Drakengard in general has a very good soundtrack. Choosing to splice up samples from select classical music pieces into something more experimental, yet still cohesive, just fits with the game, its chaotic gameplay, and its tale of a broken man and his dragon partner fighting against unspeakable horrors. This track is probably my favourite alongside "Chapter I - Castle Interior". It truly fits the gravity of the situation.
I used to say Drakengard has the worst and the best OST at the same time. The worst because it is terrible to listen, the best because it's on purpose and it fits perfectly with the game.
@@Epintus06Yeah. Not good listening, and definitely not my favorite video game soundtrack, but I think it might be the greatest video game soundtrack of all time. It is absolutely perfect for Drakengard.
I remember hearing this and being like ".......New World Symphony No. 9?" And kept thinking this while playing the chapter. And then, while watching the credits, I was surprised to see that specific movement actually getting credited as a sample!
The beginning sample sounds like they fiddled (lol) with Dvorak's New World Symphony, Movement 3 Molto Vivace, measures 130-140 (almost at the very end, before the French Horns part). But I'm not 100% sure
This is the first time I recognize part of a track as being sampled from a classical piece, specifically the 9th New World Symphony. So does that mean there's more?

Reflects the game as well. Takes a very familiar story premise and setting and twists it into something completely different.

Drakengard 1 soundtracks: brainroting into madness

I see this track also went to the Silent Hill school of musical arts and mastered the metal trash can.

It's actually the fourth movement, the finale, of this symphony. It's a transitional theme that appears just before the exposition proper is launched.
The days when humans feared gods, are the days of fairytales.
Another banger and I know exactly what music they used.

Yes, _lots_ more. Go off on a wild Easter egg hunt. You'll discover so much great music that way.
Yes, they'll discover so much more great music that way....but no more genius sampling remix like what is found here
Yes. It's like an Easter egg hunt
Feel like this should of been part one instead. Shit would’ve went hard asab during the battle.
imagine they make a cask of wine aged in a barrel forced to listen to music like this instead of the nier soundtracks
LMFAO
I think it would make the wine factory inexplicably explode and cause salt zombies to exist here by influence
