None of the trap monsters are decidedly good though. Except maybe the lvl 10 slime one, but only because its a free lvl 10, not because the card itself does anything useful.
I think a good video could be "Top Ten Cards waiting to become Busted" For example: Snake Rain is just waiting for a good Reptile Archetype to abuse it
I'm kind of surprised predaplants dont see competitive use, I love using pure predaplants, it's so funny to have a really low level plant monster reduce their big monsters to level 1 and destroy them
Predaplant cards are pretty good, it's just that the mechanic it's pretty meh in the Link era, since even if you combo off and leave every single monster level 1 with no stats monsters and no effects, They can link them off... Predaplants really need something broken to do with Predaplant counters outside of their 3+ fusion
I've mentioned in the comments of a few videos, I think it would be interesting to see a list of Normal support cards. The game now has a plethora of effect monsters, many of which are considered key to specific playstyles and strategies but there are also quite a few cards that specify they only work with Normal monsters, basically, all the ones I'm aware of are from the early days of Yugioh but I wouldn't be surprised about some newer cards also specifying Normal monsters in some way.

Of any Level 9 monster, I like Scrap Twin Dragon since you can put cards back into their opponents hand by destroying a card you own. Perfect for cards with destruction effects such as Dark Coffin
Void Imagination has a little asterisk. It doesn't work on Decatron as its original level is 1. So if you use Decatron's effect amd raise it's level, be very careful by how much or you might accidentally lock yourself out of further Infernoid summons, despite having Imagination on the field.
I built a Prediction Princess deck that centred around getting Pot of the Forbidden into your graveyard and onto the field, the deck became... very level 9 heavy, so I through in True Kings. and the deck is... clunky, but it is still a lot of fun
Shame there's no Generaiders on this list, but I AM happy to see True Draco represented twice. Hoarr and Jorm together can *generate* you a teremendous amount of advantage will also costing your opponent a few cards, but I suppose the set up required to do that and it being archtype limited kept it off the list. Oh, and great job as always, mate!
The Buster Blader archetype makes good use of Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss cause Buster Dragon is a level 8 Dark Dragon Type Synchro, and Buster Whelp/Dragon Buster are level 1 tuners. Additionally, most Buster Blader players summon Buster Dragon with Prologue of the Destruction Swordsman, which special summons it straight from the Extra Deck, but destroys it during the next end phase, so it's a good idea to synchro with it before it gets destroyed.
Top 10 Machine Monsters with 500 or less attack (Machine Dup targets) (Still working on the cumulative Duel Logs card appearance list, it’s a lot more videos and work than I thought but I’m keeping to it-!)
It took me hundreds of attempts to get the correct opening hand, but I somehow managed to use a Dinosaur deck to turbo Trishula, True King Lythosagym the Disaster and two Ultimate Conductor Tyranno simultaneously, and use them for True King of all Calamities and Super Dreadnought Cannon Juggernault Liebe. Had I had an even better hand, I could have summoned an Overtex Quetzacoatlus. The combo specifically requires True King Lythosagym the Disaster, Miscellaneous, Babycerasaurus and Soul-eating Oviraptor. You can use the True King field spell card, Terraforming or Set rotation as a replacement for Lythosagym, and Ultimate Conductor Tyranno can replace Babycerasaurus or Miscellaneousaurus, and for optimal flexing you want either Quetzacoatlus or Tyranno in your opening hand as well. Fortunately, almost any opening hand can allow you to bring at least 2 of those monsters, and that's more than enough.
There's also a Six Samurai card, that lets you send it from field to GY to draw a card for every Bushido counter on it (max 2) So you can use it to draw 2, though most will use it for counter generation
Technically can draw 3 cards, but my vote for most powerful draw card tied to an archetype has to go to Folgo. Being able to go plus 4 every turn is insane. You can bet if Fur Hires ever get support that makes them even consistent rogue tier, Folgo is going straight to the ban list in some capacity.
I thought Trishulas effect only worked if your opponent has a card on field, graveyard, and hand. And you have to select one card from each or no effect

