Vector Graphics Vs Hand Drawing in Latex
มุมมอง 9310 หลายเดือนก่อน
Just a VERY brief show of how amazing a vector image can look over a hand-drawn sketch. The process I use, is always to hand-draw first. It allows me to concentrate on the idea's i'm trying to convey and allows a natural flow to a progression of ideas. Once I've finished the entire write up relative to that sketch, I then go back and proceed with the vector conversion.

Short and sweet. Great tutorial!
nearly veered off the runway at LTN haha Great video! Would love to see you navigating LHR on the vatsim network
Haha very true! OK, will try and do a LHR flight on VATSIM next - thanks for the feedback!
Thank you. Very nice and appreciate the extra information.
Thank you for such a kind comment! You are very welcome!
All video showed the interesting measurement but did not explain how to do an adjustment to get a great result. So, please clarify it. Thank you in advance.
The best tutorial I have seen. I hope you will do more. Soon! Thanks
What model of Nano VNA do you use?
Fantastisk description😂
Thank you!!
Wow amazing!!!!
Thank you. Good starter for the nanoVNA
Great video, thanks
This is great! I've got a NanoVNA and can now check a homebrew 9:1 unun.
You do not need a Fem - Fem adaptor and you don't the lead; The Calibration 'studs' will go directly onto the terminal on the NanoVNA unit ??? Dare I ask, "Are you Blonde?" ... 😉
I'm new to radiotransmission but this was very clear explained 😊
You really should be using carbon comp resistors at RF.
Why does every ham radio youtuber sucks their teeth every sentence. Have you ever taken a class on speaking?
Adrian you did very well, yes that 3d printed key is a joke, very sloppy paddle. I bet you are making contacts with the best of them. CW is the only mode I use now days, I do not like contests so I haunt 17 and 30 meters. Nothing like QRP and CW 72' de N7KO
Amazing
My question how.do.you.set this up to tune or null coax
If I wanted to buy a nanoVNA which one should I buy? I am a bit confused on who makes the one that will be best supported with updates and which one has the best hardware/firmware. What is a clone and what isn't a clone when it comes to open source programming. Thanks
Never heard radio talk sounding hot before!
He's a guy
One Megahertz, not Magahurt. Megahertz is not a plural.
Point of Confusion: When I look at the yellow-trace and the yellow-scale, It looks like you are at 70-Ohms, not 50 as you state; can you clarify? Thank You & 73...
Nice
Can you measure resonance in coax
Thank you
what was your core material for this balun?
Hello! It's my question that how we can test an antenna for a bipolar monopulse uwb signal for example if that signal has a 5ns width and 100khz repetition..What is the frequency that I have to use as start and stop on nanovna to measure my antenna parameters?????
Question: Why do you need the patch cord to calibrate? Why not just screw the calibrators directly into the VNA's SMA connectors? Aren't they SMA female?
i beg you please give me the code
its been 1 year since i asekd!
Great ! It was so helpful for me. I am a step by step learner and you explained it in an excellent manner. 👍
Why do you stray from what tou start talkin about then change it up just ahow how to set it up and how to show vswr worse video ever
I just want to know how to get the SWR using this. You started just fine, mentioning how most of us will be using this for the SWR only. Then you started to deviate, how the other settings and features are used stating it's for another video, but then you continued with your distractions. You lost me. I just want you to show how to calibrate this thing for starters, with the right and only one screen showing so we can now insert an antenna and get the readings? Geez, why is every video on this Nano makes you rant.s
Excellent! One of the best explanations on how to use the Nano. Please do another in more depth. Thanks
My nano should arrive today....and this video has help me so much...thanks.
Thank you for clearly explaining the order of many details that aren't intuitive from the menus. However, I'm still confused by the way the traces are saved to Save 0 after the Calibration was saved there earlier, and you said the calibration should be resaved if some parameters are changed in the setup. It seems as though Save 0 is a multi-section memory that can save each parameter separately from another at different times depending on the most recent menu parameter before saving.
Fantastic video! Congrats on the explanation! I may have missed this information during the video, but which ferrite did you use? I'm doing tests with different types of ferrite and I can't get this performance across the band.
SO my question is simple Im sure I did learn how to set it u for swr but when i turn it off and go back later i have to redo all the settings how can i save them so i do not have to do that every time ? I just got it it is NanoVNA-H4 latest version firmware
Great video! Thanks for your time in putting this together. Very informative for us noobs. First time I've seen someone else with a Tenma brand meter. Had mine for years and have good service from it.
Thankyou so much for this. Just what I needed. Can't wait for part 2.
Cant see the info on screen really ? Swr ? Logmag ? Reactance ? Please show much much closer please
The primary purpose of a balun is to match a balanced load to an unbalanced transmission line. In order to accomplish this the balun must present a high common mode impedance. You have not investigated the choking impedance- so what I see you have is a transformer and perhaps a balun- but you will not know until you measure Zcm. It would also be interesting to know what the insertion loss is. Dale W4OP
If you want to look at common mode, you need to analyze the antenna feed point. In this experiment, the load is a not a non resonant load as there is no appreciable reactive component. But looking back from the load towards the transmitter, an X value will be divided by a factor of 4 and the current phase shift can be calculated from that at 50 ohms resistance. It will be roughly constant from 10m through 6m. Cancel (minimize) your antenna X values and common mode currents are minimized. This can be done by changing the antenna dimensions or cancelling the X values through some fixed reactance on the antenna.
Nice explanation Adrian, well done
Excellent, thanks for this. I use my NanoVNA a lot for antennas and radios. I am always a little frustrated by the setup process. I have now recalibrated and saved the setup so my display and calibration has a baseline when I switch it on. Meanwhile. I would love to see how to measure feeder length, then factor that into Antenna analysis. Basically I have 1 antenna very high on a mast, another antenna at the bottom of the garden. In particular the one at the bottom of the garden; its a bit tedious to go all the way down the garden for any testing.
Great explanation! I'm testing a 9:1 Noo Elec type small balun, and I was expecting to see similar results when measuring it with the Nano VNA from 50KHz to 25MHz. However, with a 470R resistor attached in place of the antenna, the Smith chart impedance readings are far from perfect. They are capacitive before 3MHz and inductive after, with the resistive component dropping. The readings are almost perfect with a 47R resistor though.
Just found you Adrian. Great channel. A ham who can do his own taxes. LOL. KD6CFE was here Southern California. 73`s .
I'm hopeless.... how do I get the resistive reading on the VNA? I've tried every setting!!! Cannot get my screen to look like yours!
Not bad..Not terrible
Hey at least there is no graphite on the ground
It's not a test if you don't check your balun's output: A balun's main job is to match a balanced component with an unbalanced one in an antenna system to avoid common-mode current, a radiating coaxial cable, and distortions in the polar pattern of radiation. Furthermore, you have not checked the insertion losses: about that, how was the compound of the toroids chosen and how was the starting number of the coils calculated? Attention: the magnetic fluxes of those two toroids in that position tend to concatenate
