The twin towers set in the White House could also be areference to when Rick says "I turned myself into a pickle and 9/11 was an inside job" in the picjle rick episode.
Futurama did an episode with the tiny civilisation's nuking each other as well, the one where Bender is launched into space and two colonies evolve on his chest and ass.
Even though this episode didn't have a huge event like the last one did, I thought it was still very awesome....It was good ol' rick and morty adventure that I've been craving this whole season. Also lol tupac's body in the floor
The Furlow I agree mostly, but I think this episode failed as a season finale because it wasn't meant to be one. The creators hoped for 14 episodes, didn't get them, so shoe horned the whole Beth subplot to make the episode seem final like.
@newrockstars The Rick fight between the President included TONS of references to Dungeons and Dragons. Many familiar with the game have heard the term “God Wizard” to refer to a Wizard who, with their spell selection, can handle any event, threat or circumstance that comes up. This sums up Rick to a tee, so it was hilarious to see spells like Mirror Image, Otiluke’s Resilient Sphere, Touch of Death and many others be directly referred to (except obviously in a science/sci-fi domain instead of magic).
I thought the bar that rick and the president were fighting in, looked like the bar from The Shining and I thought the children represented the twins from the shining.
It would kind of be I guess, but it's a hard easter egg to pinpoint as we have at least more than 8 seasons left.. And Phoenix person also has a bit too much influence over Rick's emotions for the creators not to use him I guess.
The "Robotic Suit with Machine Gun" referred to at 5:56 is a nod to Boston Dynamics robots created with DARPA funding for the Department of Defense. After being kicked/abused repeatedly in the lab only to have the President ride on one is hilarious.
I love how i could catch and remember so many references to Dr Who, some may be coincidence, but since most of those references were said just after he says that he is the dr who of this universe i conected those references to dr who.
Something overlooked in this episode. The minigun-armed walker robot the President rides is directly based on real-world technology, although the riding element is purely fantasy of course. The President's battle-ready throne vehicle referenced at 5:54 is directly based on DARPA's BigDog robot designed for cargo-carry and, well, honestly anything that comes to the imagination when it has to do with a quadrupedal robot that can correct itself when kicked over. BigDog is iconic at this point when it comes to American military exceptionalism, to the point that I'm a little surprised this wasn't picked up on.
I wanted Doofus Rick to reappear, “adopt” Jerry, get killed by Jerry when he discovers just how bizarre and twisted he is, have a bunch of different Ricks praise him but not give him any sort of promotion because he’s a Jerry.
The fact that Rick said "I'm Doctor Who" could be a literal reference to the episode "The Impossible Astronaut", in which The Doctor is in the oval office surrounded by security.
What could he do about it? He was about to kill Jerry, but that would destroy the entire family, which kind of defeats the purpose. Rick realized he could no longer force the family to be without Jerry while still being around for Rick to have. That's what they mean when they say Rick "lost."
Either what Jack said above me, or that Beth actually is a clone and Dan/Justin are just messing with our brains as usual and plan on the real Beth coming back and pushing Jerry back out.
I'm actually pretty sure that the device Morty was using was from the episode where Morty accidentally teleported them onto another planet and Rick sent Morty to get the criticals
The ending left me with a bad taste in my mouth, at first glance it seems like ricks actually lost, beth is real so rick concedes defeat to Jerry and the family and makes up with the president so he doesn't have to skip universe, then.... Beth's final line is "well rick wouldnt tell me if I was a clone or not...." everyone sees that as a joke and ricks just stood there silent almost like he actually accomplished his goal but he's unable to relish and gloat in his genius
1. The Ricklantis Mixup 2. The Rickshank Rickdemption 3. Morty's Mind Blowers 4. The Rickchurian Mortydate 5. The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy 6. Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender 7. Rickmancing the Stone 8. Rest and Ricklaxation 9. The ABC's of Beth 10.Pickle Rick
Imaging everything is not real and looking for a constant could also be a reference to a famous Stanislaw Lem's book 'Solaris, where the main character was struggling with the similar problem. And it's also 1960-something.