I have an idea for a card: have a spell or trap that lets you banish at least one of your monster cards to grant another monster it’s/their full ATK/DEF so long as it’s on the field. With a second effect that should said monster be negated or removed from the field, you can sacrifice said stat boost to negate the incoming negate/removal, or take lifepoint damage instead if you need the monster and/or its ATK/DEF boost more then said life points Or perhaps you can banish a/multiple spell(s) or trap(s) to apply its effect to another spell or trap already on the field of the same kind with a different name, but if said card were to be removed from the field, it automatically banishes any and all copies of both the buffed card and any cards sacrificed to augment it.
@@victorsandeen2694 Yeah Krawlers suck, but Deus-Ex is level 9, so he gets that sick generic level 9 support, yo. Also there's some sort of combo with just Girsu to make Deus-Ex and flip it, which is pretty strong.
Triphyoberiom is probably the best super poly target for dealing with dark monsters since you can wipe three monsters away from the board. Plus it has 3000 in both stats so it can sit pretty in defense mode.
Something worth noting about Synchro Trish, is that it's hard to make level 9 synchro monsters with LESS than three materials. Ironically, it would be harder to summon if it were level 4 or 5 and required 3 materials.
Lv9 Synchros with 2 Materials would be super easy to bring out actually, thanks to that Lv5 Kraken Tuner that's a Fusion Monster. You could just Instant Fusion that (or bring it out the intended way by fusing any 2 Tuners you want) and then bring out a Lv4 Monster, done.
The problem is that you need to have Instant Fusion or other means to actually Fusion Summoning to get Sea Monster of Theseus out. Keep in mind that Instant Fusion is also limited, and not the easiest thing to search; generic spell searchers being rare and highly specialized, and specific searchers have massive opportunity costs and/or require Garnets. What's easier than having a functionally unsearchable limited card in your hand when you need it, and MUCH easier than having three cards to make the level 5 tuner AND have a non-tuner level 4 to make a 2 mat level 9... Well, congratulations, you either sacc'd your opponent or infested 5 cards to take away 1 to 3 cards from your opponent. And I'm sorry to say, but if you're in a position to Polymerization on two Tuners to make Theseus would have been resources and opportunity better to go into a Halqifibrax/Auroradon play, which would get you more advantage and get you a Trish as a matter of course, since you use and recur low level tuners incredibly easily. In fact, it's easier to summon Trish with 4 or 5 materials than it is to summon Sea Monster of Theseus and any level 4 non-tuner, because it's easier to flood the field with low level monsters than it is to hard raw into Instant Fusion - and never mind wasting the tuners on an old school fusion summon - which would ALSO basically require hard drawing your fusion spell; especially since the easiest way to searching it without locking you into specific types/attributes/kinds or out of others still takes your normal summon.

I think Chaofeng, Phantom of the Yang Zing should get an honorable mention cause he has the same effect like True King Calamity and gets even more bonuses from the Yang Zing archetype like being immue to traps/traps and battle or even get a +500 Atk boost which makes him 3300 and can shut down decks. Ive won many games using him since players are usually playing just a few attributes.
Nobody ever remembers my ship Enterblathnir :( Nontargeting banish from anywhere. Use a Trishula to banish one card from the opponent's hand, then overlay for Enterblathnir to banish another. Semilimiting Trish would make this card's hand destruction power seriously scary - except VFD is so strong everyone would always make it. That's the tragedy of the rank 9 toolbox: at first they were too weak to be played, having only one good card; then they got a card so overpowered there's no reason to ever summon the other ones.
The real threat about Dark Matter, was sending arkbrave and Amorphage Goliath, locking your opponent´s extra deck from their stanby phase, allowing to you to set up your board.
I'm too lazy to go look at the card, so I'm unclear on his effects, but do you think he'd ever get unbanned? Really want to put him in my Galaxy/Photon deck so it'd be complete.
@@catisreckless4647 Arkbrave lets you summon a dragon from your GY during the next standby phase after it was send to the GY, Amorphage Goliath is a dragon pendulum monster wich monster effect is: "Neither player can Spacial summon monsters form the ED, except Amorphage. So you set up your field, send these 2 cards and another dragon (i played BE, so white stone of the legend was the third one), end your turn and in th opp´s standby phase, SS Goliath with arkbrave effect. This combo can be done even on second turn and later, because you gonna XYZ cipher, steal a monster, rank up to full armor photon, pop up a card, then rank up to dark matter. Even if your dark matter gets nagated, sending 3 dragons is a cost, so as soon you summon dark matter, you get arkbrave and amorphage in th GY to play on the next stanby phase.
Top 10 archetypes that havent seen alot of succes/play but have potential if the meta is right/different. Buy you would obviously have to work on the title because its super wordy . Anyways love the content
Phantom Fortress Enterblathnir is a good choice when you just need some non-targeting removal instead of VFD's omni negate, I run him as a 1 off in all my True King decks, and I would have personally put VFD as the number one spot
I was hoping that Infinitrack Earth Slicer would make it somewhere. But I guess it needs the earlier cards to actually be good. Also, I was early enough that the video had no views, but 15 likes. I do enjoy it when I'm that early for a video.
Aren't Infinitracks considered bad though? Don't know personally, never made a deck with them or really read their effects, just going by what I've heard. Their link 3 is pretty badass in my Heraldic/Time Thief deck however.
@@catisreckless4647 They were really bad in MR4 because their whole strategy requires using links and multiple XYZ monsters at the same time, which MR4 made nearly impossible. They're at least playable in MR5, although in all fairness they aren't better than trains, and many Infinitrack decks are built on a train engine. Also a Time Thief player here experimenting with Megaclops in my build. I'll be sure to give Heraldics a look for some consistency in that deck.
@@rdcaldwell7483 Makes sense, as when I first saw Infinitrack, the first thing that jumped to mind was trains. In regard to Heraldics, definitely give them a try. Most of their support cards help out both archetypes, without locking you out of other moves. I made a fairly consistent deck, but the major weakness I've found is lack of protection/negates. Rank 4 engine coupled with Time Thief Redoer gives them tons of field control and manipulation though.

