    1. Swiss Army knife. I can't believe more people don't carry these as they are thin and small compared to those big knives and cover a lot of tools in a small package.
    2. Casio Classic G-Shock watch - tough and digital, for those of us who hate hands on a watch
    3. Glock 26 with laser and grip extension in an OWB Alien Gear holster because owb is comfortable
    4. You didn't mention belts. I love my 1 3/4 inch bull hide belt from thebeltman.net - crazy stiff!

I keep a mini-Bic lighter clipped to my tools keychain. Homemade lanyard hole. Take a paper-clip, make sure half of the clip extends below the bottom of the lighter (either end is fine). Then just wrap a couple of layers of duct tap around the lighter and the other half of the clip pressed against one side of the lighter. Hang the lighter upside down on a keychain. Works well. Plus, Bic lighters, the fuel inside never evaporates.

For the last two years I've carried a Case Sodbuster Jr. (CV) and a Pelican 1920 flashlight. My keys are on a titanium split ring on a Leatherman Carabiner. I also have the Maratac Driver keys and a Photon Freedom light on my key chain in addition to my regular keys. I also carry a Stingray skin wallet, a Shinola wrist watch (made in Detroit!), a bandana (US made), my wedding band, my eyeglasses, and my Samsung dumb phone. This rig is really light weight and works for my day to day tasks.

I carried the LCP .380 till just a little while ago when I traded it for a Glock 42 .380, great little gun. I really love it. Knife is usually a ZT 350 or a Benchmade Axis Flipper, and light is a Stream Light that runs on AAA batteries. I like to stay simple and light weight. Another great vid. Sootch!

Sooch00: Probably my biggest favorites with my EDC are on my keys. I have a Swiss Army Classic and an Inova LED light on my keys, and it is definitely quite nice to have them. There are times that I can't fit a lot of stuff because whatever I'm wearing doesn't have pockets, or the pockets aren't very big and it's uncomfortable to carry much of anything. The Swiss Army Classic has the usual toothpick and tweezers (both of which come in handy from time to time, but are frequently lost. Replacements can be had in bulk via Amazon, and I always make sure that it's got both on it), mini-scissors, a pen knife blade, and small file with a screwdriver tip. I've found that between all of those tools, a lot of times I don't need much else. My other favorite are the Inova LED lights. They can be had in multiple colors, use inexpensive lithium ion watch batteries, and are not very costly, so you can buy several to keep on different sets of keys, or on zipper pulls on backpacks and other areas. I also carry Sabre brand pepper spray everywhere. Between my keys and my pepper spray, I usually feel pretty well set no matter what I'm doing. Everything else really just builds on that foundation.

My EDC is still a work in progress, but so far, 3 USB thumb drives of various things, my Camillus 1969 pocket knife, a simple 3-LED flashlight, keys, wallet, iPhone 4G (has a clock so I don't always wear my watch), Lighter (fire + light backup), and either my Walther PPK (with extra mag/pouched), S&W .40 Shield (with extra mag/pouched), or my SR1911 (also extra mag/pouched).

Great video, gave me a lot of ideas. I live in NJ so a gun is out of the question. I carry edc, a spyderco tenacious or SOG Tanto , Sabre Red 360 2oz MK3. A Fisher space bullet pen handkerchief chapstick a streamlite polytac or protac 2. As well as a wallet, cpr mask (small key chain one) watch, a Samsung Galaxy s5 in otterbox, and lastly a pouch that stays in my car or wherever I go with a few things I may use.

It sounds like you have it very well thought out. I love that idea about the Key-Bar. I was going to get a 380 for my ankle but changed my mind. I purchased a Galco Ankle Light ankle holster with the strap for an M&P40c many years ago but never used it because it just seemed too uncomfortable. Then I saw James Yeager carries his G26 in a Galco Ankle Glove (which I've heard is a little sturdier) each day to back up his G19. Fortunately, my ankle holster fits my G26 (I sold the M&P) so I decided to give it another try. Once I found the right way to secure it and gave myself some time to adjust, I literally never like to take this thing off. As long as I'm wearing pants, I can comfortably wear a G26 on my ankle. I can't say I forget it's there, but I don't really want to. Moreover, it's comfortable enough so that I see no reason for doing without it. In other words, I don't carry a 380 simply because I have no excuse to not carry a 9mm. In the summer I can carry a G26, Shield, PPS, etc.. via IWB. My favorite minimalist approach is a G26 IWB with a MIC holster appendix style. I really think 9 em' em' works 365.

