This is one of my favourite venues, nice to see the dabs..they were scarce for a few years after the beach was profiled with tons of shingle...very enjoyable and good to see you were busy...thank you.
Just found your channel and very much enjoying your videos. As a child I would fish the Kent coast as my Grandmother lived there, miss the area must head back one day.
Great fishing love watching your videos. Great content. I fished the chequers end in the open on peg 48, had 48 fish on my card all whiting except 2 dabs mainly to worm fish baits keep up the great videos would love to see something huge come along one day :-)
Well done in the Open - have fished Sandwich Bay a fair few times in the past and will cover that area sometime. Thanks for watching and your kind words - will do my best to catch something decent on film (have lost quite a few trying to film their capture)! My best from a beach is a 17lb 3oz cod, but that was well before I started filming sessions, so only have photos of it!
Great video Rob, lots of dogfish being caught all year round now at this location so surprised you did not get a few more. As usual very informative and professional 👍
Hi, great job as usual. You said you would be trying different area's around Deal, if you go towards the golf courses, ( towards Sandwich ) don't fish the section just before Sandown castle as it's snagy about 20/30 mts out, go past probably 100 mts at least. Keep the the vid's coming.
Hi Mick. Never get bored saying this...another great video. Whilst I would never wish this on anyone, I'm glad that I'm not the only one who loses tackle whether it be by way of crack offs or snags. That plaice during the first session was a nice surprise. I haven't caught a plaice from the shore for years although my biggest from a boat was about 3 and a half pounds and that some years ago - sorry but I had to get that in! The second session certainly kept you busy (5 dabs - nice) and no swimmers, dog walkers, chatty passers by, etc. Good weather too. Must confess I am getting the itch and need to scratch it before Christmas is upon us. Stay safe and well. Cheers. Ken
Thanks Ken - you can go several sessions without losing any gear, but then lose quit a lot in one go. Certain venues eat up tackle - like Magazine Lane and Samphire Hoe; other times you can just put it down to having a bad day.
Hi Rod thank you for your reply I am very much a solitary angler so Brighton marina is a no no but deal looks like a good bet thank you have a merry Christmas Trevor
Thanks Rod nice to see a few Dabs.Low water Dungie point yesterday 38 Whiting 1 Pouting.
Thanks for the update Gary - dabs should show up there soon.
My favourite part of Kent. Great video, excellent fishing. Some nice dabs.
Thanks Gordon 👍

Interesting seeing how match marks fished out even though I've never fancied match fishing myself.
Yes - I watch the odd one, but only coarse match fish at present.
Great video
Thanks again Mark!

What rods and reels are you using here mate, I’m after some lite gear
Colmic 07 rods and Penn Affinity 7000 reels. The rods are pretty powerful, will cast 250g, should you need to.
