If your teeth and gums get badly infected, the infection can spread into your bloodstream. You can get very sick and even die if it's bad enough. Not to mention bad teeth make it hard to chew properly which can lead to poor digestion from food not being broken down enough.
@Boc That may be true, but it's a lot harder to disinfect your gums than it is other body parts if they develop deep pockets. Someone with advanced periodontitis will likely need to have professional gum scalings done for as long as they still have their teeth to keep the infection at bay.

Thanks to you Boogie I got my tooth looked at. My impacted wisdom teeth were rotting out and I got them removed. I'm in some pain right now but I will be better now. I had some chronic pain for a long time but I'm hopeful!!
Boogie you being so open about your teeth and the process has been an eye opener. I had gone through a really rough time and fell into a deep depression and stopped taking care of myself. However as I came out of my depression I realized my teeth had been left with some consequences as a result. I decided to not do anything about it maybe embarrassment maybe I didn't want to face my problems. But you gave me a lot to think about, I finally felt ready to face this problem head on and seek proper treatment. Never stop talking about and showing off the teeth!

Your journey with your teeth is so inspiring to me. I was born with a birth defect called “oligodontia” which usually entails that you are born missing 6 or more adult teeth, I was born without 9 and they were predominantly my front teeth. For so long I have struggled with self image because like you mentioned in the H3 podcast, Americans have an obsession with teeth. I had my final surgery in November of 2018 and it was really fucking hard and really fucking expensive. I went through 4 surgeries, along with countless rounds of braces and retainers over the years. Hearing someone I have looked up to for so long share their experience and be so open about something I have struggled with for so many years was a very unique feeling for me. I was moved to tears. People love to think about teeth implants as a purely cosmetic surgery, when for a lot of people it is life and death. It’s job security, it’s the ability to comfortably eat food, and it’s the way others treat you. You continue to inspire me and you’ve brought light to an area where I feel so insecure. You look fucking incredible dude, and I’m so happy you’re feeling healthy and happy.

Took me a good several months to get used to my new teeth. You'll get there, man. I still have some minor issues with almost 20 years on... but not all that noticeable really. Been a life changer for sure.

As for why people stare at you I would say that before it really showed that you didn't take any care for yourself and that makes people uncomfortable. It's not that you were ugly or disgusting, just not well maintained. When people notice you smell good, your hair is clean, your teeth are ok, etc... you look like a better person because it shows you care about things.
Honestly, having good dental hygiene is soooo important in life, because before I judge someone I always look at their teeth. It represents how "normal" they are and stuff like that. I sometimes see someone who looks very sketchy or not to be trusted, but the teeth makes all the difference.

I'm so happy to see you getting your things together. As for why people stare at you I would say that before it really showed that you didn't take any care for yourself and that makes people uncomfortable. It's not that you were ugly or disgusting, just not well maintained. When people notice you smell good, your hair is clean, your teeth are ok, etc... you look like a better person because it shows you care about things.
Honestly, having good dental hygiene is soooo important in life, because before I judge someone I always look at their teeth. It represents how "normal" they are and stuff like that. I sometimes see someone who looks very sketchy or not to be trusted, but the teeth makes all the difference.
Just ignore the haters they always jealous about something, your real fans who support you will and care for who you are and not what you look like. And you do look a lot better.

Depends on the individual. I personally don’t like my hair straight after a cut, but start to really like it a couple of weeks afterwards.

boogie whats interesting is that I started watching your videos I believe in 2013, my teeth were in bad condition at that current time. in 2017 i had 5 specific dental surgeries done to get dental implants put in. As a friend i caution you to be very very careful, as I found that your teeth can slowly move over time. be very careful with this new blessing God has gifted you with :)
