Yep always a good idea... those things are HEAVY and you're never further than one busted hose from disaster... or control malfunction or getting bumped or whatever... never can tell better safe than sorry. Neighbor of my BIL in Indiana, few years back the old man didn't come home when expected, so they went looking for him. Found him under the corn head which was on the ground, or rather, on him on the ground. Evidently he climbed under there to work on something and they found he'd had a heart attack and probably died, and the header settled down onto him after he was gone. Small comfort but at least he didn't have it land on him and died trapped... he was already gone.
