The new OG DI system prototype looks great! I've been exploring various solutions to reduce pressure washer noise in my setup. A suggestion: before the metal cabinet is sealed, at a slight additional cost, you could reduce vibrations through the metal. I've used 80 mil Car Sound Deadening Mat around vents and metal for my projects, and it has significantly reduced vibrations. If there's a lot of dead space inside around the DI tanks and behind the flat metal back piece where the pressure washers and hose reel are mounted, filling it with sound-deadening material could help minimize noise and vibration transfer through the metal unit.
This setup looks amazing! It looks so good, I think you should also offer it without the DI system. Then you have a useful cabinet. Maybe you can enclose the pressure washers in upper cabinets. It'll need ventilation for the heat, but that would look very minimalist. Like when you install the controls for the lifts in a cabinet.
id like to see the resin cartridges/fill. as for the noise on a tin cabinet, some dynamat or similar stuck on the back side of the cabinet would do a lot towards the resonance.
Now you have an attention grabber. (Spot free rinsing). Used this water offer at one *do-it-yourself, car wash.* Such a time saver. Kept car; (what I call; waxed / extra slick paint. Rinse and then air dry by driving on a paved street. (Cool evening / no sunlight, *preferred;* in-order to dry vehicle).
I NEED THAT Mosmatic QD multi accessory holder wall mount. Make the QDs interchangeable by using the QD couplers and plugs with a threaded end so we can make it both couplers, or both plugs, or one and one, or for the perfectionists they want a specific accessory on the left and another on the right. So let us be able to unscrew them and rearrange them. I need that asap though 🙏 just placed another order today for some QDs and a hose.
One of these things is true....either Matt's man door is 8 feet tall or the angle of the camera makes Mike look like a dwarf! 🤣 Great video as always, guys.....just kidding, Steve!
Love the setup but could you have your outlet hoses get plumbed into the back of the unit where the inlet braided hoses come in? If your going to use Kranzle's all your holes will be uniform. You could then do all of your connections to the valve behind the unit. A much cleaner look in my opinion. I know this is a prototype so maybe it could be considered.
One of the issues with a dual bed (cation/anion) system is that you can get a fishy smell from it. I have a "Water On the Go" DI system. It's on the fishy side but still love it. Water on the Go makes the DI systems for Adams Polishes.
I would like to see a bucket filler added to the side of the shelf too. A true all in one set up. Perhaps even a small sink for us one pressure washer guys. Sink could be helpful.
Imagine having a garage like this, fully equipped, dialing in each and every component, turning it into a business along the way and getting paid for doing it. Matt is living the dream
That valve holding the hose real would of looked nice with the same bracket holding the valves, that way youre not drilling holes directly into the unit, kinda future proof.
Love the setup! Don’t forget to consider the smell if you go anion and cation way. I just got the OnTheGo Dual Bed Double set up. The smell is manageable for the price and cost per gallon but there is a definite smell. It’s not a lasting smell but it’s a thing.
I just mentioned the same issue. I have the water on the go dual bed system as well. The smell is noticeable, but I use a wheel cleaner with iron remover in it. Smells on smells on smells. 😂
@s2kologist I don't think it's crazy, but if the door's open, you'll probably smell it inside. I only wash in the driveway since I don't have a floor drain. The smell goes away pretty fast, but I'm not sure if that's because it disperses in the air or if it only smells in a liquid form. In a closed garage it may get fairly stinky. I think you get about 50% longer life with dual bed resin. My TDS is 485, so I need the extra capacity. If I lived in southern CA, i would just rent a commercial setup.
Only thing missing is an option for a quick connect to run 3/8” hose from the DI to run a water fed pole window cleaning system! Add a 2nd hose reel for 300-400 feet of 3/8” hose so you can reach all of the windows and doors around your house.
I know you will be testing different resins and how effective they are. I have a small detailing shop with a CR Spotless Simple Chuck and I’m spending over $600 per year just on resin for deionized rinsing. There is a big market for an efficient deionized system that can be sized for an enthusiast or a commercial shop. CR Spotless needs some competition.
Knew those Collete shirts would go on sale eventually...not sure how much overlap there is between hotboi drift bros and people with money who want high quality stuff.
AFCI offer more outlet protection beyond GFCI adding arc fault detection interruption to prevent fires and save failing connections from damaging equipment in addition to ground fault for safety, seems like an obsessed type of advance. Ray Stormont
This set-up makes it much easier to move the whole system 🤔 Maybe it could include water softerers too and a cabinet to hide the whole thing when not used.
Matt, TDS of 250 seems pretty high. You might want to considered testing in other markets. For example, TDS coming out of my faucet on city water is about 45.
The reef aquarium community are maniacs about pure water (I’m one of them). A 3-stage DI is the best. Cation>Anion>mixed bed. It’s also the most efficient in terms of fully using your expensive DI resin.
Color of the cabinet doesn't go with the rest of the stuff in the garage. It looks like it does not belong there. I hope you'll release a version that has similar setup as CR. Something lot smaller and mobile.
You guys really hit a home run with this prototype. This is clean looking, easy to install, and portable if you move.

