Edge vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania 24 was their first ever 1 on 1 match and on the E&C podcast years ago.
Edge mentioned how after the match backstage. Undertaker walked up to edge and said "You, Shawn and Bret" which edge took as a massive compliment. Then they both had 2 more good matches and Backlash and Judgement Day 2008 and a great TLC match at One Night Stand 2008 and a 5 star HIAC match at Summerslam 2008.
Now in 2023 both guys sing each other praises. Edge has mentioned how Undertaker was his favourite opponent and Undertaker not only called Edge an all time great and ondme of the greatest in ring workers but also said Edge is his current favourite wrestler in a tiktok Q&A
I think that Edge vs Undertaker Wrestlemania match is Undertakers 3rd best behind both Shawn Michaels matches that followed it. Yes, i think its better than Taker vs Orton, all 3 Taker vs HHH, taker vs Punk, Taker vs Kane WM14 and Taker vs Batista

Undertaker will definitely always be synonymous with Wrestlemania, such a legendary streak of great matches. Man I remember watching Taker vs Michaels at 2010 and crying my eyeballs out at the end. I also remember watching Taker v Punk at 2013 and thinking “man this should’ve main evented”.

My heart literally dropped when Undertaker took a Sweet Chin Music and Pedigree back to back in WM28. I genuinely thought the Streak was over and even to this day when I watch the clip I still think he was gonna lose the match lol

Aj styles vs undertaker is legendary because of the perfect story telling of undertaker and getting to see more mark calaway persona and encompass his whole career in one match was brilliant.
The trash talking was absolutely insane in that segment too and really solidified that he was still the reaper before he retired.
I remember watching the undertaker: the last rude documentary, and said how he felt bad for not being able to give a roman a good match, and how it wasnt romans fault.
I feel really bad for both the Undertaker and Roman Reigns.

The fact that Taker never got to face guys like Kurt Angle, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Daniel Bryan etc. is sad. Still Taker had some banger matches.

The thing about the Jake Roberts match was the selling. The most iconic moment had to be after Jake hits him with the ddt; he goes for the pin, only for Undertaker to do his quick situp, and stares Roberts down. Classic.

I think the reason they didn’t have Angle vs Taker at WM22 was because they wanted to have Angle keep the title, but didn’t want Taker to lose his streak yet.

Hot take, with the stakes of retirement and standard from the previous year, I think taker vs Shawn at wrestlemania 26 topped the previous year. 25 was great, but the stakes being higher with great expectations, they topped it.

9:25 the whole rivalry between Randy Orton vs The Undertaker in 2005 was incredible
I know some people were saying that "blah blah Kane should have ended the streak to keep him feeling like a monster", but the streak really helped wrestlemania feel special, and elevated whoever he went up against for a good while there. Just banger match after banger match. I didn't even give a shit that the people were going to lose against taker, I knew when I watched a taker match they would both leave it all in the ring and make some magic. It always felt like after they faced taker that they were "main event level" permanently.
The streak wasn’t a thing during that match. But with hindsight it obviously worked out for the better

15:20 the drama surrounding the match, and the promos leading up to the matches were incredible between those 3. Add into that Hell in a Cell, Shawn as a special referee, etc and you have magic.

Say what you want, wrestlemania 25 to 28 was a 4 year legendary streak, the epic storylines, the efforts taker, hunter and hbk made, hbk retirement, hunter's revenge, then that cinematic ending in wrestlemania 28. it was the golden years.
I think that the Mark Henry match probably should've been replaced with the Undertaker vs John Cena. They both weren't at their peak but they were close and it could've been a banger.
If there was ever a time to do it, it was either here or WM26.

I just recently watched his last WrestleMania match with AJ. I personally loved it. They did what they had to and it turned out amazing. Undertaker was on it, even though the taping of it was hard for him. I also loved all the sh!t they talked to each other during the whole thing. A+. Aside from that, your ratings are accurate.

If Undertaker wanted to do one more match I think a Cinematic match between Bray Wyatt would be really cool. Since it’s Cinematic they could go as supernatural as they want and undertaker and bray not having wrestled in a while would be able to take there time creating the match so it looks good.
