    Seeing your prayer book reminded me, I just got a Disney Parks 100 day Christian devotional on Amazon! It looks amazing so far!

    If you enjoy Rumer Godden, you should try "Tottie: The story of a Doll's house" beautifully described and a wonderful children's book with many a good lesson for adults! I personally love her work. Hope you enjoy Greengage Summer. X

    I keep seeing new little mini Disney houses in the background of your videos. You should show them all in a video! Ever since the video where you got Lilo’s house I knew I had to get Rapunzel’s tower.

      After I got Lilo's house I knew I'd have to collect the rest, they're SO cute and detailed. 😍 I will try to show them up close in a future video!

    I love that you can knit and watch videos! I've been trying to crochet little Amigurumi Zootopia dolls for my sister, and I have to concentrate to try to get it right. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

      Luckily the trees are a straightforward pattern, but there are definitely some knitting projects I have to give my full attention to! Merry Christmas to you and yours too! 😊

      Absolutely. I second that. It was made by the great French director Jean Renoir, son of painter Pierre-August Renoir.

    Thank you for this video, it is such a treat! There are so many books mentioned I haven't read yet and will add to my 2020 list. Your knitted trees remind me of hats I made for Mel when he was a tiny little new person. Gnome hats! I will need to start making those again.

    • @BookishPrincess
      @BookishPrincess  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never attempted knitting a hat before, but I feel like it wouldn't be too bad now - the trees are such an easy pattern, it's been so much fun to do!

    I remember you saying that you were going to boycott star wars episode 9 but would you ever consider reviewing it for your viewers? Thanks for the reading vids love them.

    • @BookishPrincess
      @BookishPrincess  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! I still have no intention of seeing episode 9, but I've actually been thinking of doing a video just talking about the state of Star Wars - it would kinda be a downer 😆, but it would be interesting to talk about everything. I don't think I could have imagined a situation a few years ago where Disney/Lucasfilm could have so totally destroyed my faith and interest in their new Star Wars projects the way they have. It's really sad, I'm not even really that excited about Galaxy's Edge because it focuses so exclusively on the new trilogy, and from my point of view, the new trilogy has been a disastrous mess. 😔

    I always enjoy your reading vlogs, Emma! I'm so glad you enjoyed Rumer Godden.
    I also love Jordan Peterson - he's so wise.

      I think he's just brilliant! I've really only listened to his podcasts/videos, but I want to sit down with his book at some point too.

    I have a title suggestion for you: The Pink House, by Nelia Gardner White. Her style is fabulous, and you really feel part of a poignant story. Perhaps you've already read it. Merry Christmas!🎄😄

    Hi, Emma! I'm going through your vlogs because I love your book choices and hearing your thoughts about them in medias res. I just noticed that you mentioned Jordan Peterson several times, recently. Have you seen the documentary The Rise of Jordan Peterson? I loved it- fascinating stuff! I have seen several interviews of him, but I need to check out his lectures.
    P.s. I'm an Atlas Shrugged fan, too 😊 Very thought-provoking.
    Take care!

    you always need more books...and some more should be Wodehouse....dont let ayn rand into your world too much...her perspective is not one to believe in...

    • @BookishPrincess
      @BookishPrincess  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      J F If I get some new bookshelves (which I’ve been thinking of!) I think I’ll have to reserve one shelf for all Wodehouse! 😊 There are definitely parts of Ayn Rand’s books and philosophy that I don’t care for or agree with, but I’ve found she also has some valuable insights!