there's also a possible reference to Naruto twice in this episode: first the big chinese sign that translates to weak, a lot of naruto's charachters have the same type of signs ( 11:32 ) and they always are something that is important for the charachter or that defines him. Then at 6:03 scene (we dont see it in the vid) ricks uses one of naruto's favorite "jutsu"/technique the multi-cloning shadow jutsu to dodges obama's bullets. but once again we may overanalize haha
They should've had a clone of Jerry break in and tell Beth he loves her; a clone that the original rick from that timeline made without this Rick knowing
The Doctor from Doctor Who is thought of in the series in different ways by different people. some worlds think he is a God, others think he is a Demon, some think he is indestructible. He is known as the Destroyer of planets and The Upcoming Storm. He topples empires and Armies with out being armed. "I'm Doctor Who.." makes much more sense now huh?
Need some insight into Fishing Rick "replacing" C-137 Rick. Very interesting that Rick leaves his universe, is replaced, and carefree Fishing Rick is miserable within a few interactions of this universe. Commentary on how "the grass is always greener" might be backwards?
Any one else thought when rick made holographic clones and did cart wheels around the president. remind them of hunter x hunter when Gon did cart wheel around the Hunter chairmen very fast.
Best parts of this episode is when rick says to not touch him or they die and one touched him and the president said “What was that?” Rick”Death” President”What kind?” Rick”Instant.”
We don't need any more cameos. We got to see the twerkasaurus-Rex dancing in the back of the hookah lounge. We just need to see more twerkasaurus-rex in future episodes. Maybe as a girl friend to one of the Ball Fondlers.
I was kind of thinking that those two might attack him but then team up. I know that sounds kind of cliche but it would make for a longer string of plot Maybe and it would be pretty awesome to watch

But do they increase dynamic movement by 3%?
In what can we use them in
th-cam.com/video/iK7lICvUhCI/w-d-xo.html
proof Beth is not a clone
Anyone notice that rick hasn't been drunk the past few episodes? Or did I miss something?
"I don't work for free" 😂 so meta
It's funny how people casually say Mr. Pooppybutthole like it is just a regular name
Justin Norman iDo that and never noticed.... 😓
Justin Norman It is a regular name.
Not everybody's name can be Justin, Justin. :-P
Why what's the problem with Mr.poopybutthole it's completely normal. It's the 2nd most used name
Justin Norman Just wondering, what is Mr Poopybutthole's first name? Maybe...irritated, lol or John. :-)
Missed detail: Beth breaking the fourth wall like how Rick does is a hint that she is becoming more like Rick.
Silver Comics true dat
The whole family did it In a episode
The twin towers set in the White House could also be areference to when Rick says "I turned myself into a pickle and 9/11 was an inside job" in the picjle rick episode.
Nicola Aimee
That’s a really good thought
Also “Pickle”
Futurama did an episode with the tiny civilisation's nuking each other as well, the one where Bender is launched into space and two colonies evolve on his chest and ass.
Missed when Rick says "Guys, we get it. It's code red. Enough," he's actually talking to the invisi-troopers.
Even though this episode didn't have a huge event like the last one did, I thought it was still very awesome....It was good ol' rick and morty adventure that I've been craving this whole season. Also lol tupac's body in the floor
Me too m8, I loved it
The Furlow I agree mostly, but I think this episode failed as a season finale because it wasn't meant to be one. The creators hoped for 14 episodes, didn't get them, so shoe horned the whole Beth subplot to make the episode seem final like.
Sans Handlebars Really? This wasn't supposed to be the finale?
The Furlow yeah it was a good adventure just not a finale adventure, they should have switch episodes 7 and 10
Malachi Berthune yeah u rite
In the after credits scene Mr.Poopybutthole he said he'll have a santa beard could that possibly mean it's coming back at Christmas
Charge Yomomma lol next Christmas rip
but who knows how quickly MPB's species grows and can have children
we wish
I predict season 4 will end in December of 2019 with a Mr. Poopybutthole Christmas gag.
