I've been defending this game super hard since it came out. The gameplay is incredible and the story is actually perfect and honors the themes and characters of its predecessor so well that the sheer ignorance behind the backlash has me disgusted at people's ability to analyze art. It amounts to saying something like "Blood Meridian is an objectively bad novel because I didn't like the way that it made me feel." I hope that history will appreciate this landmark of interactive storytelling with the reverence that it actually deserves. Side note: If it wasn't a labor of love it wouldn't have taken the risks that it did.
Also, "the storm... is relentless..." a fanatic facing his own mortality reaching out to try to elicit an empathetic response from the person who is about to kill them... is fucking unscripted npc circumstantial side dialogue that elaborates on the central themes of the narrative. These people seriously need to be appreciated for their work.

@GTMO Mack yup and even if you are crawling on tall grass, and then you stopped, if they come close, not even the closest, they'll detect you and shoot you. Also even if you stealth kill an enemy, if another enemy is closer despite the lack of visual, they will still know you're there so better keep the distance.
Ive found only one real bug and im pretty far into NG+, i was able to move and pick up the item early while the open cabinet and look inside animation was still playing, and Ellie's left arm got stuck reaching forward no matter how i moved or what i equipped lol. it was funny but stopped on reload
People say that the combat for both of the last of us games are not that fun. I hate when they say that. I enjoyed the first games combat thoroughly even on my grounded run.
I thought the combat was solid in the first game when it came out. There were clearly issues. Especially, with your companions A.I. and several occasions enemies can be very wonky. This game improves in every area and then some. The level design is some of the best I've ever seen as well. They did a fantastic job with it. The A.I. has been greatly improved as well. Your companions can still be wonky here and there, but the enemies react extremely well to pretty much everything. When people say the combat isn't fun idk what they really expect from the game. They are trying to go for a realistic approach or as realistic as they can while still making it fun. This isn't God of War or Dark Souls or Devil May Cry or Spider-Man. I enjoyed it and that's all that matters. People complain about everything these days.

I feel they perfected it in part 2.. but story wise the other way round, yeah the story was all over the place and nothing compared to the first tlou, but gameplay and graphics wise tlou2 is incredible and looks, feels and plays like next gen - especially on my pro and 65" 4k hdr TV. Amazing game

i love the moment where they run up the stairs, they took 2 steps at a time like a normal human. i remember a lot of games where you run up the stairs they would go at Mach 7 instead

The stealth isnt really that difficult on survivor, however im prettyy experienced eith stealth games, definitely a step up from other games though

A so violent game.
For some reason whenever I aim with the bow I never see the white dot. Even after I put rangefinder on it nothing changed. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?
