your instructions, cleared the pump..... wouldn’t work..... replaced the fuse (which I would never have thought of), and bingo, it works!! The instructions for getting the pump out were also really helpful. Without this video I would have spent hundreds of dollars replacing parts. THANK YOU 🙏
Just bought a Lunar Stellar and got this electric flush problem...thought it would cost me mega, but thanks to you my friend I fixed it myself, jammed impeller and blown fuse...can't thank you enough...I owe you a big drink! THANK YOU !!
Thanks Nick - I just bought a second hand caravan with this problem and managed to fix this using your video. It took me many unsuccessful attempts trying to get the pump out using the electrical cable attached, and ended up instead using the thick flush outlet hose successfully. For anyone else struggling, I reaching in as best I could to grab the hose high up on the toilet side of the hole, and dragged the pump up by pulling the hose towards the back wall of the toilet. Hope this helps anyone else, and thanks again Nick.
As the last person said, tried everything to make it work. Couldn't find where the pump was. Went on you tube and found this video. Not only did you show me where the pump was, your trick also fixed the problem. Thanks very much, from a happy camper in Melbourne, Australia.
Loo seized up last week whilst we were away. Came home expecting to have to call out an engineer but watching this video saved us time and money. Think it was just the fuse blown (90p for a replacement) but we took the pump out and gave everywhere a good clean - surprising how much black gunk there was lurking around. Anyway, all squeaky clean and working as it should. Great video, thanks very much Nick.
Thanks Nick, I put the flushing additive in an empty tank and the flushing wouldn’t work. Followed your video and found fibre locking impeller up. Cleaned that with a small screwdriver and now works fine. Appreciate you taking the time to make the video. Cheers Mel
I was delighted to be able to fix the problem with the help of your excellent video. My pump was seized, it took a bit of freeing. Getting it out was hard but getting it in harder. The trick is to get your head round how the water pipe has to run to enable the pump to drop in. You need a smallish hand to do it!
Thank you so much!!! This was exactly what we needed to fix our toilet! In fact I called a RV repairman and he didn’t know what to do. After finding this we fix it together. Yay! I didn’t have to order any parts!
First trip out in caravan since Lockdown and discovered toilet wouldn't flush. Spotted the blown fuse but replacement blew immediately so I went on TH-cam. Easy to fix with your helpful video. Thanks - no more midnight trips to the toilet block!
Great tutorial. You need small hands to get the pump out. It is very tight. Worked a treat, would not have had a chance of sorting it without your video.
Thanks for the video, saved me buying a new pump. Strange thing was though at first I thought it was a blown fuse, bought some 3A fuses, then saw there was no fuse there! Thought someone may have borrowed it, so bought some new 3A fuses, put it in and then nothing, Almost bought new pump, then saw your video, thought I'd moved it round a bit then hey presto it worked. Took the fuse out again and still works, very strange! Thanks again.
This video is extremely helpful! We spend hours yesterday trying to figure out how to get the flusher working, and your video has saved the day! Thanks!
This is a very tricky job. The video enabled me to get the pump working again. When the van is lying idle for months it is a good idea to operate the pump frequently to avoid it seizing up.
Thank you very much for your video! I had the same issue in my caravan after not being used for a while and following your demo I was able to locate the impellor. Sure enough it had seized - I thought it was done for but after turning it in both directions for a good 15 minutes or so, gradually it came free and is now working as it should. Saved me a lot of time and money (in getting a professional to look at it).. Cheers!
Highlights my utter contempt for designers and great respect for ordinary people able to sort out problems caused by their dreadful designs. Thank you - very helpful.
Thanks from across the pond! This tutorial was spot on. I blew two three amp fuses before turning to Google which brought me here. You fixed it mate...my hands just did what you said. Cheers!
Absolutely Brill, Mate! My fuse was good, and I checked the impeller, and it was stuck. I took a small jewelers screwdriver and managed to break it free, one way then the other. I put it back in, it flushed proper. Thank you from the States!
Found this video most helpful. Bit of a job to get the pump out, as you say, then found the pump had ceased. Could not move the impeller with a screwdriver. so got a pair of thin nose pliers on the spindle and eventually managed to get the pump free. Replaced the fuse and all works well. Thanks again.
Thank you, excellent guide, found toilet not working at 9pm on our first trip out of the year, literally a 5 minute job after watching this and luckily the fuse was ok
Thanks for this video. I replaced the blown fuse earlier this year, in the hope that would sort it, but no luck. I found loads of gunk in the tank as it has not been possible to flush the campervan toilet for months. I turned the impellor blade several times, as suggested and loads of gunk came out. Hooked it all out with a small screwdriver. Completely flushed the system and drained it down, pump works again and issue fixed. Thanks!
I was totally stumped until I found your video. Thank you very much. My toilet pump is now working again. Problem was that the circuit board at the back of the switch had been pushed off its two little locating pins, meaning that when the button was pushed it was not engaging the switch. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for this video. Toilet not working, watched your video and now the toilet working! Replaced blown fuse and freed up impeller as system was not used for some time. Thanks again.😄
Thanks very much for your TH-cam video! The toilet didn't flush at the start of our September holiday. I followed your instructions and it works again. Like you said: debris in the pump. Karel Hamm.
