Picture of Dorian Gray is one of my all time favorites. Will definitely check out Mark Twain’s take on Joan of Arc - it has to be a wild ride. Hope everyone has a lovely New Year!
Hello BookishPrincess, I discovered your channel a few months ago, and let me tell you, its been a fun ride! Your energy and passion for books is beautiful to behold. As a young catholic woman myself, it makes me happy to see other booktubers speak about Advent and Lent etc... Thanks for your wonderful content. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!💖
Thank you for sharing your favorite reads of the year each December! The Sherwood Ring was one of my favorite new books this year! It’s so much fun to see all the books you’ve read over 2023. Happy New Year and Happy Reading!
Hello 👋🤗❤ that September dress ! 🫠 ♥️ 🖤 🗓️ Same for me on the Little House 🏡 series but then only The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe , I think I remember crying 😭 at the end ?? Gotta reread to see why 😮 Cymbeline 😺🐈 🧶, you should be soooo proud of THAT accomplishment! And who knew just a little over a year ago you would be doing this because of an unintentional visitor 🐈 🪵. Such a a joy 😊 🤎 🤍 🖤
I read The Pillars of the House for Victober this year, too, and like you it would be in the running for the top book of the year for me, and for sure in my top five books of the year! What an incredible read, and while it was my first Charlotte Mary Yonge, it will certainly not be my last!!
I really enjoyed A Child's Garden of Verses by RLS. Others that stands out are The Girl with the Louding Voice, and books by James Herriot and John Steinbeck. I also read several graphic memoirs and middle grade that were great.
Loved hearing about your reads this past year., Emma. I have been working my way through George MacDonald’s corpus of fiction this year in order of publication date, as per The Cullen Collection, alongside the biography - A Writer’s Life. The Scot’s dialect books I’ve read in the David Jack side-by-side translations. I’m currently reading #26, Weighed and Wanting. It’s been a transformative experience. Truly.
9 years in a row is quite a streak 😍 I am definitely picking up Tree and Leaf. Thank you, as always, for highlighting your favorites of the year! One of my favorites of 2023 was The Vicar of Wakefield. I'm so looking forward to discovering a new favorite this Febregency 🥳🥳 And to your book club picks! I've already started The Scarlet Pimpernel!
Oh my gosh~ I forgot about The Littles!! I loooooved that!!! I think I did read the Borrowers~ I need to reread it. Sense & Sensibility will forever & always be my favorite of Jane's books... I am going back through Stephanie Barron's Jane mysteries. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
Thanks so much for this video, Emma. It was enjoyable and interesting. I read Christy for the first time this year and while it had it's weaknesses, I have to admit I've never read anything else like it. Very unique. It brought out all the human emotions as the author tried to answer some very deep religious questions.
Hello Princess! I’m new to your world. You’re very delightful and interesting. I love cats as well, I would love to know where the Calendar you have is from? ❤
I love how you incorporate your faith in your reading.

❤📚 The Borrowers was the book that turned me into the book fanatic I am today. 😊
Merry late Christmas great favorites🎄🎁
You should watch the 1938 version of A Christmas Carol. They followed the book and that part is in there about ignorance and want.
I am sure you've shared a link for that calendar before, but I would love to find one! Have a Blessed Christmas Season!
The calendar girl is from an Etsy shop called BritSketch!
Best wishes with your reading in 2024.

It might get a bit challenging. 😂
You should own a library.