@@rdcaldwell7483 For Heraldic monsters, all of them have a use, except Berners Falcon. I run Unicorn and Basilisk as one-offs, due to their effects being okish, but not super great. I'd say Leo, Aberconway, and Amphisbaena are the only ones you should have at 3. For spells/traps, Heraldry Reborn is an obvious go-to. Also Advanced Heraldry Art and Charged-Up Heraldry. The field spell is nice for protecting your Xyz monsters, but I currently don't run it (that might change). Shade seems kinda useful, but idk. Maybe if you can find space for it? It would be hard for me to use since I run the Solemn Brigade for some defense. Personally I think against it, but try it and see. Running a Danger engine would also be kinda tough, but they could be useful if you wanted to incorporate more links into your extra deck. But since both Time Thieves and Heraldics love being in the graveyard, it might work. Performage Hat Tricker was made for the deck. Xyz Slidolphin is also really good, since you can abuse both effects in an Xyz focused build. Really the main issue for me was the ratios for everything. It took many attempts to get the numbers to look okay for me, but I'm still adjusting stuff all the time. Edit: Oops, forgot about the Heraldic Xyz. Honestly, they are only useful against other Xyz decks. I run them, but only as a "what if". Patriarch is the only one that has some use outside of that, but that's debatable. You can however, throw in a Rank-Up magic card, if you want to go for shenanigans with Silent Honor Dark, Umbral Horror Masquerade, or Heraldry Crest of Horror, since the deck can get out all of their base forms pretty easily.
You should do a list of the best rank 10 or higher machine xyz monsters, as that’s the specific type of monster you can cheat out the extra deck using number 27

What about Valkyrie Sigrun? It's a lv9 light-fairy main deck monster with 2200 atk (this gives me 2003 flashback), with the following effect: U can destroy a spell/trap u control to special summon this card from your hand, and if it's summoned, special summon any lv8 or lower Valkyrie monster from hand or grave. So u can use its alternative summoning to summon it from the hand, use its effect to summon for example Valkyrie Sechste, in order to cheat out another Sigrun for an EZ True King calamities (before it got banned at least)
Feel like Emperor Charles and Immortal Phoenix Gearfried should be here. Charles ist just an amazing Monster that can go +1 during both players turns, rip a card with Smoke Grenade and protects itself by searching out Infernobles. Gearfied is insanely easy to bring out with Isolde's cost alone, can negate a monster and steal a card (non targeting removal). Those 2 are what makes Infernoble one of the strongest archetypes right now and they're both lvl 9
Do logs forgot to mention on tryph That any monster your permanent control is with a predaplant counter on it also adds to tryph attack so if a monster with 2500 attack has a product line counter on it tryph will revive itself And have 5500 attack
Trishula is so good that it completely overshadows the entire Ice Barrier Archetype.
The only possible competition would be Brionac, but that's not even a close second.

You can still summon Triphy with monsters who have non-Dark attributes thanks to Field Spell Card "Lair of Darkness"

It took me hundreds of attempts to get the correct opening hand, but I somehow managed to use a Dinosaur deck to turbo Trishula, True King Lythosagym the Disaster and two Ultimate Conductor Tyranno simultaneously, and use them for True King of all Calamities and Super Dreadnought Cannon Juggernault Liebe. Had I had an even better hand, I could have summoned an Overtex Quetzacoatlus.
The combo specifically requires True King Lythosagym the Disaster, Miscellaneous, Babycerasaurus and Soul-eating Oviraptor. You can use the True King field spell card, Terraforming or Set rotation as a replacement for Lythosagym, and Ultimate Conductor Tyranno can replace Babycerasaurus or Miscellaneousaurus, and for optimal flexing you want either Quetzacoatlus or Tyranno in your opening hand as well.
Fortunately, almost any opening hand can allow you to bring at least 2 of those monsters, and that's more than enough.

