And I know this next match was in 1995 but at Wrestlemania XI, I would have said Diesel vs Shawn Michaels instead of Bam Bam Bigelow vs Lawrence Taylor.
WM 33 should’ve been Jericho vs. KO! There story from SummerSlam all the way to the “festival of friendship” was a great mix of comedy, heartbreak, and good heel work. Had they not fed KO to Goldberg and had been for the Universal Title, it could have been great.
@ASirensFlame still wouldn't be main event as I said show had Brock vs Goldberg and taker vs roman. There were lot big world title matches which didn't main evented like seth vs Brock so no way y2j vs owens would've main evented unless there is no big match like Brock vs Goldberg and taker vs roman in card. Randy Orton won that year who is arguably bigger than y2j in company and Wyatt was more over and bigger than Owens but their match didn't main evented so y2j vs owens would happen at same time it happened that year but only difference it would be for universal instead of us
CM Punk should have been in the main event of WrestleMania 29 against The Rock and John Cena or main evented with Undertaker and won. Triple H vs Dean Ambrose should have main evented WrestleMania 32 with Dean Ambrose winning. Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair should have main evented WrestleMania 39 Night 1.
@@trewilliams8411 then they should have done a trilogy like Rock vs Stone Cold. Have a match at WrestleMania 27 with the story being John Cena is seen as the next People's Champion and The Rock wanting to prove he's the one and only People's Champion. Rock wins and have a rematch with the story being John Cena almost beat The Rock and he thinks if they wrestle again he could. At WrestleMania 28 John Cena loses again, has the worst year ever then wins the 2013 Royal Rumble and later that night The Rock wins the WWE Championship and they have one final match at WrestleMania 29 where John Cena final beats The Rock and as an added bonus, wins the WWE Championship.
Honestly, I would have Charlotte vs. Becky vs. Sasha main event for Mania 32 because my brain is actually not damaged. For Mania 33, I'd probably extend Goldberg vs. Lesnar as a monster movie blockbuster because someone decided that Cena vs. Taker for the world title or a solo Cena vs. Orton at Mania was a bad idea 🙄 Edit: Nah wait, HHH vs. Rollins is not a bad choice either.
Fairly sure WrestleMania 36 (2020) was always scheduled to be a one night event, wasn't until after they had announced that it would be infront of no fans they decided it was best to be two nights. Probably because of the massive card with no fans etc. And they had planned to go back to one night for 38 I believe. Thankfully they kept it at two nights!
wm 22 - rey vs angle vs orton wm 23 - batista vs undertaker wm 24 - flair vs hbk wm 25 - hbk vs undertaker wm 27 - undertaker vs hhh wm 29 - undertaker vs punk wm 33 - jericho vs owens/ orton vs wyatt/rollins vs hhh wm 34 - styles vs nakamura
33 just had the wrong Universal title match. Should have been Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho for the Universal title, and that match probably should have closed the show, but the expected last match for the Undertaker would have main evented any WrestleMania even if he fought a wheelie bin. I also feel bad for the Charlotte vs. Rhea match at 39 n1 because that match would have main evented 90% of WrestleMania's except the show it was on and like 2 or 3 others
First ever women’s main event was awesome to have but come on Kofi kingston vs Daniel Bryan. Kofi winning the title is definitely a top 5 wrestlemania moment ever i would have it main event
For WM 22 there was alot that was supposed to happen but didnt do to circumstances. Shawn was gonna face Eddie, Vince was gonna face Brett in the street fight, and they intended to have Batista hold the BGB all the way to WM 22 with Randy originally set to win the Rumble.
I know that it was all three of their wrestlemania debuts, but the Women's Triple Threat would have been the best choice to main event Wrestlemania 32. It would have solidified the Women's Revolution. If they feel like it wasn't big enough then they could have called Bayley up early and also made it a 4 Horsewomen Fatal Four Way
Lol it can't be main event that time because women's division was just growing and started to taken seriously you can't accept Charlotte Becky Sasha to main event that's too WrestleMania when they just debuted 6 - 8 months before mania they weren't even that popular that time compare to today's. 2019 was main evented because Charlotte and Becky became top 2 women's in wwe and Ronda was already big name
About the WrestleMania 40 Main Event and following what i already said: Night 1: Bayley vs Iyo Sky Night 2: Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns (vs The Rock maybe)
I would personally change the wm 19 main event to a triple threat. Angle vs Lesnar vs Benoit or have Angle vs Benoit. The combo between Angle and Benoit was legendary and they should have got a bigger stage (not including wm 17) for a world championship in an amazing storyline
WM32 is a situation where we all absolutely hated that match, but could not change it even if we wanted to due to no other match on that card looking even feasible to be the main event. Unless we're talking about the women's truple threat but then we would have the proble of Charlotte closing out Mania as champion and even back then, NO ONE wanted that to happen.
