I'm definitely in the camp that can put up with music in the intro/outro, but not the whole vid. Glad that you cut the music for much of it! Your narration is top notch, and the engine sings.
Pure nostalgia! I was grinning right along with you. Noted the period correct gear - jeans, tee, boots and pre-full face helmet. More nostalgia. TBH, I owned a Triumph TR6 in 1967 - 650cc, one carb and high pipes - but left it stock so it weighed even more. Challenging in tight terrain but tremendous fun. Brakes on the left and shifter on the right. Sounds strange now, but when the world standardized the other way around it was even stranger. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
What a bloody fantastic bike !!!!......the old bikes are much better and better looking than the new bikes !!!!! Maybe not as fast , maybe they break down every two minutes ,but that's what you get with a bike that is older than your nan !!!!!!😁 Give me an old bike any day of the week . Peace out ✌
Those were the days. I had a friend that had a 1958 650c that was a blast to ride. I loved those old scramblers. The new ones not so much. To sophisticated. A carb and magneto is all you need. Simplicity is what made them so great. The Indian Woodsman 500 single was fun also. Lots of great dirt bikes back then.
Amen to that. I started riding a friends Pacemaker Whizzer motorbike when I was 8 years old. Bought my first Harley when I was 14 back in 1955, a 42 "45" flat head. I rode an 84 Iron head Sportster for 23 years. I am now 82 years old and ride a 99 Harley Softail Custom. I had several bikes in between. Had a 68 Honda 160 scrambler for a while. But, there is nothing like the vintage Brit bikes. Light weight, super fun to ride. And simple. I live in a fairly remote area where I would have trouble finding parts. So my Harley is easy to maintain and is also very enjoyable to ride. The EVO engine is bullet proof with a few easy changes. I have 65,000 on it without out problems. It is not fuel injected. It is an improved Shovel head. Anyway. Love your videos as it brings back a lot of wonderful memories that are forever etched in my mind. With all the improvements in the new bikes, we have lost something. No one can quite put a finger on it, but us who have ridden them know what it is. It is the smile factor when you get off. Satisfaction from riding the best bikes in history. It is the man and machine thing. We prefer Radial engine airplanes to jets. Steam engines to diesels. Old school. I guess I am old school by default. LOL
Thank you so much! I do find myself wanting for a side stand sometimes! I was hoping the fron fender struts would add enough rigidity, but it needs a little more. A brace would be a good addition and I have a couple NOS universal braces on the shelf 😁
The front end is washing out because of the old hard street tire on there. Lace that hub with a 21" rim, put a Goldentyre 90/100 GT 216 on it, and re arc the fender. The washing out will disappear.
Sound advice David! Big fan of Goldentyre 216's (and the Shinko copies) on my modern dirt bike. In the case of this old sled, I'm keeping it sketchy for the novelty of it all. Ha! Thanks for tuning in!
It would be great to see you mod the suspension to make it work better of road, maybe longer swing arm and shock, and then how to get the front to work better but still look original.
Thanks so much for watching the video and for the comment. I would love to one day find the components of the "Explorer Forks" that Ekins used to build!
What no electric cruise control? No fuel injectors? No mono shock ? I bet people can’t figure out how you can ride with out all the BS ? It’s nice to actually ride ! No computers, just fun
TBH, I'd rather hear the exhaust than the music. But it's your vid. Great to see the interest in old POM bikes catching you young fullas.
Thanks for the input and for watching! I sure do love these old Brit bikes.
She's a beauty. Ditch the music next time. The engine speaks for itself
Thanks Tony! Appreciate you watching and I understand the feedback too

just let us hear the bike more! an old triumph twin with straight through pipes is a treat for the ears.
Amen!
No words....pure satisfaction...makes life worth living...
Truth!
Great to see the pure undiluted pleasure a dirt bike can bring . Thanks for sharing !👍
Pure joy baby! Thanks for watching.
Good to see the old trumpet doing what it should, making the rider grin
100%!! Thanks for watching!
I absolutely love that bike!! It’s the perfect dirt bike for an old man like me!! I need to build one. Your channel is the BEST! Thanks for Sharing!!
Build one! You won't regret it 😀

The simplicity is so enjoyable!

You Cannot beat the old British bikes for some good old fun, two things I would get for it, side stand and fork brace, great looking desert sled,

You lucky, lucky, lucky bugger.
What a dream day...and that sound too.
Some bastards have all the luck 🤞😊
Very grateful🙏
You are getting so much enjoyment from that bike!
It's true!! Thanks for watching.
Love the unrestored patina on that sled. Just use it without worrying. Great video!
Thanks Clive! I agree. Ride 'em, don't hide 'em!
Thanks

Awesome video. Would love to see some build and bike flip videos
Thank you so much for the kind words Tom! Planning on releasing videos with that content moving forward 👍👍
More videos on this machine. 🔥
Thanks very much! I’ll work on some more videos 👍👍
I really need to get my 64 T120C TT finished
england is kind of not like the states in off road fun as too many think we are all not nice people :)
Leave the music out next time. Engine noise is plenty
Thanks for watching. I dig the tunes 😁
Awesome Bike! what make crash helmet are you wearing in this vid? Cheers
Thanks Ian! The helmet is a Biltwell Bonanza with the "Moto Visor". Very affordable setup. Just hoping it works well if I ever need it to!
@@wheelhousegarage Thanks Buddy
I think we'd rather hear your motorcycle than the rock-n-roll music while you're riding. It's a great bike. So let us hear it roar.
I get that and have since learned - check out some of of the newer videos and thank for watching!
"I saw that going differently." LOL, best line of the whole thing! King of Kool up 'til that point! Where did you video this? Loved those trails!
Haha! Thanks for watching the whole video! This is filmed above Arnold CA at a staging area called Black Springs OHV
Extend your swing arm by about 2 inches...
A shame music spoiled it, the engine tune was awesome.
Lol. Noted
Man; how tall are you? Bike looks tiny
5’11”
What no electric cruise control? No fuel injectors? No mono shock ? I bet people can’t figure out how you can ride with out all the BS ? It’s nice to actually ride ! No computers, just fun
Haha! 100%
Let the engine make the music..
Caliéntala un poquito antes de montar., duele escuchar rascar caja cambios., abrazos
Buen consejo. Soy impaciente :)
Dich music or period correct Johny guitar Watson space guitar
lol. Ive learned a lot since this video. Be sure to check out my recent stuff if you have time 👍 Thanks for watching!
Great bike and video spoilt by bloody awful music !
Thanks for watching despite the distaste of the music Steve! And thanks for the kind words on the bike!
She wants to live with me🥰
Hmmm, T shirt? Really?
Really! 😀
Would have rather listened to the bike than that stupid music .
Ya, I get that a lot. Check out some of the newer videos on this bike if you want to hear those straight pipes roar!
Turned off as soon as the music started
Check out some of my newer videos. I listened to the feedback👍
spark arrestor!? 🌲🌲
😬 Working on adding some col ones😉