Technically can draw 3 cards, but my vote for most powerful draw card tied to an archetype has to go to Folgo. Being able to go plus 4 every turn is insane. You can bet if Fur Hires ever get support that makes them even consistent rogue tier, Folgo is going straight to the ban list in some capacity.
I thought Trishulas effect only worked if your opponent has a card on field, graveyard, and hand. And you have to select one card from each or no effect

I have an idea for a card: have a spell or trap that lets you banish at least one of your monster cards to grant another monster it’s/their full ATK/DEF so long as it’s on the field. With a second effect that should said monster be negated or removed from the field, you can sacrifice said stat boost to negate the incoming negate/removal, or take lifepoint damage instead if you need the monster and/or its ATK/DEF boost more then said life points
Or perhaps you can banish a/multiple spell(s) or trap(s) to apply its effect to another spell or trap already on the field of the same kind with a different name, but if said card were to be removed from the field, it automatically banishes any and all copies of both the buffed card and any cards sacrificed to augment it.

@@victorsandeen2694 Yeah Krawlers suck, but Deus-Ex is level 9, so he gets that sick generic level 9 support, yo. Also there's some sort of combo with just Girsu to make Deus-Ex and flip it, which is pretty strong.

Triphyoberiom is probably the best super poly target for dealing with dark monsters since you can wipe three monsters away from the board. Plus it has 3000 in both stats so it can sit pretty in defense mode.

Something worth noting about Synchro Trish, is that it's hard to make level 9 synchro monsters with LESS than three materials. Ironically, it would be harder to summon if it were level 4 or 5 and required 3 materials.
Lv9 Synchros with 2 Materials would be super easy to bring out actually, thanks to that Lv5 Kraken Tuner that's a Fusion Monster. You could just Instant Fusion that (or bring it out the intended way by fusing any 2 Tuners you want) and then bring out a Lv4 Monster, done.
The problem is that you need to have Instant Fusion or other means to actually Fusion Summoning to get Sea Monster of Theseus out. Keep in mind that Instant Fusion is also limited, and not the easiest thing to search; generic spell searchers being rare and highly specialized, and specific searchers have massive opportunity costs and/or require Garnets.
What's easier than having a functionally unsearchable limited card in your hand when you need it, and MUCH easier than having three cards to make the level 5 tuner AND have a non-tuner level 4 to make a 2 mat level 9... Well, congratulations, you either sacc'd your opponent or infested 5 cards to take away 1 to 3 cards from your opponent.
And I'm sorry to say, but if you're in a position to Polymerization on two Tuners to make Theseus would have been resources and opportunity better to go into a Halqifibrax/Auroradon play, which would get you more advantage and get you a Trish as a matter of course, since you use and recur low level tuners incredibly easily.
In fact, it's easier to summon Trish with 4 or 5 materials than it is to summon Sea Monster of Theseus and any level 4 non-tuner, because it's easier to flood the field with low level monsters than it is to hard raw into Instant Fusion - and never mind wasting the tuners on an old school fusion summon - which would ALSO basically require hard drawing your fusion spell; especially since the easiest way to searching it without locking you into specific types/attributes/kinds or out of others still takes your normal summon.

I think Chaofeng, Phantom of the Yang Zing should get an honorable mention cause he has the same effect like True King Calamity and gets even more bonuses from the Yang Zing archetype like being immue to traps/traps and battle or even get a +500 Atk boost which makes him 3300 and can shut down decks. Ive won many games using him since players are usually playing just a few attributes.

Nontargeting banish from anywhere. Use a Trishula to banish one card from the opponent's hand, then overlay for Enterblathnir to banish another. Semilimiting Trish would make this card's hand destruction power seriously scary - except VFD is so strong everyone would always make it.
That's the tragedy of the rank 9 toolbox: at first they were too weak to be played, having only one good card; then they got a card so overpowered there's no reason to ever summon the other ones.
I love Dyson Sphere, that's probably my favourite Rank 9 monster

The real threat about Dark Matter, was sending arkbrave and Amorphage Goliath, locking your opponent´s extra deck from their stanby phase, allowing to you to set up your board.
I did that when someone on Discord showed me that combo. I had W/L ratio of 14/2 and I suck at Yugioh.
I'm too lazy to go look at the card, so I'm unclear on his effects, but do you think he'd ever get unbanned? Really want to put him in my Galaxy/Photon deck so it'd be complete.
@@catisreckless4647 Arkbrave lets you summon a dragon from your GY during the next standby phase after it was send to the GY, Amorphage Goliath is a dragon pendulum monster wich monster effect is: "Neither player can Spacial summon monsters form the ED, except Amorphage. So you set up your field, send these 2 cards and another dragon (i played BE, so white stone of the legend was the third one), end your turn and in th opp´s standby phase, SS Goliath with arkbrave effect. This combo can be done even on second turn and later, because you gonna XYZ cipher, steal a monster, rank up to full armor photon, pop up a card, then rank up to dark matter. Even if your dark matter gets nagated, sending 3 dragons is a cost, so as soon you summon dark matter, you get arkbrave and amorphage in th GY to play on the next stanby phase.

