- Unboxing and review of the Tamiya Wild Willy2 XB.
RTR wheelie machine with everything you need in the box.
Have a look at the detail on the driver figure and Jeep body.
The question is, Is it worth it. Is there any value for the money spent.
And the really big question.....Will I run It?
More Tamiya fun here.......

I bought mine NIB for $90 but it’s missing the body, bought the new XB version of the body for $85 from china cuz I don’t have the patience and not going thru that headache! lol, gotta love the Willy, just finished the Willy 2 and the Suzuki jimny Willy build added to my collection gotta love the Willy’s! 👍🏼
You did good on the pricing. But hey it's a Willd Willy just a whole bunch of fun.
One of tamiyas greatest ever and so much fun. I started out watching the original wild willy going over ramps in the 80s, my mate owned one but not me as we was a poor family lol. Upgraded my willy 2 with a 550 motor and nimh 8.4 v with a electric metal rc winch and full lights. Its a 10/10. Also try the rockbuster and txt 1 all time greatest tamiya.
Have the Rock Buster N.I B.
Will build it on the show in the next month or so.
And I just got out bid on the TXT-1!
Just for the driver figure it's worth. But I'm a kit guy😉
Yes, I like building as well. Just trying something different.
I gotta add one of these to the collection
Looks good and just pops wheelie after wheelie. Highly recommend a Willy2.
i got mine and i love it!
Have one and one to build. Just wanted to see factory detail. Only real disappointment is they never painted the rear fender flares black. As described it the kit manual.
That’s cool that it’s rtr, most of the xb are saxb semi assembled expert built.. reminds me of the qd days
XB is rtr radio and all. XSA is "semi assembled "...fully built and painted but no radio gear or servo.
The Quick drive is a trap....cocktail, bid thinking ya'll getting a heck of a bargain.
Then it shows up! 🤔
Want a QD jeep?
@@EMPTYPOCKETSRC I had a qd Jeep as a kid. Yeah I'd love another one.
@@IowaBudgetRCBashers thought I would try one
Cant go wrong with a Wild Willy.
Fantastic little trucks!
Building is more fun than driving to me, so these kits don't attract me except for one reason. Prepainted Driver figure. I suck at that painting. Nicd battery, Toss that sucker.
I agree, the building is the best part.
I just wanted to try one to see the difference.
Wish I found an XB! Mine still sits in the box because i dont want to mess up the body yet hahaha
It was a little hard to open it. But it is happy to be free.
Oh by the way the spare parts left over on the parts trees for the willy 2 can be turned into a proper damped wheelie bar with a couple little wheels stolen from a youngsters toy car.
Good to know. Thanks
I bought mine in July or August of 1999 after my daughter was born. Not xb built came with mechanical speed control
That is awesome. You have an original!
Is it worth it to you is what matters
I think the xb is a good option for people that don't paint or have tools.
They also would make excellent gifts. The person could open it and run it with no additional cost.
Ni cad battery in this day and age ??
That is what it came with.
I use them because I can't be bothered babysitting a battery.
you haven't said HOW MUCH ??
Buyee bargin!
Crashed lol
😁 The fun never stops.
