Those made for amazing days especially when you played with THE BOYZ! Halo 2-3 and Reach had awesome stories, multiplayer and forge for the latter two and gear's stories were all bangers in the first 3 games so there was still a lot of variety despite being shooters. good to know this hasn’t died, game was obviously ahead of its time back in the day so I’m happy to see that it’s “getting the recognition it deserves” to say the least
This game was awesome. I remember spending a while trying to grind the 100 katana kills for the achievement where the enemy has to bleed out or something like that. I spent so many hours playing this back in the day. It was my first multiplayer-only game that I ever bought, which was weird at the time because you also needed Xbox Live to play it. I don't think there has been a game like this since with the teleport ability, tree of life, glider etc. It was so unique and still is till this day. Edit: I recently went back to AOE2, such a classic game. One of the best RTS and still holds up to this day.

I played the crap out of the demo before buying the full game. Some "fun" facts: The developer, FASA, had a good relationship with Bungie. Bungie let FASA use the Halo CE engine to prototype Shadowrun; there are some screenshots of this prototype floating around. When the Halo 3 Beta ended in June 2007, a message was displayed telling players to check out Shadowrun as it was released days prior. After FASA went under, some employees joined Bungie, and you can see some of their Shadowrun-like influence in Halo Reach. Also, RoosterTeeth used the game to make a short machinima series called 1-800-MAGIC.

Shadowrun's multiplayer was so fun! Best teleportion ability in any game I've seen to date, gliding felt great, and the necromancy-like spell where you revive another player, and their life is now tied to your survival is awesome. The caster of the spell dies? Well, the revived player is doomed to quickly wither away.
I remember playing this as a kid and wondering "why is no one playing this?" and it's always insanely heartbreaking to hear that it was just overlooked because of fucking Call of Duty. Halo, I understand, but damn. This should have been revived today. Out of all the revivals that deserve a second chance, it's definitely this game that needs to be remastered. That'll absolutely kick off the next console generation if they do that.
There’s multiple reasons that made the game look unplayed. The devs even talked about some in their AMA last August with the community, one that wasn’t talked about is that individual users game preferences can ‘lock’ lobbies to only 8 players if they didn’t deselect it plus being P2P, if two or more people can’t connect to each other, there could be an 8 person lobby and 3-9+ people searching for lobbies and not able to connect to each other or the existing lobby
