You mention GT career mode at 20:00, I can't agree, the career mode in GT7 is the worst thing about that game, not a single race is an actual "race", you start at the rear of the pack and have to pass 15 odd cars which are all lapping 4+ seconds slower than you, it's mundane. Conversely, in Forza, while it's not perfect, with the difficulty at 6/8 I find myself more often than not having good races, last night for example I finished a race in 4th place starting from 12th, with the leaders best laps marginally faster than mine, it's a much more realistic race experience.
That's actually a good point. I actually wasn't clear enough that I liked the general format of the career mode more, rather than Forza's menu-events. As for racing itself, it seems like both of them have some work to do. I would love to get more career races with qualifying too. I wanna try hard to get a good spot and then work hard to try and meet a target. Sort of like F1, if I've qualified 5th I'd love the game to give me a target like... try hold position, or try beat your rival who is two cars ahead or something, not just podium or gtfo.
Forza’s career races just don’t feel right at the moment too. We’ve had a bunch of races this week again where we are on full difficulty and just manage to make the bonus practice time, but then in the race set up it says we will come third or higher unless we pick a starting position of around 12th or more.
You are right but as lackluster the campaign is you still have circuit experiences, licenses and more content to clear. Even the shitty cafe menu progression is better than what we got in FM.
I've been playing alot of FM2 lately and I played so much FM4 back in the day, currently on the fence about this game. From everything i've heard, the singleplayer is still really lacking in the new game. It's really sad because FM4 had hundreds of events. It also had the World Tour mode where the game would take you across these events automatically by rotating between tracks (because the player is 'travelling across the world) and showing you three different events with different rewards each time, based on what car you've picked. It was such a natural, varied and easy approach to progression without taking away freedom.
I enjoy it, the driving is realistic enough to enjoy it on the wheel, but the amount of newbs is crazy, the matchmaking doesnt work, amd the penalty system punishes the victim 90% of the time
Even if the penalty system was amazing, people would only complain since the 1% of the time it acts wrong feels more impactful than the 99% of the time it's right. I don't think a penalty system in a racing sim will EVER be perfect.
@marc_nificent904 worst game I've played on a wheel was gt7 was arcade like and I could never get it to feel like a real car on the wheel no matter what I did. I normally play at medium settings without Ray Tracing due to performance issues (weak CPU older GPU). Last week I turned RT on and to my surprise I lost nothing in FPS. A couple of hours ago, I turned RT back off and set the game to ultra, and I finally started seeing hits to the FPS. So I settled on high performance settings but ultra car and high track, and the game looks good? This cant be. I see no DLSS artifacts, the FPS barely drops below my soft-capped 75FPS. That’s a good point. The UI could definitely use improvements. I also don’t like that you can’t tell it to set your current car as the show car and also have it be the default for when you choose, as well as when you go to designs and tunes
I apologize if this comment is a bit harsh but... please make a written script instead of this rambling style. This is so painful to listen to that I couldn't get past 5 minutes. I still have no idea if the game is good now.
No worries at all, thanks for feedback. I’m still experimenting and while the channel has mostly had scripted content I was looking for a way to just sort of get some thoughts out and genuinely didn’t think that this video was gonna get seen by too many people compared to others - but again I appreciate the feedback, I’m still finding the groove and what works.
Your background music has this *very annoying* "breathing" sounding instrument in my right ear that keeps going on for the entire video! *I won't like your video* because of this! Sorry! 22:23 I've been listening to that "shhhhh" in my right ear throughout your entire video, bud! 😖
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll look into it. I tend to hear higher pitched sounds than some people hear and it really annoys me when it affects me and no one else even knows about. For eg, if I play Starfield with headphones on, there’s a super high pitched whine that happens when I activate the scanner (I don’t hear it when playing on speakers) but it sends my tinnitus into a complete spin on headphones.
Hey again, I’d like to ask you something. I was trying to look into this. Can you give me a rough idea of exactly when it starts and if you only hear it on headphones or phone speaker, tv speaker etc.

Peace :D (my opinions)
No, its a piece of shit. Also why doesn’t anybody talk about the menu ui
That’s a good point. The UI could definitely use improvements. I also don’t like that you can’t tell it to set your current car as the show car and also have it be the default for when you choose, as well as when you go to designs and tunes
Iracing is still king
No
I apologize if this comment is a bit harsh but... please make a written script instead of this rambling style.
@@whatsgood-reviews Yeah, I get it. It's just that I personally get very frustrated when I feel a video doesn't get to the point. No hate though.
Turn 10 should just give up. They are a meme farm content now.
TLDR: NO
Car sounds still meh 😢
It's always been good....its actually great...better than GT7
It’s so much fun, it’s addictive. If you don’t like it, your standards are too high. It’s a great game. The customizable options are endless.

Turn 10 Suck

@@whatsgood-reviews 1 - I'm using a headset with splendid stereo sound reproduction, 2 - The "shhhh" sound plays whenever that jazz music is playing, 3 - I first hbear it at around 0:20 while you're speaking...AND that jazz music is playing! *And it played on and on till the end! AAARRGGHH!!!* 🙀🙉 (not during the game replay!)
Ok got you, it just be coming through more probably because it has good bass, luckily that music was a once off so I won’t be using it again in future.
Thanks for the response btw, appreciate it. Always looking to improve.
Gran Turismo sucks ass its terrible
You really sound like you don’t like. What don’t you like about it?