Women's triple threat match can't be main event since women's division was only growing and all 3 women's Sasha Charlotte Becky wasn't that even known popular to WWE that time compare to 2019 Charlotte Becky and Ronda. You can't except women's match main event when all those 3 just debuted 6-8 months before mania
I wanna see that Iyo v. Bayley as the night 1 main event!! Now that Cody and Roman is official, that's gotta be night two and we don't know whats happening with the Rock yet. Iyo versus Bayley deserves it given the story.
If you're going off of what Triple H said last year as to why The Usos vs Sami/KO main evented over say the Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley because of the storyline and the history, then the Main Event of Night 1 this year is hands down, no questions asked is Iyo vs Bayley. This is over a year in the making and deserves to be the Main Event.
1992 Flair vs Savage was the only time the world title wasn’t the main event or last match on the card, the last match that year was Hogan vs Sid but this was the first time the world title wasn’t the main event
THIS WM was the Biggest Missed Opportunity WM.. The Main Event SHOULD'VE BEEN Hogan vs Flair AND Flair SHOULD'VE WON CLEAN with the Figure Four... If WWF(E) had some Gnads!
Wrestlemania 27 is my least favorite WrestleMania of all time, but I probably wouldn't hate it quite as much as I do if HHH/Taker main evented like it should've. That match is still a top 5 streak match imo
A few pointers - this year's Mania could be all about Rock Reigns vs Rhodes Rollins night 1 and then Reigns vs Rhodes night 2 If WWE were to keep the title on Reigns post WM as well then the correct order would be to swap those matches. Have Reigns vs Rhodes night 1 where Reigns with ample support from the Bloodline retains somehow and then the next night Rhodes pins Reigns in the tag match getting his revenge and sending the fans Home happy. - the Get out of here bit at the end is taken from Gotham Chess and doesn't feel original. Rather have you create something orignal of your own Santi. - Love your content and have been streaming more and more of it recently. Keep going and All the very Best
With hindsight, WrestleMania should have become 2 nights as from WrestleMania 28. One cannot not book Rock/Cena, Reigns/Lesnar and others as main event whether it's disappointing or not. But it would have given so many deserving Night 1 main events (WM28 - HIAC match, WM29, Punk/Taker, WM30 - Streak Ends ect ..)
Wrestlemania 32 should’ve been the first women’s main event. That triple threat match is so good and is by far the only match worth main eventing that show. (Even if it did have the wrong winner)
For me the WM28 main event should of been Triple H vs The Undertaker in Hell in a Cell "End of an Era"... it was match of the night and easily could of main eventen, but I get it, Cena vs Rock was what everyone wanted to see..
The years not included but needs a mention 1992 - wwe championship match between roc flair and Randy savage 1997 - stone cold vs bret hart 1993 - bret hart vs Yokozuna and not have hulk hogan use his creative control to get another title by squashing Yokozuna after the match 1991 - ultimate warrior vs Randy savage career vs career match
4:07 should have been Stone Cold vs The Rock considering that this would be the last match of Stone Cold for 19 years and that The Rock would I think have only one more match after this before leaving for 7 years, and plus its The Rock and Stone Cold what more can you ask for.
The John Cena vs Undertaker match at WM 34 should have main evented if they wanted to go in the direction of a “WWE bred” guy in the main event. Other than that, AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura could have been a repeat of their past Wrestlekingdom match; the nut kicking fest can come later which is debatable.
I still firmly believe that Rey vs Angle vs Orton if they were provided time considering that entire narrative. Wouldve been argued as the match of the decade.
WrestleMania 33 should have been Main Evented by KO vs Jericho for the Universal title, that was by far the hottest story going into the show right after KO turned on Jericho at the Festival of Friendship. They ruined it by having Goldberg take the title from KO which killed all the steam in that rivalry. The US title match at the start of the show didn't hit the same.