Phantom Fortress Enterblathnir is a good choice when you just need some non-targeting removal instead of VFD's omni negate, I run him as a 1 off in all my True King decks, and I would have personally put VFD as the number one spot

I was hoping that Infinitrack Earth Slicer would make it somewhere. But I guess it needs the earlier cards to actually be good.

Aren't Infinitracks considered bad though? Don't know personally, never made a deck with them or really read their effects, just going by what I've heard. Their link 3 is pretty badass in my Heraldic/Time Thief deck however.
@@catisreckless4647 They were really bad in MR4 because their whole strategy requires using links and multiple XYZ monsters at the same time, which MR4 made nearly impossible. They're at least playable in MR5, although in all fairness they aren't better than trains, and many Infinitrack decks are built on a train engine.
Also a Time Thief player here experimenting with Megaclops in my build. I'll be sure to give Heraldics a look for some consistency in that deck.
@@rdcaldwell7483 Makes sense, as when I first saw Infinitrack, the first thing that jumped to mind was trains. In regard to Heraldics, definitely give them a try. Most of their support cards help out both archetypes, without locking you out of other moves. I made a fairly consistent deck, but the major weakness I've found is lack of protection/negates. Rank 4 engine coupled with Time Thief Redoer gives them tons of field control and manipulation though.

@@rdcaldwell7483 For Heraldic monsters, all of them have a use, except Berners Falcon. I run Unicorn and Basilisk as one-offs, due to their effects being okish, but not super great. I'd say Leo, Aberconway, and Amphisbaena are the only ones you should have at 3. For spells/traps, Heraldry Reborn is an obvious go-to. Also Advanced Heraldry Art and Charged-Up Heraldry. The field spell is nice for protecting your Xyz monsters, but I currently don't run it (that might change). Shade seems kinda useful, but idk. Maybe if you can find space for it? It would be hard for me to use since I run the Solemn Brigade for some defense. Personally I think against it, but try it and see. Running a Danger engine would also be kinda tough, but they could be useful if you wanted to incorporate more links into your extra deck. But since both Time Thieves and Heraldics love being in the graveyard, it might work. Performage Hat Tricker was made for the deck. Xyz Slidolphin is also really good, since you can abuse both effects in an Xyz focused build. Really the main issue for me was the ratios for everything. It took many attempts to get the numbers to look okay for me, but I'm still adjusting stuff all the time.
Edit: Oops, forgot about the Heraldic Xyz. Honestly, they are only useful against other Xyz decks. I run them, but only as a "what if". Patriarch is the only one that has some use outside of that, but that's debatable. You can however, throw in a Rank-Up magic card, if you want to go for shenanigans with Silent Honor Dark, Umbral Horror Masquerade, or Heraldry Crest of Horror, since the deck can get out all of their base forms pretty easily.
You should do a list of the best rank 10 or higher machine xyz monsters, as that’s the specific type of monster you can cheat out the extra deck using number 27

What about Valkyrie Sigrun? It's a lv9 light-fairy main deck monster with 2200 atk (this gives me 2003 flashback), with the following effect:
U can destroy a spell/trap u control to special summon this card from your hand, and if it's summoned, special summon any lv8 or lower Valkyrie monster from hand or grave. So u can use its alternative summoning to summon it from the hand, use its effect to summon for example Valkyrie Sechste, in order to cheat out another Sigrun for an EZ True King calamities (before it got banned at least)

Charles ist just an amazing Monster that can go +1 during both players turns, rip a card with Smoke Grenade and protects itself by searching out Infernobles.
Gearfied is insanely easy to bring out with Isolde's cost alone, can negate a monster and steal a card (non targeting removal).
Those 2 are what makes Infernoble one of the strongest archetypes right now and they're both lvl 9
I'll say Trishula deserves that top spot over the other, for the history if anything else.
Do logs forgot to mention on tryph That any monster your permanent control is with a predaplant counter on it also adds to tryph attack so if a monster with 2500 attack has a product line counter on it tryph will revive itself And have 5500 attack
