@stevio2175 yes, but in f7 for example you used to receive for free the future car packs like the hoonigan one and the top gear if u HAD the car pass, I mean the obviously aren't going to announce future car packs but they always used to give to us free car packs if u had the carpass, and the premium edition includes the car pass so👀
Hi Stevio, I’m going to getting a gaming PC and Xbox Series X for my 20th birthday because I am going for the Premium edition.
Playing the standard edition through Gamepass. Prefer to play on PC, but also have a Series X. Play anywhere titles are great, wish every game supported it.

That's exactly my logic. I tired the older forza without the VIP pack and it was such a pain getting the cars I wanted.

I have been playing Forza games since Forza Motorsport 1 (2005) on Original Xbox. Now I have the Series X console and I'm so happy with that and been playing FH5 so much.
Yes. First time I played Forza Motorsport was 2005 in Future Shop they had a demo. I thought the sense of speed was rather slow since I was spoiled by Burnout Takedown. But once I borrowed a copy and sinked my teeth into it, I was hooked. Puting a design on your tuned car, racing it than watching the replay... awesome.
Motorsport 3 for me, but don't forget, it's PREMIUM now. Ultimate is no longer haha

Already pre-ordered the Premium edition since I've been a Forza Motorsport fan since Fm5, never played the 360 games despite playing Fh1. Kinda dislike the new upgrade system but it'll be a breath of fresh air when we've had no Motorsport game since 7 way back when on the Xbox One. Too bad the early access drops on the same day as the fourth week of Fh5 so it'll be a hard decision on what to play first...
Just get the 4th week out the way it only takes about an hour if not less to complete everything for the car.
I recommend playing the earlier versions. 2, 3 and 4. That all have their charm. Forza 4 being the best. Still the one to beat. If Turn 10 played their cards right, this could be the best one.

I'm going to buy the Premium Upgrade version, then purchase the full game when it goes on sale in a year or so. I have Game Pass stacked until 2025.
That makes sense if you have an ongoing Game Pass sub anyway. You spread the cost, so it doesn't seem as much, but still get the full benefits.

I always just buy the super deluxe sucker dummy versions and so far I'm loving Motorsport. I'm playing it on a Fanatec wheel and pedals so it's like a fun version of iRacing.
Although I'm a hardcore Horizon player I've pre-ordered the Premium edition. Getting a bit fed up with ramming in Horizon multiplayer. Hoping the multiplayer in Motorsport is a lot cleaner.

Thanks, but I'm still trying to understand what the CarPass is - is it just an unlock mechanism that quickly gives you access to some cars "for free" that you don't have to spend hours playing the game and earning money/points to buy those cars, OR are those cars that you get through the Car Pass are only available for the CarPass holders and can't be earned in any other way playing a Standard Edition? And if those cars won't be available in Standard Edition ever, can they be purchased separately, if you actually need just 1 of them, in example
Based on the previous Forza games system, Car Pass cars are exclusive to the owners of said DLC. I'm 99.9% sure they won't change it here.
Car Pass cars are exclusive to the DLC owners. Sometimes you can buy individual cars, sometimes you can't. Usually not, based off history
I have game pass, because the yearly titles that I play come on game pass ultimate with ea play. this means i don't need to buy a new f1 or fifa/fc game every year. I know it it isn't on time but especially F1 can be quite buggy at launch. FM looks nice but I would get the add-ons bundle like with fh5 but because it now includes credit bonuses, i won't buy them until i have finished the career mode.

It is the strategy I've been using since FH4. So far, it has been working for me pretty well, and let me save some money for DLC.
For me it will be the standard edition I might pay the extra just to get the extra content for the cars but the standard edition is the best way to go

Nice video. Decided to go for the premium upgrade. I cashed in rewards points for $20 and paid the other $34 ($54 Australian with Ultimate Game Pass). Figured I've had lots of hours from some of the motorsport or horizon games. Often it's an evening easy session to unwind and I like trying different cars. Wish I'd picked something other than the Suburu as the starting car as you get that as part of the Premium, but oh well, just a single car and only about $80k for the Mustang which I nearly picked.