‼️‼️‼️I don't know how many would agree...but in my opinion WrestleMania 28 'The End of An Era' Match is the best ...and it should have mainevented.. because I don't know how many times i watched that match...shawn sweet chin's taker to a pedigree ..nd taker kicks out..that moment..my god and finally all three of them standing at the end..was beautiful story telling
This is more of a rebooking, but Kevin Owens should not have had to drop the Universal Title to Goldberg, and KO vs Jericho should’ve been the main event of Mania 33 for the UT. One of the best storylines of the year leading up to Mania.
imo the main program and best program should be the main event. I think it was still the right call for miz vs cena and triple h vs randy orton even tho the matches were a bit underwhelming.
I would still put Punk V Taker over Rock V Cena 2 simply because it was a match we had all already seen, it didn't turn out to be that great, it was kinda pointless in the long run, it took the title off of punk robbing us of a punk Mania title match and a possible eventual Summer slam bout with Daniel Bryan if he held it long enough in this timeline, oh and ya know, it would have given CM punk the mania main event he so desperately wanted and might have been enough to keep him going?
About WM 33: Seth Rollins vs Triple H could have been the perfect main event but the storyline and the match itself were completely underwhelming. Even though Lesnar vs Goldberg was a 5 minute match, I still think it would have been a great main event. They surprisely made up for their awful match at WM 20 and this time they got it right. The perfect 5 minutes main event match that could have been existed. About WM 34: the right choice was to leave Cena vs Taker until the end and making it at least a 10 minute match.
I want the main event of night one to be Seth Rollins vs Sami Zayn vs Drew McIntyre. It could end with Sami winning and having at least a six month run that ends with an epic feud with this FANTASTIC heel version of Drew McIntyre beating him.
Imagine if WrestleMania 34 ended with Brock winning only for John Cena to come out saying that he was promised a match with Undertaker, and we get the squash match that we got. I think fans would've left some fans happier than the Brock beating Roman match.
For me the Royal Rumble Winner should always main Event WrestleMania, no matter what other storylines are going on. That's what it has been promoted since the beginning of Royal Rumble, even at this years Rumble the ring announcer Samantha said it: "The winner of the Royal Rumble will go on to have a championship Match at the MAIN EVENT of WrestleMania" "But there's more stories that are more interesting" Well make the Royal Rumble winner's Story interesting then. And it's even easier since its a two nights event now. Night 1: Women's Rumble Winner vs the Champion she chose Night 2: Men's Rumble winner vs the Champion he chose. Or vice Versa, depending on what's more hot from storyline perspective at the moment
@@antmc84 IKR. The Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns story is important, even bigger since The Rock came back. I'm pretty sure it has to and will main Event night 2 of WrestleMania. But Night 1 should go to Bayley and Iyo. Their Damage Control narrative is very emotional and they're both great wrestlers who deserve the Main Event on that big stage. If Cody's story wasn't that good and people investing in it so much, Bayley and Iyo definitely deserved night 2 Main Event. Just don't put other storylines higher in the card than the Rumble winners
Shawn Michaels vs Ric Flair should've main evented WM 24. Yes, that was not Flair's last match but for what it was in 2008, the story, the match, the emotions, it would've been great as yhe main event😊
Literally WM27 i fucking hate it! I was 12 and omg it literally made me quit watching WWE 😮 after that night -2022 i didnt watch WWE. I was baffled how fucking (ima swear a lot) bad this shit was! The Rock didnt do anything as the host to make it awesome. It was stupid. The opening match being the World Championship?!?!?!!?!? Why? It made the match feel less special and no big build up. I love Edge but as a Mexican, i GAVE 0 SHITS about Alberto! I hated the WWE championship match! I dont like the Miz (like how Gunther described him). And i dont buy that Miz was a guy that can kick a big strong guy's ass like Cena 🙄 LOOKING BACK this should have happened that would make it better! - Santino beats Alberto in the 40 men Royal Rumble (i also wasnt a big fan of Santino's humor). But had he won would have been the biggest surprise ever! * Santino vs Miz for the WWE championship match would have been great to see with the right build up promos MAIN EVENT what we all wanted: Edge vs John Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship singles match! 😮
Quite the pattern - Every single WrestleMania Main Event with HHH in it didn’t live up to the hype and they blame another match for taking the steam away… 16, 18, 21, 22, 25 and 32.
