If this is the case for anyone else- Right click in the area and there should only be 1 option ‘new’ when you hover mouse over you get a few options, select the ‘Dword(32-bit) value’ option, rename the file to AppCaptureEnabled Open it and make sure its set to 0 Hopefully helps ppl in same boat as i was! I was quickly able to figure out how to add it based on instinct alone as I have almost no experience with regedit and I also didn't have the entry. Now it is fixed and I don't have to have the stupid Xbox game bar installed. Thanks so much @Geek Bastion for the video and @conin.v for the extremely helpful comment.

I disabled the capture reg under each user, I'm wondering if the same can be done for "ms-gamebar" since it also throws up spam. Tiny11 builder removed these things, which is what I wanted-- but I didn't realize it meant this cr@p would whine about it. In the future, I may modify the builder script to leave the useless Xbox crud and Edge in the image, since both seem to cause issues when removed. Edit: Oh! And thank you OP. I tried a few other "fixes" but this works too I guess... just concerned that there maybe an open-ended link calling now, just missing the "warning" popup. Thoughts?

finally!!! I have removed gamebar and iin settings i disabled the gamebar recording option. But by adding this 32 dword and insert 0 as value that annoying message finally stopped popping up
Thanks man this worked. I installed Tiny11 (custom Windows installer, that decouples everything from Microsoft) on my Legion Go handheld gaming system. Which massively strips bloat, frees RAM & increases performance compared to regular Windows installs. But this annoying popup would happen when launching many games, this fixed it... Cheers.

Finally I found it. I first had to struggle to get gamebar removed because Windows doesn't really let you remove it anymore unless you force it via powershell. Hey there was no AppCaptureEnbaled in my folder so I made one and set it as REG_DWORD, and set it to 0 but its the ms overgaming link pop is still there and its not closing on my computer and is it supposed to be set as 32 bit or 64 bit?
Go to the debug folder underneath gamedvr regedit, the long history line entry number for the first line of that subsection, change value to zero reboot pc.
This doesn't work for me. I still get pop-ups for specific games. I'm using Windows 11 ioT Enterprise LTSC with Microsoft Store not included, and that's why it keeps popping up in certain apps, because Windows can't detect it.

add the dword value yourself
Right click, new, dword, then name it "AppCaptureEnabled" and make sure its value is 0
After run what do you type in the search box
