Hey there, I stumbled across your channel after the Vancouver Michelin stars were released, and I now have a trip to Vegas coming up and a reservation at Picasso, glad to have found that you also have a video on the experience there. Do you think that, if Michelin came back to Vegas, they would still get 2 stars as they did in 2009?
El Dub: thank you for viewing my video and your comments. I think it would at least get 1 if not 2 stars for sure. If you compare with the Vancouver restaurants that got Michelin stars, Picasso would definitely be in the same league. What separates Picasso from 1 star is the atmosphere and the service standard. Some might call it uppity but the service is very catering. That, in my opinion, is what is lacking in Vancouver and keeping restaurants from becoming 2 stars. But it it not going to be inexpensive so if you are going to Vegas on a budget, I would not recommend Picasso as there are lots of affordable places in Vegas to eat. But if you want to be pampered and enjoy good food and wine, that is the place. Please view my Las Vegas playlist for other restaurants I have been to and also my videos on Vegas at Trophy Travel Experiences. Have a great time! Please like, subscribe and keep watching. Cheers!
@@trophyfood yes I have scoped out the price ahead of time - may end up being the most expensive meal I've had as it's a touch higher in price than the Michelin restaurants in Vancouver, though we did do Cail Bruich (1 star) in Glasgow w/ a wine pairing + caviar addition so that was up there too. I checked out your other Vegas videos too, thanks for mentioning them - I had thought "Best Friend" looked good, but am skipping it based on your review
@@LMW87MMA you should still try to see if your impression is like mine. Everyone has their own experience so perhaps that is just me but I was quite disappointed since I was really looking forward to it. If you go to either Picasso or Rivea, I don't think you will be disappointed. But tell me how it goes as I always want to know if it is just me or others have a similar experience. Please like, subscribe and keep watching. Cheers!