Thanks so much for this breakdown. Helped a lot. (I am very much an occasional gamer and so don't spend a lot of time on forums, etc., so this cleared it up very well). The only game I play is Forza 7 currently, so chances are good I will go for the Premium Edition. I assume that I don't need to have Game Pass if I all I want to do just want to race against the console players, right? (I do this currently with Forza 7).
Made up my mind now, definitely getting the premium edition…

They spent over six years on this game. At least they can make a Collector's Edition.
Unfortunately it has nothing to do with development time. I hate it, but gaming is going digital. FH5 was the same way. They don’t seem to want to encourage physical sales, and I bet part of it is the fact people can find the Ultimate DLCs even after they are removed digitally from the store.
IMO, if you buy standard and actually play, everything worthwhile will be available through progression. I have millions of unused credits in F7 with no real urge to do anything other than mess around with the few handfuls of of cars I really enjoy.
I could agree. If you don’t HAVE to have EVERYTHING, the base game certainly will have plenty of content

If you are not planning to play career mode, but rather focus on multi-player only...will all cars be unlocked and available? Do we have an accurate list of cars included with standard game? I've read the list of tracks and see future tracks will be added with free updates in the next several months.

Here I am playing FM7 only recently on PC so I am not even ready for FM8 yet or am I. I might get it for the collection adds the extra car to my FH5 and just more to enjoy depending on what my mood is like. Price wise though the premium is already a better value than even buying Motorfest that Ubi over charged for at $120 for the premium. MS has been pretty good with pricing and deals tend to hit on discounts enough that you could always wait it out a bit and still make out.

It’s not an bad idea but it could have been better. Some players complain about that you have to grind levels just for unlocking a bodykit and others think that this is a waste of time if you do it for a car you don’t like.
I personally think this is a pretty good idea to increase the gameplay experience and show your skill with your car but like I said, it could have been better.
don't have a full opinion yet, but I enjoy progression and the fact it's a new take on how the game works

Hello, I was wondering if there is no problem when purchasing the premium add ons bundle or maybe just the race day car pack playing in cloud gaming, I suppose that the purchase is registered in the profile used and what was purchased will be in cloud gaming, but maybe it is not like that and there would be some kind of problem there, there would be good to know :)
I don’t have much knowledge about cloud play, but if your account buys any DLC, you should have it, regardless of where you play!

Also - can you play the game online without GamePass? If not, why buying it if you still need GamePass to play in Multiplayer?
From what Turn10 (developers of this game) said, any new cars/tracks included in post-launch updates are free for all (so there is no need for you to have anything besides Standard Edition).
In order for you to be able to play this game online, you'll need an active Game Pass subscription (there doesn't matter which tear you get as long as it is not Game Pass for Consoles as that one doesn't include Online Multiplayer). So, in short answer, both Game Pass Core (former Live Gold) and Game Pass Ultimate will work for online multiplayer (side note, if you want to play it with Game Pass Core, you have to own base or higher Edition of the game).

Like Alex said, tracks/some cars/updates are free for everyone. You need Xbox Live to play online, not GamePass necessarily.

So the Deluxe version has this 30 new cars (one per week). But in the Standard version, will you be able to buy them with the in game currency? Or they will be exclusive to who got the Deluxe? Same for the tracks?
ALL DLC is exclusive to DLC holders. Tracks aren't DLC, new ones added free with updates
@@stevio2175 I simply can't decide which to buy. I play Assetto Corsa Competizione and Assettto Corsa the old one, the game and physics are amazing but I'm tired of the system and lobbies there. But I'm afraid to buy the Deluxe version and ended up not liking the new Forza motorsport physics and force feedback, since it is considered a simcade, more arcade than simulator.

I'm torn between premium and a month of GP to try it first. If I go the GP route, it'll be the first time I haven't gone premium. FM7 disappointed me overall and I don't like what I've heard about car upgrades, so I'm cautious with this one. Decisions.
Get the Premium because it's worth it. You'll be getting newer cars on a weekly basis.

@@WarLegend50 it won’t be 50% off tho newer games usually don’t get heavily discounted like that only a month after launch. At best you’ll get like 10$ off but that’ll be for the game itself the add ons probably won’t be discounted or at least a very light discount.
Upgrades are good progression, people are over-exaggerating it before even playing IMO

Only 30 cars to the carpass? Isn't that much less than every previous carpass?
Not sure, but 30 cars at 1 car per week, which is a little over 6 months' worth of car pass. Hopefully we will see other cars added over time during that process as well. They've been aiming for the live service approach, but more leniency than the FH Series.
FH5 had 42 total, but a bunch of them were just Formula Drift cars

IMO, it’s a fantastic new take on progression and building. It’s allows you to enjoy the cars and build them up to the best they can be. I’ll be live streaming and making videos when Motorsport drops
