FINALLY we have an exhaust for the 2019 ninja zx6r, as you all know I left my 2019 ninja zx6r in FL but before I left we went ahead and installed the akrapovic exhaust and S pipe eliminating the fuel emissions system which took off a ton of weight and gained a respectable amount of horsepower!

Nice bike and beautiful exhaust mate! One thing: the box is not the cat. This is a flow box designed for emission rules. The cat is more up front right in the middel of your stock headers. The bike sounds great anyways though! ;)
I have that same slip-on, the new shape they did looks crazy.
• I removed the pre-chamber (you call this the cat, the cat is actually in the single end of the header pipe) and replaced it with a custom straight flow mid-pipe (allowed for stock heat shields to bolt back on) I got this custom mid pipe for 150$ from MJS Performance, expanded to fit the wider akrapovic pipe.
• Gutted the cats out of the header. Banged it out took like 2 hours because I didn't want to damage the pipe if I missed.
• Installed BMC Race filter - what a difference over stock, and noticeably better than K&N.
• Installed Block-Off Plates, and I removed the pair valve and did a jumper mod so it wouldn't throw a code. This removal of anti-smog pair valve prevents the popping noises on decel or coasting and makes you exhaust smell amazing. These backfires can actually be damaging to your engine.
• I welded in an o2 bung to the header (theres actually a flat spot which is perfect for this) and wired up the auto tune
• Added a Power Commander V and Auto Tune modules in the tail section, cleaned out a nice compartment and looks super clean.

Did you cut your cat off? I got the Yoshi Alpha T pipe and it came with mid pipe that slips into cat and muffler that slips onto mid pipe. If you gutted or cut off your cat don't you get engine light on?
@@SpyvsSpy-yl9ip I gutted it.. There are a couple tutorials on youtube.. one guy named piston Slap has one. I took the header off when I did mine though (he left his on). And no, unless where you live requires emissions (o2 sensor comes installed stock) then removing the cat it does not affect or throw any engine codes. it is not like a car where removing the cat will throw an emission check engine code.

Nice!! That Akrapovic looks sick. My exhaust is messed up and my cbr600rr. I’m about to change it out. Don’t think I can afford to put an Akrapovic on it though.
The Akra was a good choice man ! It’s one of the best for most Kawasaki’s, the only one that’s really close is Yoshimura.
Gandalf with an AK-47 I’ve got a yoshimura rs3 on my Zx9r and I’ll second that there proper decent exhausts never had an akrapovic but I know there a favourite for most Kawi owners 👍
I think that akras are best on KTMs . It sounds sexier to my ears .
Gerasimos Awesome I agree ! Akrapovic have a long history with KTM in motocross, and road bikes too. Akra is probably the best for most KTM’s. (Exept for the Duke 125, I had one and for some reason the Arrow exhaust system looked better, sounded better and made more HP.. I think Akrapovic just made the Akra for the 390 Duke and didn’t really bother changing anything for the much smaller 125 Duke. The only fault I know between Akra and KTM.)
Kris Mallion I love the look of the rs-3, it has that proper iconic 90’s look, I bet it looks perfect on your bike ! I always loved the bikes from the late (and early) 90’s, Around 2003-ish a lot of bikes were suddenly down on power.. probably because of emissions and such. And the looks were getting worse and worse too, exept for MV Agusta and Kawasaki, one of my favorites is the 2003-2004 “636” ZX-6R.

Use Woolich racing for your ecu flash, this will provide you with a much broader tune than a PCV tune, powercommander only tunes in blocks of 20% throttle opening, whereas a Woolich flash directly to the ecu allows you to tune in increments of 1% throttle opening. Much cleaner tune in the end and you will also be learning how to tune. Oh yeah, get rid of that baffle, throw it in the yard, kick it a couple times... lol!

You can actually just remove the cables without any issues as i did it to mine without any problems, make sure to remove the CATS out of the header pipe , i just used the conventional hammer and a wide screw driver and the job is a gooden , did you consider the Austin Racing exhaust? Trust me it sounds fucking amazing 😃

I’m so glad you got that mid pipe to delete the cats bro. ALL the timeee I see guys get $600-$1000 cans and slap them on their bike without deleting the cats: and it literally just sounds stock. Such a waste of money unless you fully send it and do a cat delete
The cat is still there at the end of header pipe in zx6r. The big box is a expansion chamber.

All respect...that's not a cat. That's a Resonator. The cat is in the header. I had the 13', and 15' 636. This bike is fundamentally the same.

I installed a leovince slipon on my 17 zx6r. If you don't remove the servo the FI light will not come on. I'm cheap and paying 60 us for that servo buddy is a waste of money unless you wanna shave another 2 pounds maybe for that servo.
Get rid of those big mirrors and get bar in mirrors it look Better

I have a cat less slip on for my 19 zx6r and it says racing only printed into the muffler itself lol . No fi light and I bought the servo buddy but I never got that light so never installed it
i have the same bike but opted for the m4 GP because its alot louder... i love Akrapovic but the new one for this bike is too quiet for my taste lmao. still super clean tho...

For those of you installing - BE CAREFUL with that graphite gasket. I broke mine after applying slight pressure wondering what the hell it was.
It’s $35 a pop... Lesson learned. Have to wait a little longer to install.

Does yours have stock gearing? I have a 2018 and I cant get it to clutch up in 3rd. I usually clutch up in 2nd and shift to 3rd at balance point.

Yoooo DANK! Question: I’m installing a M4 GP19 slip-on onto my 2021 ZX-6r and I’ll be eliminating the cat-converter along with adding the servo buddy. With that being said, is a flash needed? Does it ruin the bike in any way if I go without doing this? Thanks.
No. Adding a slip on doesn't do anything to the performance. You only need that stuff if you do a full exhaust replacement.
Can you post what you use/bought to hook up the phone mount to the gas cover? From what I see, the zx6r 2019 dont have the bolt holes visible and which mount bracket supports the zx6r 2019. Thanks.
That isn't a gas cap mount. Suction cup
It's a baffle box not a cat. Cat is in the headers.
On mine it was NOT A CAT . It was A RESIGNATOR, the CATS ARE IN THE HEADERS 2 layers of them, you can dig them out . But be patient. It takes about 2 hours 🤘🤘 they are buggers.