People think the best match of the night should be the main event or the world title match that’s not the case at all… it should be the biggest story going in that main events… in terms of booking and build it the main event of Wrestlemania 19 should have been hogan vs Vince…
I have to disagree with changing Cena vs HBK at Wrestlemania 23. I personally really enjoyed the buildup to that match, with Cena and HBK being tag team champs, and everyone just waiting for HBK to stab Cena in the back and they kept teasing it until it finally happened, which led to their main event match.

United States can't be main event neither there star power was higher than Goldberg vs Brock and roman vs taker or triple h vs seth
Randy Orton won that year who is arguably bigger than y2j in company and Wyatt was more over and bigger than Owens but their match didn't main evented so y2j vs owens would happen at same time it happened that year but only difference it would be for universal instead of us
taker vs triple h as the main event at mania 27 would have been amazing especially after that ending
Disagree man Cena needed To beat the the rock one on one and get his redemption
They’ve been doing stadium shows since wrestlemania 23
Expect for WrestleMania 36 but that’s understandable because we literally just entered lockdown from the pandemic
Orton at Mania was a bad idea 🙄
Edit: Nah wait, HHH vs. Rollins is not a bad choice either.
Rock vs Hogan the match that made me a wrestling fan
My favorite match.
We all know the women’s tag team showcase should have main evented Wrestlemania 39 last year. Most exciting match of the entire weekend
😂😂😂😂
Truly epic. Sheamus, Drew, and Gunther ain't got nothing on it
Fairly sure WrestleMania 36 (2020) was always scheduled to be a one night event, wasn't until after they had announced that it would be infront of no fans they decided it was best to be two nights. Probably because of the massive card with no fans etc. And they had planned to go back to one night for 38 I believe. Thankfully they kept it at two nights!
wm 22 - rey vs angle vs orton
wm 23 - batista vs undertaker
wm 24 - flair vs hbk
wm 25 - hbk vs undertaker
wm 27 - undertaker vs hhh
wm 29 - undertaker vs punk
wm 33 - jericho vs owens/ orton vs wyatt/rollins vs hhh
wm 34 - styles vs nakamura
The women’s main event made sense, but the ending was botched.
@@EG101_Official if 2016 and 19 were swapped then 2016 triple treat would've main evented as all 3 women's were top 3 in wwe
For WM 22 there was alot that was supposed to happen but didnt do to circumstances. Shawn was gonna face Eddie, Vince was gonna face Brett in the street fight, and they intended to have Batista hold the BGB all the way to WM 22 with Randy originally set to win the Rumble.
Big Show vs Cody Rhodes wm 29
90s baby but wrestlemania 27 first one can remember watching lol
About the WrestleMania 40 Main Event and following what i already said:
Night 1: Bayley vs Iyo Sky
Night 2: Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns (vs The Rock maybe)
38 night one I would of made Becky vs Bianca the main event, it had a great story going into it and the match was the best of the whole show.
I would personally change the wm 19 main event to a triple threat. Angle vs Lesnar vs Benoit or have Angle vs Benoit.
The combo between Angle and Benoit was legendary and they should have got a bigger stage (not including wm 17) for a world championship in an amazing storyline
For WM 40 they definitely should do something BIG!!!
I'm ONLY Agreeing b/c Punk is Hurt.. Or else Punk vs. Rollins WAS the Night 1 Main Event..
That match made me piss my pants. I was so worried lol
@@kevinuchiha6830 😆I though HHH had him when he stole Taker's tombstone
@@NikolaiVid01 lol 😂
A few pointers
- this year's Mania could be all about Rock Reigns vs Rhodes Rollins night 1 and then Reigns vs Rhodes night 2
If WWE were to keep the title on Reigns post WM as well then the correct order would be to swap those matches.
If Austin announced mania 19 was gonna be his last match it should've main evented.
Wrestlemania 32 should’ve been the first women’s main event. That triple threat match is so good and is by far the only match worth main eventing that show. (Even if it did have the wrong winner)
I never thought the last match of wrestlenania was the main event because in a lot of cases the best match wasnt the last one
becky, charlotte and sasha was definitely a main event worthy match at wrestlemania 32. best match on the card outside the ic ladder match
You should do what matches would main event if every Wrestlemania was 2 nights
your takes are something else:
1. WM 24 Flair V Micheals
2. WM 34 Rousey Angle V HHH Stephanie
3. WM 32 Womens Triple Threat
4. WM 38 Austin V Owens
For me the WM28 main event should of been Triple H vs The Undertaker in Hell in a Cell "End of an Era"... it was match of the night and easily could of main eventen, but I get it, Cena vs Rock was what everyone wanted to see..