I carry a small Gerber folder and a Streamlight Microstream on me for a very minimalistc approach. Most of my EDC philosophy is in my EDC pack I keep in my vehicle. It's different than a go bag or a get home bag. It's 50% practical everyday stuff and 50% emergency gear. I carry a full change of clothes, a fleece pullover, about a dozen cliff bars, a bottle of water, steel canteen, a Sawyer mini water filtration system, pottable aqua tabs, 3 Bic lighters, a 1000 Lumin tac light with 4 charged batteries, a spare charged cell phone battery, a complete medical blowout kit with various wound dressings/bandages/gloves/N95 mask/Scissors, a map of my city, Mechanix gloves, multitool, folding knife, fixed blade knife with sharpening stone, 50 feet of paracord, 75 rounds of defensive 9mm hand-loads for my CCW, holster, large trash bag and several gallon freezer bags, pancho, notepad with an ink pen and a sharpie, a small spray bottle of alcohol and some alcohol swabs, a complete mini hygiene kit of shampoo/body wash/tooth brush/toothpaste/ wet ones, and a small drawstring backpack thing for anyone else with me who needs to carry stuff. This all is fits in a compact 18 pound Condor pack that I can grab for any situation. I also keep my weapon and a more comprehensive trauma kit in the vehicle. That's my rolling EDC ;)

Hey Sootch, thanks fire the edc share, personally I carry a mini bic, a zippo, victorinox super tinker, with either a benchmade mini grip, or a crkt m16 10s, an oak handled ferro rod, a bandana, sak classic and 10-15+ft jute twinge (makes great emergency tinder too!), energizer 75 lumen hard case inspector flashlight, space blanket, water bottle, and in winter a Jon-e reuseable hand warmer, plus a grabber hand warmer, not to mention my ghb if I leave more than 5 miles from home with water needs covered and shelter plus food in a backpack. Sounds excessive, but I can get through alot with that gear. It gets lighter in summer. A little bit. Thank you for teaching people.

You can attach a mini bic to your key chain by using some paracord and some tape. Run the paracord threw a loop put both ends of the paracord on the lighter and tape around them so it stays in place but I would rather have The Numyth Lighter.

I highly recommend adding a phantom glass screen protector to your 5s. it is an ultra thin gorilla glass screen protector. almost unscratched. feels better. smudges less and absolutely no bubbles ever. Im a big fan and im spreading the word. love your vids sootch keep it up.

Hey Scootch I've been watching your videos for awhile and thanks for taking the time to do them. Your edc is similar to mine in many ways and I'm going to get the Key-Bar system for my many keys.
    Differences:
I carry a Cree LED 300 Lumen that accepts AA batteries. Cheap and easy to find batteries anywhere though it lasts for weeks on one.
Glock 19 in a IWB holster most days. Extra mag in a pocket.
I always keep a pair of $100's in my wallet in case the power goes out. No credit cards when that happens.
I use almost an identical LCP, but have the Viridium LED light on it. Extra mag or two for it.
    Bulletproof Casio flip phone
    BenchMade, different model.
Bic mini lighter and some dryer fuzz
    Thanks again!

Wallet, IPhone 6, G27 or LCP (I really want to get rid of the LCP), Cold Steel Recon 1 tanto, Streamlight pen light, keys. I have a problem with printing when carrying the LCP in a pocket holster in my front pocket. I carry the G27 appendix in a Crossbreed holster. I have never found a carry system that I am completely comfortable with.

Hi Sootch, Because of you, I purchased a couple S-10 Batons, but I guess I need rechargeables now! I like the Kahr P380 for a pocket gun. Keep up the good work!

