13.5 second 1/4 mile from the factory. sweet! Ride height really doesn't look that low. I live in the same area as you and i think my bugeye is same height (or lower) even after i reverted back to factory/KYB struts (6" under the sills).
That fast? I had no idea haha. Oh awesome dude! Say hi if you see me. In the next video I measure the before and after on ride height haha. It was pretty low before.
@@dminoms 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds and a 13.8 second 1/4 mile was in a Car and Driver review for a 2003 Forester 2.5 XT. Seems like i also saw 13.5 somewhere. I was using Koni Sport inserts in factory strut housings and a Ground Control kit that allowed me to raise the car in winter and lower it for nice weather. Great for the track but i got tired of getting beat up every time i drove the car so back to stock.
The oil pan looks dented. maybe update it and the pickup, windage tray, and skid plate. King Springs and some Forester KYB off Rock auto, Whiteline steering rack bushes
Does that have an ej257 in it, I’ve been considering buying a second gen forester with a blown engine and throwing a 257 in it as a fun but still cheap project car so I’m definitely interested in how much more you’ll be spending on just worn out parts.
@whimsical6 there are typically more vibrations at idle. I’d drive it around for a bit then park up when you start to hear the rattling and look around your engine bay and listen for it.
Great video! Excited to see where Emerald goes! ✌️
Thank you! Stick around, the next part is coming soon…
loved your wrx videos and can't wait to see more about the forester
Thank you! There’s plenty of work to be done on both! And I have some plans for the WRX coming up soon…

I really appreciate that!! I definitely value the quality of my videos!
Interesting.. haha
Love the shot composition and dialogue between you two as you inspected the car. Excited for this build!
Thank you! Trying something different for sure. And I decided to not color it because I was so ready to put it out XD
dang bro this is really well done. excited to see the progress on the build!
Thanks man! I appreciate you!

not me wanting to buy a 05 XT for a daily now XD
It’s such a good daily! And it’ll just keep getting better!

Good catch on the oil pan. I’ll have to add those to the list! And for sure with Whiteline

Oh there will be a lot of old worn out parts haha. And no, it’s just the stock motor, the EJ255.
@@dminoms the sti intercooler from a 207 or 257 threw me off lol
I don’t blame you haha. It’s just kinda strapped in there and rattling around.
i have the same car but 2007, do you have a rattle coming from near the front left? cant find it its not exhaust heat shield
I actually do by it’s my radiator vibrating against one of the AC lines. I’m not sure what yours could be.
@@dminoms its only when im idle or moving slow

Try and check the up pipe heat shield.
@@Owensti it might be from interior could it be the vincolate rattle