The years not included but needs a mention
1992 - wwe championship match between roc flair and Randy savage
1997 - stone cold vs bret hart
1993 - bret hart vs Yokozuna and not have hulk hogan use his creative control to get another title by squashing Yokozuna after the match
1991 - ultimate warrior vs Randy savage career vs career match
So what im hearing is, the last 6 matches of the streak before mania xxx were phenomenal
4:07 should have been Stone Cold vs The Rock considering that this would be the last match of Stone Cold for 19 years and that The Rock would I think have only one more match after this before leaving for 7 years, and plus its The Rock and Stone Cold what more can you ask for.
I EDGE MYSELF TO THIS SANTI :)
Nother banger💯💯
The end of an era hell in a cell match between triple H and the undertaker should of main evented
This year night 2 brock vs roman part 4 legends are waiting for it
for 34 I would go with the match that started the show. The intercontinental triple threat between rollins, miz, and finn
Very hot take only because I love him JBL Vs Cena
Rock vs hogan was a unexpected reaction, they couldn't have known to go last
At the time i wasn't the biggest Daniel Bryan fan, however WM 30 was fantastic. In my opinion the greatest WM of all time.
Asuka vs Charlotte at WM34 should have been main evented
The Cody & Seth Rollins segment was 👀👀👀
I would still put Punk V Taker over Rock V Cena 2 simply because it was a match we had all already seen, it didn't turn out to be that great, it was kinda pointless in the long run, it took the title off of punk robbing us of a punk Mania title match and a possible eventual Summer slam bout with Daniel Bryan if he held it long enough in this timeline, oh and ya know, it would have given CM punk the mania main event he so desperately wanted and might have been enough to keep him going?
Banger video again santi keep it up!
I'll tell you what should've main evented WrestleMania 33 Chris Jericho Vs. Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship
Roman Reigns main evented 7 WrestleMania’s. He was on the main event of 31,32,33,34,37,38, and 39.
I want the main event of night one to be Seth Rollins vs Sami Zayn vs Drew McIntyre. It could end with Sami winning and having at least a six month run that ends with an epic feud with this FANTASTIC heel version of Drew McIntyre beating him.
Nah drew deserves to win at mania not sami zayn
@@thegameking3931 I haven't got a problem with that either.
Imagine if WrestleMania 34 ended with Brock winning only for John Cena to come out saying that he was promised a match with Undertaker, and we get the squash match that we got. I think fans would've left some fans happier than the Brock beating Roman match.
WrestleMania 40
Night 1 Jimmy Uso vs Jey Uso or Seth Rollins vs EC Winner
Night 2 Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes
For me the Royal Rumble Winner should always main Event WrestleMania, no matter what other storylines are going on. That's what it has been promoted since the beginning of Royal Rumble, even at this years Rumble the ring announcer Samantha said it: "The winner of the Royal Rumble will go on to have a championship Match at the MAIN EVENT of WrestleMania"
"But there's more stories that are more interesting" Well make the Royal Rumble winner's Story interesting then. And it's even easier since its a two nights event now.
Night 1: Women's Rumble Winner vs the Champion she chose
Night 2: Men's Rumble winner vs the Champion he chose.
Or vice Versa, depending on what's more hot from storyline perspective at the moment
I'm Glad u put the VICE VERSA in there. Agreed!
Do a video on what matches triple h should’ve won or lost at every wrestlemania
Hot take: Charlotte-Sasha would have headlined Night 1 of WrestleMania 38. KO and Stone Cold were elevated only because Ronda flopped badly.
Shawn Michaels vs Ric Flair should've main evented WM 24. Yes, that was not Flair's last match but for what it was in 2008, the story, the match, the emotions, it would've been great as yhe main event😊
BAYLEY IS HITTT
1:02 ITS NOT A PHASE MOM!
And i dont buy that Miz was a guy that can kick a big strong guy's ass like Cena 🙄
LOOKING BACK this should have happened that would make it better!
- Santino beats Alberto in the 40 men Royal Rumble (i also wasnt a big fan of Santino's humor). But had he won would have been the biggest surprise ever!
* Santino vs Miz for the WWE championship match would have been great to see with the right build up promos
MAIN EVENT what we all wanted:
Edge vs John Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship singles match! 😮
WrestleMania 40 Is Going To Be A Really Good And Memorable❤
from wrestlemania 24-29 the main event should’ve been the undertakers matches
