Certainly gotta have deep pockets for all these rare beasts! Cant say Id be going gaga about those 3 really, but they obviously have their place in the timeline for collectors. I think the Egress, is still my golden egg that im still waiting for in the Black edition.
Nice to see all 3 together :) maybe the cut out section on the bottom of the chassis helps heat escape if things get to hot? To be honest it’s Tamiya , could of been just because they felt like it ;)
i am happy to have the Hummer(TA01)out of these three awesome also have a second bodyshell for it too in a sand colour awesome looker great video Gavin cheers 🙂and its never Bonkers Collecting What you have a passion for says me with over 120 cars and kits built/un-built 🤣🤣
I think this is a great video. I recall seeing the Hummers in the Tamiya catalogs that they used put out and I was always tempted, but I didn't get one. I think it's neat to collect these rare cars. Thanks for sharing. By the way, you don't have enough projects you're working on. I am joking.
I have the Tamiya Hummer. It was a kit that I built along time ago. I have old Novak parts in it. Mine does not have that unusual chassis. I think only the ready to run kits have that chassis. I had to paint the body in camouflage . That was not easy to do. However, I got another body, pre-painted by Tamiya in camouflage. I bet my pre-painted body was for the ready-to-run kit that you have. Thoughts?
The dt01 Rookie rabbit xb has a similar concept chassis , unique design with smoked coloured covers , and features a Cpr60 unit for receiver and esc.I wonder if these three xb models had been designed to take the cpr unit too? Also the polycarb neo top force shell seems super unusual , isn't the supplied shell plastic along with the super manta rays?
I remember seeing them for sale at Fry's Electronics for a cool price of $279.99. Cringe. What I am kicking myself for was for the fact that once these went on clearance, they were 79.99 each. Yes. $200 discount. Within a week, they were GONE.
Love that hummer kit, beautiful indeed.

Great vid Gav 👍, I enjoyed the updates.
Lol! I was lucky to find the HumVee still sealed in the box! It fits well in my collection. I like the military vehicles. Great video!
Chuffed that you have the 3rd piece of the jigsaw. Cracking to have all three. I’ll keep an eye out for one with the top covers 👍
Tamiya hard body cars are the best imo. Great find

I've been using them for a while now before making a review and I'm happy with them.

That chassie with a hole at the bottom, wtf?? And there is a better solution that is not used? Why, why, why?