Thanks Nick, cracking job! Also we inherited the toilet with blue in the flush tank, so need to drain all that out and give it a few rinses. My pump was clogged with what looked like dried 'blue' which came away easily with the end of a small screwdriver. The back of my hand is now the same scraped raw red colour as yours, but the loo flushes! I owe you a pint Nick.
Legend - Appreciate you taking the time to put this together and share, newbie caravaner, model has the exact same toilet with the exact same problem. Followed word for word and pump unblocked, new fuse added, purring along now and we have water! Thank you !
Fantastic! Really glad it helped you. Currently away in France ourselves doing tent life for a fortnight and appreciate how much you need your appliances etc. Enjoy.
We had the same issue. After watching this video it took less than 10 minutes to replace the fuse and clear the tie up as directed. Thank you so very, very much!!! We have a Rockwood 194 HW hardside A frame and the fuse was to the front on the right side.
Thanks Nick for this excellent tutorial. I did it one for one and the pump is up and running again. I would never have found the fuse location without your help. Well done mate👍👍
This is TH-cam at its very best. Fantastic mate. You sorted a big problem for me. Got a preferred charity? I'll happily give them £25. It would have cost me at least that to sort.
Thank you. Our toilet is a different version but the concept is the same. This took me probably five minutes to do the entire job. The fuse was not blown. Now works better than it had ever done.
Awesome video. Couldn't have done it without this. I fed in a thick zip-tie around the hose to use as a handle to get the pump out worked great, as I couldn't get the leverage w my hand around the hose to actually pull the pump up.
Great help thank you. I was expecting a nasty service bill, but with this video I freed the pump up and all is well at no cost. If the pump continues to play up they are only circa £30 as a DIY fit. :-)
I agree wholeheartedly with Scott Kopper. This excellent video explains all I want to know in a few minutes. Whereas the original manual tells me nothing - not even the tank capacities. I had to Google those! Thanks for the video.
Thanks for your video, I had to free the pump using WD40 and a pair of long nose pliers. I had no idea how to get at the pump until I watched this video.I am so pleased I did not have to go to the dealer as it takes all day having to travel backwards and forwards and then waiting around.
A BIG THANK YOU I would never have found that fuse! Mine is installed the other way around so fuse is at the back on the left hand side flush now working wallet sighing with relief 👍
And the flushing is back ! thanks Nick for the great video. in my case it was the fuse but I couldn't locate it. I took the pump out for a check and gave it a spin, it started to jam. now I know what to do. you saved me 100 bucks+ for the "repair" !
Thanks man. You saved me a huge amount of agro. I found once I cut the wire tie the pump came right out. FWIW mine was only 1 year old and I only ever used pink and no lime scale water.
Thanks mate for that info! Saved our sanity! First time we used blue chemical and first time our toilet stopped! Wouldn’t even think that would be what caused it!
Thank you so much for doing this video. I have the exact same cassette toilet and had the same problem. I didn't want to just start yanking things apart, but after watching the video I knew exactly what to do and look for. Job all done and working again. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant! Thank you so much for this very helpful video. I’ve just fixed our ‘van flush & am chuffed to bits with my new found handyman skills! Wife thinks I’m ace!
Thank you so much for sharing!! not only did i learn how to fix my pump, i also learned to use pink rather than blue!! I'm a rookie! thanks for the advice!!
Thanks for the video. I had a blown fuse and seized pump and did exactly what you said to get it out. Amazing what you can find on the tube. Very helpful and thanks for you taking the time to post it.
All is well. We have flush. There was a bit of jiggery pokery outside and it is possible that I have unclogged somethin. So nowt to do with the pump, however I am now very skilled at taking out pump and putting it back in again. Every day a school day. Top man for your video . Thanks
Thanks for this! Great instructions. It turned out to be the problem. The jammed pump also burned the fuse so thanks for showing that bit too. We had no idea it was there. 👍👍👍
Great video I found my blown fuse - eventually (thanks for the clue where it was although my WC is "the other way round" so fuse was on the other side and further back. Then of course the pump was jammed - which was the reason the fuse blew. Finally got the pump out - I have big hands... Thank you for posting this helpful video. Very grateful, just arrived on site with minimal facilities due to covid only to discover loo flush unresponsive, so your video has got us up and running. Hurray 😁
Ok! So, followed your video the the letter...what can I say...FAAAANTASTIC! We now have a fully functioning loo! Thank you so much. Took the opportunity to clean all the pipes and around the circuit board cover too. Happy bunny. ;)
Wow did it need more 5amp and 3 amp fuses on board RV thank you for your video needed very small hands but just as you said grab the large water pipe!!
Great video, pulled the pump out on mine rotated the impeller changed the fuse to a 5 amp, jobs a gooden. Not a lot of room to get the pump out, if you have big hands, get your wife to do it.
Great video ,took a bit of fiddling to get pump out the way you showed but got there, all goed up just like yours, Its allgood now thanks for your very helpful video. You saved me big bucks, and very satisfying to fix myself. Big thanks

Just perfect Nick, first checked and replaced the fuse... No luck, checked the Thetford manual. Pretty useless in such case. Guessed that it could be the pump if nothing else but where is it? Thanks Nick. Really helpful. Problem sorted after the pump spin and new fuse.
Thanks for the video. My pump is now flushing again. :)
Mine is now werking again as well. Saved me about 50 euros for a new pump. Next step is to clean the reservoir and I’m all set.