Aaron Of Doom It’s in November so you can still totally be right
@newrockstars The Rick fight between the President included TONS of references to Dungeons and Dragons. Detail #14: The robot is definitely influenced by the Boston Dynamics robot that looks like a dog.
Connor Nolan ☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽
Yes! I am surprised this wasn't mentioned.
i thought the same thing
Exactly what I thought when I saw it.
Of course it is and I don't know why, but my hardest laugh watching this episode was when the president showed up sitting on it.
I thought that the twins fighting Rick was sort of a nod to the first spy kids with the kid robots. But that might just be me..
Keith Henry IT WAS NOT! Me too, bruh
If i had seen the movie more proper I wood had known that wut u did not know was the actress
In that paulie shore movie played a mom in it whoa
No I thought that too
It definitely was, from the scene when the 2 robot kids come out and fight like ninjas!
I thought the bar that rick and the president were fighting in, looked like the bar from The Shining and I thought the children represented the twins from the shining.
Have too admit that's clever
the kids are robots like the one from the Spy Kids movies.
If Pheonixperson doesn't ever come back, would that be a reference to the fact that Evil Chef never came back in South Park?
Jesus Ramirez omg tell me your being sarcastic to make fun of the dumb shitt this fat hack says
It would kind of be I guess, but it's a hard easter egg to pinpoint as we have at least more than 8 seasons left..
And Phoenix person also has a bit too much influence over Rick's emotions for the creators not to use him I guess.
I mean Evil Morty did come back 2 seasons later so.... Phoenix person might also be a long wait
Or, you know... could just be a coincidence
He's back
The "Robotic Suit with Machine Gun" referred to at 5:56 is a nod to Boston Dynamics robots created with DARPA funding for the Department of Defense. After being kicked/abused repeatedly in the lab only to have the President ride on one is hilarious.
i thought it was mecha-Hitler from doom
I love how i could catch and remember so many references to Dr Who, some may be coincidence, but since most of those references were said just after he says that he is the dr who of this universe i conected those references to dr who.
WAIT! I thought they were refrencing "Grounded Vindaloop," the VR epsiode of south park
Gabe Audet I thought so too
Something overlooked in this episode.
14:13 Never realized how relatable avoiding therapy by turning oneself into a pickle could be until I started going to therapy
Yesss been waiting for this vid to come out
Andrew Fuentes Christmas
I HAVE TOOOOOO
Same
I think the kids are a reference to the clones in Spy Kids, not escape from witch mountain kids.
Sophia Shimamura nope!
Sophia Shimamura agreed
It is
In my opinion, the evil morty episode should be the season finale so it would make a great cliffhanger
Pledge Gamer Agreed
I wanted Doofus Rick to reappear, “adopt” Jerry, get killed by Jerry when he discovers just how bizarre and twisted he is, have a bunch of different Ricks praise him but not give him any sort of promotion because he’s a Jerry.
The fact that Rick said "I'm Doctor Who" could be a literal reference to the episode "The Impossible Astronaut", in which The Doctor is in the oval office surrounded by security.
Not everything is a reference
Yeah there was some that were sraight reaches
Exactly
Everything except the references
That would have made this video 60% shorter
That's what the channel is about broh don't even trip
That moment when Beth and Jerry get back together and Rick does nothing about it
DragonSword225 not yet that is
What could he do about it? He was about to kill Jerry, but that would destroy the entire family, which kind of defeats the purpose. Rick realized he could no longer force the family to be without Jerry while still being around for Rick to have. That's what they mean when they say Rick "lost."
Either what Jack said above me, or that Beth actually is a clone and Dan/Justin are just messing with our brains as usual and plan on the real Beth coming back and pushing Jerry back out.
Rick brought a gun to kill Jerry. I think that’s something.
