    I’m glad that you put this out. I hope BRP is paying attention as the industry is already projecting downward sales in 2025. This is the time to show that they take care of their customers and stand behind their cars.

    Sucks yall are going through that. I’ve got 950 miles on my Mav R, 650 of which have been tuned. No issues yet other than losing the gas cap cover and radiator cover. Broke 1 rear axle but I can’t blame can am for that, I’m running a very aggressive paddle and Olds whoops are gnarly this year.

    I just paid $10k to have my Mav R transmission replaced after total failure because warranty wouldn't cover it. It was at the dealer for 4 months, it took BRP 3 months to send a new transmission off the assembly line to my dealer after repeatedly calling and bugging them. After hearing your BRP issues and wait times I guess my situation wasn't as bad, but I believe there are issues with the transmissions with manufactuer dates Oct,Nov,Dec 2023 because I have seen numerous other owners with total transmission failures built in during those months. Good luck to your guys.

      Eh wouldn’t say Polaris is immune to this issue… I’m currently dealing with my 2025 Polaris Pro R 4 Ultimate (which has 11.5 miles on it) sitting in service for the last 3 weeks… fault code C1097 vehicle steering alignment out of range… dealer tried realigning it and resetting sensors… hooked it up to the laptop to run diagnostics… received admin access from Polaris for ride command… that whole process took weeks… case was put in “researching status for 48 hours” twice… last week Polaris approved to replace the EPS… didn’t fix the issue dealer was at a loss at this point… Polaris came back saying we think we have a fix but the part isn’t in the system yet to order so we have to make a part number so that the dealer can order the part. Yesterday I received word that they got the part number and it’s been ordered but the part would be back ordered until February… the part is also the Suspension control module… today I got confirmation that my rig has been on a vehicle down status so the approved to send out the part but no eta since the ticket was only created today… so far I feel like a guinea pig for something they are just throwing parts at to try and fix…

The faults were transmission fluid pressure out of range and transmission pump failure.. This industry is TERRIBLE about QC and warranty. My neighbor had a 22 Pro R that chucked a rod at just under 500 miles. Dealer tried to get Polaris to warranty an obvious defect and they gave him the middle finger, saying he over-revved it. He ended up selling it to the dealer and getting hosed on the deal, he bought a krx and hasnt been happier. Sucks to hear about your problems with the Mav R, hopefully it gets resolved for you! I am really sorry to hear your issues with BRP. They have always been great to deal with for me when the dealer was trying to hose me. I had a 2014 that spun the primary right off the crank leaving the threaded end in the crank. Dealer (Ride Now in Gilbert AZ) tried to tell me BRP was not going to warranty it since it was 3 years old and that it would cost me $3500 to remove the engine and fix the clutch. I asked them to ask BRP again and they said they did and the answer was no. I called BRP and they told me they had told the dealer they would fix it and pay them to do so. The dealer was trying to double dip me! Needless to say, I went back to the dealer and made them fix it and BRP would cover it as promised. Got a sheepish look from the dealer but they did fix it. Dealers can suck. I hope BRP sees your video and gets on the ball for you.

    Thank you for posting this video. My buddy sent me the link tonight. We were talking about purchasing the Mav R in a few weeks and he texted saying he's staying away from Can Am after watching this video. After hearing about the lack of parts, dealership tech training, A arms breaking and not helping get credit or new ones after putting them on the so called Gen2, finish gaps (heard this in another can am review too) and Can Am customer service has totally convinced me in spite of the Mav R out performing all others, it's just not worth the head ache of dealing with Can Am. Even if they got the Mav R parts and other issues fixed. I just don't trust them. I also wanted to avoid Polaris because of how they treated Robbie Gordon, but appears they have the best overall rating for performance, reliability, and CS. We're headed to the dealer on Friday to talk to sales. I'm getting out of racing motorcycles due to arthritis that can't be resolved. So settling for 4 wheels. THe motorcycle brands don't have these issues. Easy to fix and hard to break them unless it's not maintaining them.

    I wanted to go with the more easily fixable belt car, so I opted for a 23 X3 instead of the Mav R and now all of us p-drive clutch owners are having issues with the secondary spinning due to the primary not fully releasing at idle and possible alignment issues. BRP dealerships got a bulletin to replace the arm weights and spring cup in 2022 but this never fixed anything and all the new cars have the same issue. IBEXX claims the primary spring is binding and can be fixed with their $28 spring just requiring us to split the primary. Great for a 30-40k brand new car.

    As much as BRP is dropping the ball on your Mav r, your dealership is the first line of defense! I work at a powersport dealership and when we encountered part delays that were months and months away, we got the manufacturer to pull production parts off the assembly line for the customer vehicle and ship them to us to avoid unruly customers. Your dealership needs to submit a case to BRP and get this resolved! They are the only ones who have the power to come up with a resolution

    Good details guys. I did the EVP stage 1 tune and DCT tune. I don't like the DCT tune. mode 1 is too lazy and sport mode "2" is too aggressive, downshifts too fast, holds the rpm too long etc. I did 900 miles in baja last week with it. Not happy . Also had the tranny locked in Auto mode. Found a vid on how to unlock that and will do that shortly. Hopefully that works. I bought this rig in sept of last year and it was in the shop for 4 months with an engine than tranny leak. That got fixed. So friend of mine here in Havasu has had the same issue with BRP... 2 years now, his seadoo has been sitting at Anderson Powersports for a massive paint issue... He's done the same as you woth moving up the chain of command... they offered to have a local shop wrap it for him and call it good lol. Hes been going back and forth for 2 years now and they said they will give him a $5000 credit towards a new gtx 300 lmtd. His ski has 13hrs on it lol. They have had it basically the whole time he has owned it.

      @desertsxs Have you ever thought about taking it to a shop in PHX or CA? There's gott be some good warranty shops down there? Maybe Coyne? I bet there's some good info or suggests on Nick Farmers Desert Whips page... Too bad Guiboa doesn't do factory warranty work.

    The big issue with your issues comes from brp. As a Canadian you would understand it's all about Quebec thinking and how they do things. We are 2 systems in Canada and the French way and the rest of us. They do make a great product in many ways but also one stuck within the Quebec system. Brp makes planes and trains too and they all suffer from the same issues.

    • @desertsxs

      That’s interesting. They just don’t really seem to care I feel

    • @kevinstrekkie
      @kevinstrekkie 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @desertsxs I feel you on that for sure. It does come down to dealer in the end. If the dealer is willing to go to bat for you things happen. My front drive shaft sheered off at the divider. And the right dealer got it covered even after warranty expired and I only got the 6 month default warranty. Brp doesn't listen to its consumers but they will listen to the dealers way more! They just view consumers like cattle. Bring em in to feed.

    I know the feeling. Can-Am has major issues with their units. I had a brand new 2023 Commander and had nothing but problems with it. Can-Am wouldn't fix any of the problems and told me, "That's just the way it is." I only had it for two months!! Can-Am's are overpriced pieces of junk!!!
