I like the handlebars, they fit in with the desert racer look. A bit rough and ready is how I imagine most period bikes would have looked, built in sheds and raced hard at the weekend. Best wishes, Dean in Oxfordshire.
Handlebars look great. Custom but suit the look of the bike. Foot pegs should be a lot more comfortable when standing, I would imagine the round ones would hurt your feet pretty quick.
Thanks mate! Yes hit the nail on the head, the roundness starts to really ache after a little while, digs into the arch of your foot really good. These should be better!
Foot pegs have been my biggest problem with bending. Especially with continuous whoops. Triangulating the mount is the key. On a preunit they are especially difficult to find a space to attach.
Yes the whoops do accelerate the wear on them, I have had more issues with the taper slipping and the footrest hitting the brake pedal, especially after a wheelie or jump. Definitely something I will be adjusting soon

Thanks mate! Agreed, especially in a sport raced by your average Joe's. I expect people did whatever they could to get out there and give it a go!
Yeh like the new bars, suit the rest of the bike perfectly. Keep goin!
Thanks mate! They are much nicer to ride with too!
Excellent. As always thanks for taking the time.
Thanks mate, Thanks for watching!
New bars look great, Will. “Period welding” adds to the look and feel (in a good way!).
2/22/22 I find the ingenuity very entertaining, keep up the good work!

I think the handle bars you modified look great especially the drilled gussets , your welding will improve the more you try . Good channel 👍
Thanks mate they're great to ride with! Yes agreed practice makes perfect, well never perfect but better hopefully! Thanks!
I'm guessing early TR5C with distributor behind the right cylinder?
Close! 62 t100ss but correct on the distributer 😁
Where can I get a bolt over rear sprocket? Help! Love the bike!
