I live in Derbyshire and it only takes about 30 mins car ride to get to Chatsworth House from my home. It's said to be what inspired Pemberley and I've always been very proud of the connection. I also have been and had afternoon tea at the hotel where Jane stayed in Bakewell when she visited Derbyshire. Love, love, love this video xx
Chatsworth was my favorite Austen-related location, bar none. The gardens are stunning. The banana and Georgiana Cavendish connections made it extra-interesting.
I'm *so* glad you decided to make this _unplanned_ video because it was delightful! I literally just watched the Persuasion adaptation you talked about and Googled "Lime" after it was over, haha. Your photos are stunning! Thank you so much for sharing. ❤️
I loved Chawton, Lacock village and abbey, stourhead is just stunning , Wilton house (interior of 2005 p£&p), Basildon park (netherfield 2005 p&p and p&p with zombies. Luckington church where Elizabeth and Jane marry Etc 1995p&p was a delightful find and had hubby climbing the wall to take photo of luckington court aka longbourn privately owned house. I was only tourist in this little village with my hubby. We stayed in Wiltshire Shia year for our holiday and it was lonely. Had a summer evening event at jane Austen house museum and got video of the piano forte being played- and to go up in the attics. It was simply a magical evening x
What a delightful video! My dad and I took a trip to England four years ago, and we saw both Chatsworth House and Lyme Park, two Pemberley locations in the 2005 and 1995 films. It was so fun! We also went to Lyme Regis on that trip. I was in Bath twice when I studied abroad in England. We had a wonderful guide for a Jane Austen walking tour and ate Darcy's Millionaire shortbread at the Jane Austen Centre. Good memories! I don't know much about Brighton, Weymouth, or Portsmouth except from the mentions in Jane's novels, so your tidbits about them were fun to hear. :)
I couldn't agree more with your "quote" at the beginning. I've been lucky enough to visit several of these places. Though I will say I was disappointed with the Austen museum in Bath. Of course that was almost 10 years ago now, so perhaps it has improved.
Chatsworth House is on my bucket list for sure. ❤

I’m so glad you made this video! Now I need to take a trip!

Wanted to tell you that I’m reading and enjoying Mansfield Park!
Charming and informative video of the locations of Jane Austen's sights
These places are added to my “ Must See in England” list 🇬🇧📚💜
(Melanie here) Beautiful video. I went to many of these places last year on an England Literary tour.
I *love* this video. I want to treat myself to a cool trip when I graduate from grad school and...I might just retrace your steps.....

I was afraid to read classics but I tried Persuasion and so far I am appeased.
Really enjoyed this video. I guess I will have to go back to England.

Another great vlog g and subject matter!
I watch the movies after I finish the novel and I watched that version of Persuasion :)
Bath Persuasion Nottingham abbey
Portsmouth
So that’s how you pronounce Bath 😊