Now this is something I would buy to upgrade my current setup, no messing with drywall, seems just plug and play.

We will be providing bare cabinet too.
Please make this available soon! I’m so in. Also more Mike & Steve please
Love the cleaner look of the dual mount setup.
It's awesome seeing OG keep pushing forward with new ideas.
OG is now the Mike and Mike show, and I'm here for it! Entertaining and informative, great setup here.
Hey...don't forget about me. Ha, ha...
@@ObsessedGarage we can't forget about Uncle Matty! You're still here to bring it on home!
Obsessed garage content is 100% OG, I like the originality of the content. Great work OG 👍
I didn't think the previous setup could get any better., but man, that's beautiful.
Trevor is lucky to have a father like Mike!
Thank you for that

I want this right now!
Glad to see that nice man Steve was able to retain employment with OG. He seems to know these builds well.
Why wouldn't he? Steve seems to be the only one working there! ;)

Being completely honest, this is so much cleaner looking than the prevost systems.
Matt, Could you make an option with a power strip on the side? So that 1 outlet could be used for the whole setup?
Yup, this is it.
As always OG taking things up to a whole new level. Looking forward to all the upcoming mods.

You are correct, we have plans for plumbing in the space behind, much more to come.
Steve has to be the best supporting actor on the net!!!🥇
Thx Matt 🎉 very clean looks super simple
Tape and dope atta boy Mike..the only way
you should have a wand holder mount on the side, so you have a truly "all in one" solution.
The cabinet has provisions for mounting the wand holder on the left or right side.

Nice. I'm ready to buy The Wall of Business.
IMHO the cabinet would have looked awesome in white

Amazing setup guys!! 👍🏻👍🏻
@11:35 looks like the mounting screws should go a centimeter or so higher for ease of installation. Looks like a fantastic product!
OMG that is f’n SICK!!! I can’t wait!!! Will you be able to mount the wand holder on the side?
Yes, there are threaded inserts for doing so.

Hell ya!!!!!
Unless I missed it in the video, are you planning on doing a single pressure washer version??
Yes, we will be doing that.
I must have missed the video where someone explained the need for two pressure washers? Can someone explain the logic of that?

Poor guy Mike. Standards state no extension chords even on prototypes. LOL😂
Also.. might could cover the back of it with some kind of Dynamat situation..
will there be a variant that utilizes a RO membrane filter to improve efficiency?
Yes, we need to test it first.
So sick!!
Note for editor: Some strange compression/noise cancellation on Matt’s mic in the beginning that I don’t remember hearing in past OG vids.
Yep, the mic was acting up. The Sennheiser AVX we use are hit or miss.
@@ObsessedGarage ah gotcha, no sweat :) loving the videos recently, keep up the great work!

No, we made it ourselves.

Matt, can I have your old cox hose reel? For testing purposes of course😉
If you need some advice on water treatment, reach out. I have 24 yrs experience in this game.
So the setup here is pretty much a “double” setup since Matt has 2 pressure washers? The normal version will just be one of these?
Yep

I hope Mike F. gets back soon because I’m not too sure about this Steve guy. He seems a bit suspicious.
🤤
I’d be interested in watching an episode where the project goes so badly that Mike starts yelling and throwing screw guns and stuff. :)
👍
Haven’t seen Matt’s family in a while, did he get divorced?
Ha, ha... No, all good.
When I become a multimillionaire, I’m totally going to buy one of these OG systems. Until then, not so much.
