Dougo shoulda known to take the batteries out of the Sensaphone 400 for seasonal storage, per the Sensaphone 400 user manual, Page 29 , section 2.13
2 .13 DISCONNECTING THE MODEL 400 FOR STORAGE OR SEASONAL USE.
If you plan to employ the Model 400 as a seasonal “watchdog” for a few months during the year, you must disconnect all wires from the unit com- pletely to avoid damage to the circuitry when the unit is not in use. If the unit is unplugged but left in place with all the sensors still connected, the wires act as antennae that draw in any stray “electrical noise” from such devices as fans, blowers, microwaves, etc.
Additionally, it is important to remove the batteries, or they will discharge until they fail.
Preserve your Model 400 during the off-season, or when not in use:
    • Remove the sensor wires at the screw terminals
    • Remove the batteries
    • Unplug the unit and store in a safe place

@@dominoefxxx Thanks for looking that up - you save Dougo the time to look it up (which he wouldn't) and now he knows. I didn't know to take off the sensor wires, but any stray charge could damage a circuit board.

Some of the newer batteries don’t corrode the metal and you can just wash off the contacts and put new batteries in. Otherwise just get a battery holder from eBay with the same number of cells and solder it in. Won’t fit inside, but that doesn’t matter.

Another great video. Sorry about the spilled corn. Realize that it should not happen but some times with the rush of harvest it happens. Seems we always had some issues each harvest. You guys do extremely well with all you have going on. Ok, listen now, no more spilled corn-ok!!!!! Giving you a bad time. Millennial had twice that on the ground yesterday. Oh well. Good variety on your videos. Enjoy that. You get good food from town. Thanks for explaining how the dryer works and how to operate it. Enjoyed that. Doing great with corn harvest. Thanks.
