      BTW - the people that make policy over in N Korea, and the class of people that make up the govt, military, and its ancillary ecosystem don't eat bark. The poor do, and we all know they don't actually care about the greater population.

    • @Donthaveacowbra
      @Donthaveacowbra 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That isn't overly intelligible... The answer is they only barely managed to make missiles capable of reaching mainland usa. They have access to computers millions of times more powerful than engineers and scientists in the 60s and only barely made what they made then with regards to rockets. The nuclear aspect, again, they're not even at the 1960s level as we aren't entirely sure if they have been able to produce thermonuclear devices but we are sure they're attempting to. Without that their devices are significantly lower and yield and higher in fallout. Again, something Russia and the USA managed in 1955 with slide rules.
      The sheer reality is essentially every developed nation could probably make an icbm and nuclear weapon if they had a nuclear reactor. Fewer could build a thermonuclear bomb, though probably still more than you'd think. North Korea is indeed a backwater and shouldn't be. They're at the whims of a military regime that will stay in power due to their nuclear weapons. Opening up their economy would spell death to the Kim's which is why they're more restrictive than ever before

    Our planet isn't some whimsical, harmonious utopia where everyone gathers around a campfire, holding hands, singing kumbaya, and living in blissful unity. No, it's a brutal, cutthroat battleground where only the fittest and most cunning survive. Believing in some utopian fantasy of everlasting peace is not just naive, it's catastrophic.
    North Koreans understand that in a world teeming with countless nations, each vying for supremacy, there is no room for complacency or misguided idealism. It’s a world dominated by the principle of "conquer or be conquered". There is no cozy middle ground where diplomacy alone can guarantee security and prosperity. If you're not prepared to rise to the occasion, to assert your dominance, and to defend what is yours, you'll find yourself quickly overrun by those who are less naive and far more ruthless.
    This is the unforgiving reality of our planet, a reality we must confront head-on without any sugar-coated illusions. They understand that power and strength are the only currencies that truly matter. In this vast expanse, those who cling to whimsical notions of universal peace and brotherhood are doomed to be trampled by the relentless march of those who know better. So, let's dispense with the fantasies and face the stark truth: survival demands strength, strategy, and an unwavering will to prevail.
