Well, within the two minutes or so you solved basically the exact issues I am having with my gas pedals. Huge tips, thank you!! I'm glad I chose a gbody since every time I search something, it's already been done.
I saw it on a forum somewhere, maybe facebook. I'm pretty sure that when I googled G-Body LS Swap pedal, I found it again another time. I hope that helps.
@geraldcrutchfield1451 they're mid length stainless headers from Amazon. I do not recommend. They tick! check out the video I did on lessons learned from this project. On my 57 truck, I did stock manifolds and it sounds great.
Thanks for the video and information. I was very excited about this pedal. The pedal mounts and fits good in the gbody even the connector and wire colors are the same. But when connected with my LS3 2003-2007 truck tac module there is no throttle response. My TrailBlazer LM4 pedal works with no problems so will most likely have to build a mounting bracket and offset the pedal. Has anyone gotten this pedal to work with an LS3 motor? Does anyone know of a better LS3 pedal that would fit good in a GBODY and work with LS3 truck tac module? I'm hoping to minimize mounting location changes and pedal modifications if possible.
This pedal only works with Gen IV to my understanding. I'm not really sure on switching from DBC to DBW. I've been just buying DBW stuff because I find it easier.
Pedal fits but wiring configuration doesn't match up therefore wont control acceleration.......please let us know if you figured out wiring configuration. Thanks
Slow Car Fix , how did the Impala pedal work out for your swap? I'm swapping in a genIV 4.8 from a 2010 truck into my 69 Chevelle. Everything works good with the big plastic pedal from the truck, but when I put in the pedal I got from a 2010 Corvette it doesn't do anything. I've tried several different wiring diagrams found online, but can't get it to work. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated man! Oh yeah, this is my first car also. Got her when I was 16....I'm 51 now.
Zero issues, works just like it should with thousands of miles on the clock. It was a good find, only good for Gen IV, but that's what you have, should be good.
@@SlowCarFix hey man, thank you for replying so quick! Could you send me that picture that shows how you wired up the pedal? I would like to try it to see if the Vette pedal I bought might work, wired that way. Haha… I wish I would have found you before I bought it. I'm disabled, because of bad back surgeries and car funds are pretty scarce. Thanks again man, and I love your work.
@@SlowCarFix what year was yours? I thought on Gen IV engines the tac was integrated to the ECU? Or are you referring to the later gen 3’s with the metal back tac and 6 pin plugs? I had a U0107 on startup so I’m just trying to see if the pedal is my problem?

I'm glad it was helpful for you. Thanks for watching.
Learning to solder would make your life easier, and your projects more aesthetically pleasing/ reliable. It's easier than you think
I can solder, every connection under the hood is soldered and heat shrink. I elected to not solder under the dash for convenience.
Really like the list idea on the back window... can’t wait to start my swap
Glad you enjoyed. Good luck with your project!
you dont know how much time you just saved me
that's awesome to hear! Mission accomplished. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos, spread the word.
The tan wire the originally went to your coil will work for ing 12VDC
I like your attitude. Subbed.
Thanks glad to hear! Welcome!
Hey nice video, where did you find the wiring diagram

I found it. What type of headers did you use. Are they long tube

To my knowledge this pedal only works on a GEN IV LS. Please let me know if you find that it works for other generations.
Where did u find the correct pin out
I searched on Google. Found it in a forum.
I have a gen 2 would a dbc tac module work with the dbw.

What about a gen v
Does your engine have a TAC module and if so what type? Currently working on this with a 2007 Chevy Express LR4
I have a matching TB and Tac from the van (it’s the tac with the metal plate on the back)
yes, the stock TB and TAC for the Gen IV 5.3

pedal works great, 8000kms and no issues.
Did you get it figured out ?
Did you not need the tac module from the og engine?
No, I did not. No issues.
Did a tac module come with your setup? I'm thinking no. Since, it was from an 08 GM SUV/Truck.
Gen 4 setups dont use a tach module
Thank you buddy
no problem, I hope you enjoyed.
