Good afternoon, Herr Patron! :D :D
They shot my speckled Jim!!!
The best part was not shown. When Rene tells the Colonel and Captain that Herr Flick has their measurements meant to go back to England. When the Colonel asks what they should do next, Hans replies with a smile on his face that they should eat the pigeon. The Colonel agrees.
yes, herr onion seller

Gefilte fish and bagels/beigels!
16000 pigeons were donated by British lofts. These are pigeons that are suddenly taken from their mate and youngsters and when that happens they do their best to fly back and feed them. They were pigeons trained to fly back across the channel but not from the locations they were dropped. They were dropped by special parachutes in sealed cannisters over Western Europe (France eg Bordeaux, the low countries) asking the locals for information eg on the Germans plans, the movements, locations and ammunitions depots of the Germans and traitors. The MoD office in charge couldn't stop talking about how valuable this information was. They would normally spend weeks trying to get it information at considerable risk and cost, the first pigeon flew back to its loft within hours. Many pigeons would have died in the cannisters without being found, or simply not survived the shock and stress of landing. That is one of the ways pigeons helped in the war. Others were sent from sinking ships that would otherwise never be found, hundreds of people who were bombed by friendly fire, soldiers in trench warfare. The pigeons received the most medals for bravery out of all the war animals. Every french child in the 1950's grew up knowing the story of Cher Ami. Now British and Europeans, people who brought them here on the first place, but who don't need them anymore, do everything they can to inflict cruelty on them leaving them to live as strays on the streets.
Remember that in the final series of The Black Adder, Edmund was responsible for the killing of Gen. Melchett's Speckled Jim.
Don't they have spare uniforms at the chateau?

My only wish is that the BBC stuck to to comedy instead of propaganda!
Maybe society should have stayed sane to enjoy such shows . The progressives today demand propaganda.
*All of them sounds like some DAMN cartoon characters. . ._*
lol. Havn't you ever seen 'Allo 'Allo before? That's the point.
