I love what you've done with this TR6. It looks like that time when we did ride (like the guy in that photo you attached) in logger boots and jeans. Strange how we took off all the monoblocs on our Greeves and put on concentrics, then took them off and put on Mikunis, which actually helped fix those old starting problems. Anyway, ride safe and keep up the good work.
Looking at this bike, it looks like as they did back then in late 50s to early 60s, just a great rebuild, Well done to you, I am in the UK if you every need any parts sending over, let me know. also know the guys at Ace Classic in London, KIWI
Thank you so much! Appreciate your willingness to help with parts too! I love Ace Classics - bought a bunch of Desert Sled parts from them for my recent Pre-Unit build.
@@wheelhousegarage I also get a lot of parts from Norton which is in my Town Andover Uk, they stock loads of parts for Triumph,, and they are good on prices, so if you need anything sent over to STATES , let me know, I can send it, without custom tax, keep the films coming, Kiwi
I saw your shop in Livermore last year. Finally a brit bike shop near me I thought. Then you moved before I came around when you were open! All the best! Ping me if you come across any random Ariel single stuff.
Oh man, sorry for the teaser! I would have loved to stay in that amazing shop but the mountains were calling. Will definitely let you know if I find Ariel single stuff. I’d love to own an Ariel scrambler one day!
Not going to mention the 9 bolt head and later rocker boxes?…. Jk Have been loving watching you ride this and share on the channel. Happy Trails! Troop
My 59 single carb TR6 Trophy doesn't have that "hole" in the seat tube. They earlier frames that did have a hole there were different than yours so I suspect your frame has been modified. Cool bike!!
same as, looks like the Triumph rigid frame setup with frame 'hoop' through to the air cleaner. Brazing around this frame 'hoop' looks a little shonkey so think you're correct about frame being modified. Still wouldn't say no to having it in my garage. 8D
Glad you got rid of that red. Did you just paint over the red on the tank? I can see a little bit coming through. If I see a bike for sale and I don't like the color, as long as it's just the tank and side covers it's not a huge deal, I can repaint it. If the frame has been painted some weird color, that's a whole new level of commitment to change the color scheme.
Hi there. That’s the motor oil. These old Brit bikes use a dry sump oil system in which the majority of the oil is stored in and pumped from a reservoir outside the motor.
Hi, what cams in this machine? The standard 5T and T100 ones or the T110 3325 inlet and exhaust or the 3124 inlet and 3325 exhaust ? Also is it standard cam setting on the marks or have you used the intermediate cam wheel slots?
Thanks for reaching out Andre. The previous owner freshened up this motor before me so I haven't needed to cracked into it, but I would expect to see all T110 parts.
This is definitely my dream bike.. 4 more years until I can hopefully afford one :' )

Whatever works! 👍... but enjoy keeping Amals on the Brit bikes if I can

Thanks for watching! Indeed, the hole is a modification - I have only seen two examples on desert sleds thus far!

Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Thanks for watching anyway!
