I’ve accepted how absolutely fantastic Brock vs Cena was as a Cena fan growing up I realized as the years passed how brilliant it was. The fact that John Cena knew and agreed that we can’t waste beating the streak. Also if you compare it to other Cena matches you see just how versatile John’s matches were at Summerslam

Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar 2022 was good mostly because of how batshit insane it was. Table spots, a near cash in spot, Brock bringing out a f*cking tractor! It was nowhere near the best wrestling match, but it got you so invested in its insanity that it didn't matter at all.

Brock Lesnar vs undertaker at 2015 was great. Undertaker tapping, the hilarious Brock undertaker laugh became a meme, the ending was epic. It work.
I will forever remember Cena Lesnar I was a kid in my prime of WWE watching glued to the screen every night. I come check out what’s happening in WWE every now n then but idk nothing compares to 2004-2012 WWE era…golden age!

Funny story I hadn’t watched wrestling since the mania where Cena beat JBL, last year I was walking around Nashville with my wife and saw a billboard for summerslam in a week. Looked saw $20 nosebleed seats so got them because why not? Been back watching ever since.

The cena return against roman as a whole was such an emotional rollercoaster the little kid in me was rooting for cena all the way but from a storytelling standpoint i like the results of it very mixed emotions 😭

The fatal fourway for the universl championship was the first and last show I got to see and it really encapsulated everything about how I feel about WWE. My favorites put on the performance of their lives, I’m trying to ignore the rest of the crowd and root for Roman and then boom, Brock Lesnar

I agree with almost every placement of every match here, only one I’d change is the Shawn and hogan match. That match is hall of fame for me, even if it’s for the wrong reasons. Lmfao I know it’s bad, but I can never not laugh at the selling any time I watch.
Also about the undertaker at summerslam they did the right thing taker getting the win. Lesnar beating the streak was absolutely ridiculous wasted his 21 wins. Something took place heading to mania with vince having lesnar end the streak which wasnt the original outcome to it. My guess heyman and lesnar had a role in vince having taker put lesnar over
Always saw summerslam as the #3 show. Royal rubble is definitely #2 no question. Most of the times it’s more interesting than WRESTLEMANIA itself, at least in the past decade. But I know kayfabe wise wrestlemania is the biggest show of the year for wwe and royal rumble is right below it. Summerslam is just the best show of the summer that’s all it was. It’s slightly higher than survivor series but once again even survivor series is way more entertaining than summerlam