Nice edc. Mine varies as well. For minimalist carry and work my carry is as follows: s&w shield 9, spare mag, kershaw/emerson cqc5 knife, olight s10 baton, d ring with keys (i dont mind the jingle as im a security gaurd lol, lots of keys), wallet, and lg smart phone. Now outside of work when im just in casual attire i often carry my taurus pt92 on the hip amd then the shield on an ankle holster. My casual edc will soon be changing to a g19 and a small 380 as a bug though, for size and weight reduction. Also i do have an edc/small b.o.b. bag with water filtration, fire starting, back up flashlight, batteries, and medical accessories. Of coarse the bag stays in the car usually.

***** My EDC consists of the normal wallet, phone (w/ case) and keys. I also carry: a S&W SD9 VE in an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2.0 IWB holster (recommended by you, I love it), a S&W multi tool in a Blackhawk single mag holster, a Kershaw Lifter (Knife), a Fenix PD22UE flashlight (CR123) and a spare 16 round magazine in a leather Safariland horizontal mag holster. All held up by a thick leather belt. I also carry mace with me when I go places where guns are legally off limits, I live in Florida. P.S. What kind of belt do you use?

i was having starter issues with my car last week and i locked my key in the car in the ignition in the on/2 position while trying to fix it. (damn auto locks on car doors). i normally carry a light with me but of course the day that i didn't, this happened. another thing i learned, is to carry a *small multi tool* (so it could be on your person) because i could have disconnected my battery while waiting for help to arrive so my battery didn't have to die as well. i had a full size one in my range bag but it was locked in the car.

Mine: LC9s (just picked up the pro version without manual/magazine safeties) in a Raw Dog Tactical holster, extra mag, Foursevens QP2L-X, Leatherman Charge TTI, RaggedEdge carbon fiber wallet, Lum Tec Bull 45 watch, iPhone 6 naked (I hate cases), and my jeep key. I hate carrying keys, so I've got digital keypads on my house and other property.

Sootch... I also carry the 27. I have been blown away satisfied with the GCODE INCOG ECLIPSE holster. Ordered it for the 19/23, buy it's universal with the 26/27. Marketed more for appendix carry, but also works excellent for 4:30 carry. Smooth as glass. Highly recommended.

My carry is pretty much standard to what everyone else has: Concealed handgun of the day, ZT 0350 folding knife, Surefire Defender Ultra, iPhone, Wallet, Keys with Letherman Brewzer tool and peanut lighter.
One thing I carry different that I don't see most people carry on their person is a minimal trauma kit though. I carry a Rescue Essentials Concealed Carry Trauma Kit every time I leave the house, it has a SWAT-T Tourniquet, Celox Hemostatic Gauze, and gloves. It is no bigger than a standard wallet. Not only does this give me the ability to help someone who's been injured and needs immediate care but if I were to personally get injured in a gunfight or even a car crash that causes rapid blood loss I have the means to take care of myself. This isn't the range after all, bullets go both ways.
Hypothetical Situation: You're involved in an active shooter situation and manage to take down the bad guy, good job. In the process however you/your family member get hit as well. Before the paramedics can come in and start giving aid to the injured the police have to sweep and clear the ENTIRE area, if you happen to be in a large shopping mall or grocery store you are royally screwed if you don't have medical. With carrying something like a minimal trauma kit you give yourself the ability to hold out long enough for the professionals to come in to render better aid. The situations where a kit like this can save your life or the life another are endless. You're also more likely to use medical than a firearm as well.

i love the choice in cigars - i carry two cigars - punch and partagas black - both in the 36 ring gauge - but the rest of my gear is much like yours - my watch is a Timex kinetic self winding watch - not electronic encase of electric shock - high quality is very important - i do carry mostly maxpedition - even my wallet - but i do like the key holder - i will find one for myself - a great idea - thanks - happy new year - long live the republic

I had wanted a 380 like the LCP for the summer or when carrying extra discrete, but just didn't want the LCP. I just didn't like shooting it, so I began to search for a "like LCP" firearm. I finally settled on a Kahr CW380 and actually enjoy shooting it! Now its just a hair bigger, but not much.

I added a Maratac Rev 3 flashlight into my EDC. I LOVE this little light, it is the best compact flashlight I have ever seen. just smaller than a tube of chapstick but cranks out 138 lumens. It's crazy. That being said, now that I carry a light, I find that I never use it. Ever. haha, I just carry it anyway. I guess I am never in situations where I need it, but better to be prepared. Plus its just cool.