Needs Jerry to be alive for Morty's sake of Rick having Morty on his adventures
I'm actually pretty sure that the device Morty was using was from the episode where Morty accidentally teleported them onto another planet and Rick sent Morty to get the criticals
At my school they call the special kids "rockstars"
how did we get to this 😂😂😂😂😂😂
They call the special kids at my school morty... the season 1 morty... super special XD
That's the saddest thing I've ever heard.
i didnt think there would be schools in terrorist controlled territory
This mf ain't dead haa
When Rick says “I’m Doctor Who-ing this sh*t” he’s actually referencing when the 11th Doctor just showed up in the Oval Office seemingly from nowhere
I feel like the title "Rickchurian Mortydate" has a little connection with gravity falls episode the "The Stanchurian Candidate."
6:10 thought that was a gravity falls reference since mabel does the same
This is a great video, kudos to all the hard work put into it checking up all the references and analyzing them!
Rick is afraid of pirates as in piracy!!!
good point...I never thought of that.
Gee whatta corny phobia
The President's robot with miniguns is based on Big Dog by Boston Dynamics, a famous DARPA project.
One Easter egg is when Rick made more of him it looks like shadow clone justue from Naruto
Mark Gonzalez it's looks more like Piccolo's cloning move from Dragon Ball Z Kai to me but that one could be it too
Mark Gonzalez the only jutsu naruto knows lmao
He just cloned himself. There wasn't any particular reference to Naruto.
i feel like it was more of a pokemon reference bc any of his clones should have been shot but they werent fazed at all
It was more like double team from the Pokémon anime
The 2 kids rick fights always reminded me of the clones in the first spy kids
The twins and the bar in the background reference The Shining.
Wasn't the twin girls ? these twins r fraternal
The way the presidents robot walks out at first is a reference to Boston dynamics robot.
NEXT EPISODE= Pulp Ricktion!
Confirmed name? As Tarantino Fan I would squeek like a schoolgirl about such an episode =D
Sadly no, but I would like to also see Rickception!
U mean the season premiere?
Lloyd Garmadon happily yes
1. The Ricklantis Mixup
2. The Rickshank Rickdemption
3. Morty's Mind Blowers
4. The Rickchurian Mortydate
5. The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy
6. Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender
7. Rickmancing the Stone
8. Rest and Ricklaxation
9. The ABC's of Beth
10.Pickle Rick
when president is in the robot legs it makes me think of loveless's robot legs at the end of wild wild west
I got the same exact feeling.
Imaging everything is not real and looking for a constant could also be a reference to a famous Stanislaw Lem's book 'Solaris, where the main character was struggling with the similar problem. And it's also 1960-something.

largo raxhon Japanese letter
Why is it when the president talks i hear "RAMIREZ! YOU NEED TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE BURGER JOINT!"
OWWWWWEEEEEE
Oh geez rick
They should've had a clone of Jerry break in and tell Beth he loves her; a clone that the original rick from that timeline made without this Rick knowing
Not the best season finale
I thought it was pretty enjoyable but ya for a finale not so much.
Squirrel Gray ya it was funny but I agree
ibesweetp2 I guess
PeanutGallery126 season 2 season finale is my favorite.
Yeahhhh not so much
Presidents robotic suit looks like one of those Boston Dynamics dogs
Who else loved the hammer of dawn reference this episode 😭
The President's Robot is a reference to the Boston Dynamics robots (I lost it at the little dance after activation) :D
So Jerry is the Morty for Beth
Hmm do u really think that
I am so glad I stumbled on this channel. :)
Never clicked so dam fast!!
I just watched this video, so when you said October 7th I'm like great it's in a few days, more like 2 years ago.
Haha. Me too!
Calling it now, this isn't the real Finale.
Wait for Christmas X-3
Christmas 2019
Never been this early. Literally watched this, then came on TH-cam and saw this.
It's the Oncoming Storm, not the Upcoming Storm.
Also, that was an intentional mistake that they had Rick say "Doctor Who" and not "The Doctor".
A near flawless season of tv. An average rick and morty episode is better than 90% of all the other shows available.
WHO ELSE IS GETTIN THAT SZECHUAN SAUCE ON SATURDAY!!!!
Shadow Snake i hope i can. I live in Denmark
Shadow Snake I'm glad I work Saturday.
