Approach and landing into the beautiful Tenerife South Airport Boeing 737 cockpit view (4K)

- It really was a beautiful day with clear sight over the Teide and the rest of Tenerife. After not flying for an entire month (due to sickness) this was my first flight out again. I really enjoyed the flight, I hope you will to! Experience the landing at Tenerife South airport as if you are in the first officer seat instead of me ;).
About the landing, a little bit to early on the flare, thats why the touch down was a little later then I would liked. Nothing unsafe, but not perfect :). I choice to also share these kind of landings, because everyday we learn and improve ourselfs and not everything is always perfect, as long as it is totally safe.

Thanks for the video,my favourite island to visit so its great to see a cockpit landing version.
Been in there lots of times, it’s great seeing Los Gigantes on the way in only to realise it’s another two hours to drive back.
It always amazes me that everything is aerodynamic, but the wipers look like they came off a 1910 Ford.
Maybe the wipers on a 1910 Ford are the best

Amazing seeing the 1st officers view commming into Tenerife. I still remenber the 747's that collided there. you utilize good crew resource.
More cameras in the cockpit would be nice. I can't even tell what kind of jet it is.

Fantastic views and landing on my favourite island! Gorgeous, low light evening colours. Would have been great to attach the camera on top of the windscreen to get a better field of view, but maybe that's not possible in this plane.
Who knows maybe some different angles next time!

Sometimes we do! But most of the times we use gps.

Are those vortex generators just forward of the wipers? What's their purpose?
They are! The vortex generator transports energy into the boundary layer from the outer flow, and is used mainly for control of already separated flow rather than for the prevention of separation on wings, diffusers, or bends in channels at subsonic and supersonic speeds.

I'm not an engineer, so I'm not sure.
Is the airport where the KLM / Panam 747 accident happened in 1977?
No. That was at Los Rodeos airport which is further northeast at 2000 ft elevation, and still in use. I think this newer airport was built partly as a result of that crash though.
