I'm late to the game (been out of the satorialsphere), but I like the look of most Taft boots. My main concern with the rubber stud/grips is whether that's good enough to prevent slipping and sliding. Too bad they don't offer an option to get commando soles/vibrams on everything.
I think your reviews are honest and there are not many youtubers out there like you. Awesome job!
For $5 more, I’d go with the Carlos Santos Chelsea boot - in fact, I DID go with the CS. Outstanding value, GY welted, and VERY comfortable.

Awaiting Chelsea boot order; Taft’s creative take on men’s footwear is a breath of fresh air. Have you tried a Chelsea from Adelante Shoe Co.? Very durable uppers, made to order, design that also echo Latin heritage.
I am concerned about the longevity of shoes and boots so I do appreciate the follow up videos.

I didn't really see this in your original video but how was the fit? Did you find them true to size? Did the shoes loosen up over time? How is the sound walking on the floor? How do the shoes do on carpeted surface, especially those you would see in an office setting?
Would like to see a review of Vintos shoes & boots. I've been looking at their custom offerings, and tempted to purchase.
I've strongly been considering their Jodhpurs in the salt colored suede. I went with a cheaper pair from Beckett Simonon and was wondering if they're going to hold up as well.

Hey Jon, good to see you posting again! I just got a pair of Grant Stone Ottawa boots recently and am totally blown away. I think they hit the quality / value mark very well (much higher quality compared to Taft & Thursday IMO). Check them out if you get a chance. Cheers 🤘
Thoughts on 1/4 zips? I’m eyeing the ministry of supply offering but I don’t know how to wear them. T shirt? Button down?
How did you get yours with a much lighter elastic part? On the website the elastic looks a lot darker
Is it a good pair or is it better to pay a bit more and get Carmina? You've got both brands
I think it’s always worth stepping into the next tier if you can afford it but once you have this nice of leather and construction you have diminishing returns. 2 Taft = 1 Carmina to someone would depend on the style they’re going for ☺️
I've been thinking about picking up their Dragon 2.0's, would be curious to hear your thoughts on them if you decided to pick them up in their Fall sale
I know both Stridewise and Carl Murawski reviewed the 2.0s and had positive things to say about them.
I actually bought some myself and am mostly satisfied except for one spot on the right heel that's remained tight.

@@The_Kavalier I'm very happy with them. I tried the Common Projects Chelseas on and I feel they are of similar quality. The suede is amazing quality and hits all aspects of a high quality boot. Good year welt, danite type sole, great inner lining, stitched well. Great craftsmanship. I may order the Beckett Simonon leather ones. Got that old school sophisticated feel. I gave in and ordered the Reid sneakers. After discount price is just too good

Hey Jon, do you ever wear the Taft Chelsea's in light or medium rain?
I'm not John but I own a pair of the TAFT Jude boots in cognac and I have worn them everywhere. I wouldn't stand in direct rain for a long time but they can definitely take some rain, just let it dry out afterwards and if they get too soaked I would stick some newspaper in there until they dry. Give them a brush with a suede brush after and you are good to go.

Taft has great structure designs... But waaay too bold colours and leathers.. which most people are not confident to wear.. (I.e kinda ugly imo)