Need some insight into Fishing Rick "replacing" C-137 Rick. Very interesting that Rick leaves his universe, is replaced, and carefree Fishing Rick is miserable within a few interactions of this universe. Commentary on how "the grass is always greener" might be backwards?
Ryan Wogh I'm pretty sure the C-137 Rick we were following only pretended to be fly fishing Rick to reset his relationship with the president
Ryan Wogh that IS C-137 Rick
Any one else thought when rick made holographic clones and did cart wheels around the president. remind them of hunter x hunter when Gon did cart wheel around the Hunter chairmen very fast.
I thought more of the finale of the original teen titans series
GodsSkull it reminded me of the end of cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2
The actual South Park episode they referenced was the one with the virtual reality since Morty pointed the gaming head sets
Best parts of this episode is when rick says to not touch him or they die and one touched him and the president said
“What was that?”
Rick”Death”
President”What kind?”
Rick”Instant.”
u def had the best analysis I seen any of the finale videos
i think shes 100% a clone
No shes not because it takes time to make a clone they didnt have enought time meaning that this beth is not a clone
That says “Traci” Jenkinson lol hahaha 😂
I'm the one who doesn't care if he's first
Another thing, Jerry's bathrobe has the kanji character 弱 which means 'weak' in Japanese.
Interstellar Demon Stripper
The presidents robo chair reminded me of wild Wild West
Poopy-hole alluded to that there 'may' be a Christmas Episode this year!
The scene of Beth and Jerry that talk about the variable and the constant is a reference to synchronicity
Dragon drop
We don't need any more cameos. We got to see the twerkasaurus-Rex dancing in the back of the hookah lounge. We just need to see more twerkasaurus-rex in future episodes. Maybe as a girl friend to one of the Ball Fondlers.
Where's the Darkest Moment of the episode??
Jerrys return off course :P
Probably the mind controlled twins being gunned down by the president.
thanks for the explanation! i was quite confused why they ended the season the way they did.
This has been out for seven minutes and it already has over forty comments
Morty comments
The giant portal is definitely a reference to Stargate.
beth needs jerry like rick needs morty
I am the real first comment
Dexter Skobel OMG the REAL one!!
Thx for breaking this season down
ya boi
skinny penis
Seeing the four-legged vehicle the President rides in reminded me of the forgotten movie 'Wild Wild West'
Who would win evil morty or Tammy and Phoenix person
Bineto Mussolini tammy
Bineto Mussolini: Evil Morty.
I was kind of thinking that those two might attack him but then team up. I know that sounds kind of cliche but it would make for a longer string of plot Maybe and it would be pretty awesome to watch
They will unite
Why would anyone think the General didn't cross in the first boat?
History is a lie agreed upon. - Napoleon
-8:36
This was the best Rick and Morty Finale to date. As well as being the best over all season.
Beth isn't a clone go watch film theory on it it explains it all.
The President's gatling gun mount is a reference to BigDog, the Boston Dynamics robot. It has a pretty distinct way of walking
WUBBA lubba dub dub !!
I have been waiting for this video.
I'm here don't worry I'm early
Jonathan Sublett: That's what she said.
Everyone's saying that the president's wrist controlled satellite laser may be from gears of war, but I was immediately yelling "AKIRA!" The satellite looks a lot like the Satellite Orbital Laser (SOL) that's used throughout the movie and comics as the only hope to kill the unstoppable Tetsuo. Hand targeted space laser that's humanity's only hope to kill an unstoppable rampaging super human? Eh?
First
The helmets when Rick said South Park did it, look like the vr helmet that Butters wore and was told he was stuck in VR.
In the Moonspiracy episode, the flag in the moon saw by Morty in the lens, the flag in front of Mister Lunis house and the flag he was buried with are the same
The orbital laser thing looks more like the one from Akira (80's anime).
I'm pretty confident when Rick reflects bullets and it makes hexagons is a reference to fox and falco in smash bros melee.
Also when Rick answered the phone he says 'Yellow?' And only a certain triangle with just one eye did that...
The President's robotic suit is in reference to Boston Dynamic's robots (Wildcat, Bigdog, LS, etc)
5:55
