Nice work Tom. I’ve got one of these puncture repair kits in each of my cars (F15 and an F30), as neither are on run flats anymore. I haven’t had to use them yet, but I also have a jack in each car as well as a 12V compressor - just second hand bits of eBay - but they’ll be needed if you’re doing a roadside fix.
Nice job. I fancied one of these kits for road trips. As i run a AWD car i wanted a roadside fix for a leaking puncture rather than use the space saver. Plus I run PS5 so i keep my eyes peeled. I see an inordinate number of large bolts etc on the road. I must have good eyesight 😂This vid has given me some more confidence to look again at it. Cheers 😊😊😊
Front tyres easy to do on the car, as can be turned out and rolled to make the puncture easily accessible. I've never deflated a tyre to use such a kit.
Agreed mate, but if the car has a puncture and you’ve noticed driving there will be minimal air in it, so removing the valve is safer, still I’d try and let all the air out first, but the kit works my tyre hasn’t lost any air so far but it’s mainly a get home fix if you haven’t got a space saver tyre and don’t want to ring the AA
That’s what I use m8 i had nail in my old tyre and once plugged with this kit it lasted the life of tyre I keep it in boot with a pump,so easy to use hardest issue was getting offending nail etc out,as you did keep a good sturdy pliers in kit as ones with the kit as abit flimsy as you found also

All I’d say is keep a good set of players with the kit and you won’t have a problem, thanks for watching 👍🏻😎
Thanks for that

I was a bit sceptical mate but, it’s relatively easy to use, just ad some descent pliers to the kit 💪🏼😎

Worth noting that if you swap over from run flats, newer cars don’t come with a jack so something to consider when getting these kits.
Most cars have a jack, just tyre weld and a pump, but I know what you mean, no jack and its ring for help 😎💪🏼
Never needed to take the wheel off when using these, just move the car until the screw is at a convenient position.

It’ll be my go to now, not sure if Liz would do it, but runflats are a thing of the past😂, hope you’re good mate 👍🏻😎
@@BMWFAMuk good thanks m8 hope everyone’s good your end too
@deanpedley we’re doing well just now got a 3+month little one, he’s smashing it tho 🤞
How do you re-inflate the tyre at the roadside my Friend.
A foot pump...
I will be using an electric pump😂, I know i didn’t mention it in the video but common sense should prevail 🤔😎👍🏻
@@BMWFAMuk absolutely 😆👍
