Ah thank you! Yes, I made the antenna myself which was very rewarding! I'm now trying out an EFHW antenna which is working out great. Managed to contact a station in the Arctic Circle yesterday with it!
Hey! great question! It's called a Half Wave End Fed or EFHW for short. It's just like a dipole but has the advantage that it only needs to be fed at the end of the antenna, whereas a dipole needs to be fed at the centre. You therefore only need support it from on end.
Sorry, got confused with my adventures on another day! This is a classical half-wave dipole, centre fed. The end fed is what I used for 20m Transmitting activations.
