I didn't go to my High School Prom because I knew that I wanted to go to the Biggest God Damn Rave that Houston had ever seen! The Line up was Insane! By far the best party Ever! Great Music, Great Friends, Great Times.I wish that could come back for one more Kick Ass Party!
my boyfriend, and 2 of our friends off right in the front. That line was wild & ppl were body surfing. Then we went inside for best light show ever. Still having one of the staff members take a picture of Armand Van Helden during his set is something I'll never forget. :) The entire venue was packed. Just people all over, sweating, all kinds of unsober. It was nuts. I wonder what the body count was. 2000 was the height of rave.
Thats why i wasn't a fan, even tho my girl and i got in for free. But our crew had to stay together all night because of that. You only saw your friends once if lucky. I prefer a 1500 afterdark party myself.
I drove in from Austin for this party and it was insane. I lost everyone I came with until we found each other walking out the doors at the same moment the next morning. Two of my friends gave up on the line and slept in the car and never got inside. I hung out with awesome random people all night and danced until my legs hurt. It was an amazing experience. No party was ever this intense again even considering some of the later massives that came around.
That was an easy party to get lost at. The dnb room was off the chain. Adam F, J Majik, Freaky Flow, and Flipside killed it. Also, don’t forget about Rahzel. 🔥🔥🔥 One of a kind party. Thank you Scott for throwing such a dope event. Now he runs HoustonVertRamp. Check it out on IG.
After this party the scene died due to the lawman stepping in and never letting a party like this happen again. That and they started cracking down on all raves.
This was the swan song of raves in Houston. I remember the Orbit Room. The Funtastic Voyage. The Holloween rave in Hofines Pavilion. DJ Irene and MC Swift. What a time to be alive in Houston. The best set was Mix Master Mike on the side stage. I was wearing a full Raiden costume with hat, kimono, and shell toes. Big up Rosie, Joey M, Alex, and all my other rave crew.
I hope someone else remembers this. Standing in line, everyone started swaying back and forth against each other screaming "Whooaaaaaaa". lol good times.
Will never forget that night Scotto,it was pure magic from Armand to the sea of x tripping asians that formed seated islands,to the 20 odd dueling circles that formed! I wore transparent black clothing that went clear when the temp went up(i was totally naked and u missed it of coarse)!LOL!!!!!Thank you my friend you wove sum killer webs that night!Eternally grateful!-Daniel X
Houston had the best house music scene back in the day with orbit room and hyperia the hangar etc the kids all stompin and dressed all candy was so cute something only from that era one of those you had to have been a part of it to understand how special it was

They were having events every weekend at the Austin City music Hall at this time. This was the first rave I ever ate ecstasy at and got star of David. After partying in Texas I moved back up to the Midwest and started going to parties in St Louis. Most of the time I would just hang out with my small group of friends. There was at least one time though where I chiledl in a cuddle puddle.
Wasn't the best i had at a show, but it was the biggest. There was a electric sign that was hanging and it showed how many ppl were there. If I remember correctly the last time I looked at it said 20,183.
There is actually times in the beginning of a lot of these scenes it has happened in probably every scene especially an underground scene where they'll be parties or venues where they throw parties where people who will be the new IT thing in that scene will come together.... It's crazy
That was a sick ass party for Houston!!! Motovation needs to come back to Texas and do another event like that. Those kids promoted the shit out of that party!! "Genuis" is all I have to say about Motovation Productions!!! I remember the line outside was crazy kids crowd surfing and shit. I watch these two kids do a free style battle while waiting in line that was just sick!!!! Oh yeah I had a blast Armad Van Heldons set was amazing not to mention Razheel and choclair in tha Hip hop room!!!
Pretty much the last massive in Texas since the recent come back, funny all I remember this night was running into people I hadn't seen in forever that I never thought I'd see at a rave and stepping all over people the whole night. It was crazy!
Okay I didn't get any tulips that night but I did get them at species in Austin a few weeks later maybe a month later. There was three tulips that were going around I knew about red tulips which were barrel-shaped with a 3D tulip on one side and a split on the other orange tulips which were the exact same shape the red were MDA and the orange were MDMA. There was also a pink wafer tulip that was etched that was going around at the time
Yaa, I heard that they turned thousands away because of firecode violations. This was the biggest party Houston ever had if I remember correctly. I was among the last ones out and found a $50 bill and a chocolate chip Buddha on my way to the park lot. Needless to say, the party wasn't over. Man I hate being old now. /:
Yo I was getting those Buddhas not chocolate chip I suppose they wore chocolate chip but we called them white Buddhas but there was a bunk batch of Buddhas going around that was out pressed on both sides without a split the good ones had the Buddha out pressed on one side with the split on the other there was also some etched Buddhas but they weren't as good

We turned away over 5,000 people easy. I capped the event at 20,000 per the guidelines of our insurance, occupancy and fire code/marshal.
