The way the soul exchange works is you can tribute summon a monster using your opponent's monsters, then since it is sent to the gy, your opponent can then also tribute using your monsters. That is why they write that the one you summoned by this effect can not be tributed that turn

Fiendsmith is going to be a massive "general use engine" from this set. It's the top competitive cards from this set. And yes, there's 3 SCR's of them. They're going to be VERY expensive.

But yeah, she's a great enabler for the engine. Surprised she wasn't at least a Super Rare but wait for her to be a high-priced Ultimate Rare in an OTS pack sometime down the track.
I love how Ruxin just skipped through the big meta cards and just aimed for the one he really wants 😅 also hope you can get that Millennium Shield and Exodia QCRs!
I'm honestly really excited for the new white forest archetype. I'm glad that they are introducing a new archetype for synchros that looks pretty cool. Hopefully it's fun to play.
Spell Card: Soul Exchange and Spell Card: Monster Reborn are supposed to mimic the anime uses of the cards. Soul exchange allows you to use more than one monster your opponent controls for a tribute summon, then your opponent can use the same effect, but they can't tribute the monster you just summoned. Monster reborn could be set then played as a quickplay during battle city, so that's where the other retrain comes from as well.
Spell Card Soul Exchange lets you tribute summon, and then that monster cannot be tributed itself afterwards that turn. So you can't do back to back tribute summons using the first monster.
This set is insane and full of nostalgia with all the new retrains coming out and gives me happiness to see some old cards get some love and try to make them relevant again in the current format

The Azamina Archetype are a series of Fusion monsters that appear to be corrupted versions of some of the white forest monsters. Azamina Rhea Silvera is a dark upgraded Silver and Azamina Mu Rcielago is a the upgraded form of Rciela and in one of their Spell cards they confront Diabellstar with them being reunited after a number of years
Konami should have put Ancient Dragon from season 5 of Duel Monsters in this set. Grandpa Moto summoned him against Joey in the KC Grand Championship arc.
The classic retrains are pretty tight, but my eyes are almost exclusively on multcharmy purulia! I understand its power in the meta, but I want it purely for the fact its adorable
Since you’re opening so much of this set what if you had a list of every sr, ur, and secret (and maybe qcr idk) then tried to pull them all. It sounds like a fun way to keep the openings fresh, and gives a clear goal in mind like the rarity collection stuff. Just an idea tho idk lol
I didn’t know what to expect from this set, but seeing this has me pleasantly surprised! Also, nice QCR on the Mulcharmmy. I think the archetype is an attempt at bringing Maxx C type effects into the game that are balanced.
It doesn't have as much reach as Maxx C and has a drawback, but it could be interesting to see how it impacts the game. The Fiendsmith engine is the real money stuff of the set though. Still waiting on 2 more Engravers in the mail and the rest of the engine is either next week or the one after. Damn Konami for making Requiem and Tract Secret Rares.
I'm definitely excited for those light/dark end dragon cards too, huge pull for my joy would be the Exodia fusion and huge pull for my wallet would be that Fiendsmith SR 😎
I'm a retro player who came back recently, so this is quite the set for me to lay eyes on. Funny thing is I've been watching random YT videos on the new YGO stuff, so I recognized that crazy secret rare that you didn't even know about. I haven't bought a pack since 2008; please don't get me back into it :P

Was always a fan of the exodia archtype and the fact that stuff like millennium shield and dark magician now synergizes with it makes it even better
