These are such painful truths that were not taught to us in the schools. They told us about religious freedom sought by 'God fearing people'. Someone once told me that it takes 63 years to wipe out all traces of history to ignorant people like what was done as Africans were captured and brought to this country. They were not permitted to speak their language to each other, practice their faith that had brought them through centuries of wisdom and teach life skills to make it in America. We were also told that the jury system is a fair system. No way can hate and prejudice ever be fair to what is being taught in the home, churches and communities. These are such painful truths that were not taught to us in the schools. They told us about religious freedom sought by 'God fearing people'. Someone once told me that it takes 63 years to wipe out all traces of history to ignorant people like what was done as Africans were captured and brought to this country. They were not permitted to speak their language to each other, practice their faith that had brought them through centuries of wisdom and teach life skills to make it in America. We were also told that the jury system is a fair system. No way can hate and prejudice ever be fair to what is being taught in the home, churches and communities.
