Gave me chills to hear the good old Hip Hoorah! for Queen Elizabeth as she passed. A right proper send off full of national pride. I notice in the closeup shot that the crew were standing tall and proud, as well they should. She is as fine a warship as any to sail the sea, and a fine collection of kit and personnel. With the cost that has to be born to support one of these ships, at least you have something well worth the bragging rights!

Why, is the UK going to have its carrier decks loaded with US aircraft and US pilots like the QE carrier did in this clip? the RN has no fixed wing aircraft of their own.
Only 10 of the 18 F-35s are US. All of the Merlins and Wildcats will be RN operated. I think the idea is to make it a joint operation between the U.K. and the States.

Errr .... The only carrier specifically designed for 5th Gen operations is hauling the largest 5th Gen fighter deployment ever. The T45 destroyer is THE most capable air defence Destroyer in the world. And these people are the best in the world (Royal Navy, RAF, US Navy and USMC).
The atmosphere here is fantastic for these magnificent ships. Brilliant to see such support!
