  • Today we’re joined by multitalented actress and producer Candace Cameron Bure to share about her journey from breaking out in Hollywood to giving her life to Christ. Candace shares the details of landing the role of D.J. Tanner on "Full House" and how the show became beloved by audiences. She shares her faith journey, from first deciding to believe in God to years later really committing her life to a personal relationship with Jesus. Candace shares the sweet story of how she met her husband and offers some tips on motherhood, as well as how she navigates unrealistic beauty standards in an industry that makes body image central. We also discuss the backlash that she’s received from speaking about her beliefs and why she believes that being an authentic believer in Christ is more important than the negative feedback.

We love you Candace! What I find fascinating is how she was able to shield herself from all the temptation of Hollywood and movies etc. It can’t have been easy with offers of so much money. The fact that she took 10 years off to be with her babies and to honour her husband and his career. And that she didn’t sell out to become a big time actress is amazing. She is such a testimony to embodying the Proverbs 31 woman.

25 years ago my husband stepdaughters told me I was abrasive. I insisted that this was the way God created me. I brought this discussion up at our couples small group and one of the guys asked me if my actions (being abrasive) was a Godly characteristic. I took a week to answer and while I was deep diving into the Fruit of the Spirit, I discovered that is was me being human and not living like Jesus. Ugh! That stung! I can still be abrasive when it comes to protecting my tribe, but that lesson in the Fruit changed me from the inside out. Candace is amazing and may God rain blessings upon her head and those of her family. ❤️

My husband grew up in a Christian home but unfortunately due to circumstances within his church he strayed. I am still praying for him, almost 5 years for him to be bold in his faith & be the leader of our home. So encouraging to hear her husband’s testimony & her mom praying for her dad for 30 years. 💓🙏🏽

    • @alishaba-
      @alishaba- 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Keep praying everyday. It really does work.
I've been praying for my parents daily to come to Christ.
They are both JWs (Jehovah's Witnesses), and don't know who Jesus really is, along with many other false teachings they're deceived by.
God showed me and my sister that at least my mom will wake up spiritually and showed us how we can reach her.
But she's not there yet so we are still praying for her and our dad and are believing our prayers will be answered in God's time.
It's been almost 5 years since we started waking up spiritually ourselves, as we were raised JWs.
Before God opened my eyes to the truth, I would've defended that religion all the way to the hell I didn't believe in.
But God is good and He made a way, and I didn't know it but someone was praying for me too before I came to Christ. Prayer works!!
Also, I think a great resource you'll find helpful in your situation, which is not a Christian/religious book, but overall it really is in harmony with Bible principles, is The Empowered Wife by Laura Doyle.
It has helped me in my own marriage to be able to communicate with my husband in a way that builds him up, makes him feel respected, and motivates him to take the initiative.
When wives practice the skills in the book, it really encourages husbands to be leaders and rise to the roles they need to fill.
God bless you and yours. 🙏❤

This is a really long story, but I prayed for my husband for 50 years and he gave his heart to Jesus in 2022 when he was dying of cancer. I know that might sound depressing in some ways, but I say it to tell you to NEVER give up praying. He was a “good” man, husband and father. We had a great marriage, he went to church and wanted our kids to believe, but he had never committed until he was 72.
I’m crying as I write this. I know that I will see him again. You can’t put a price on that.
      God bless you.

@@heavencanwait421thank you for sharing your story. And praise God that your husband did commit his heart and life to Jesus. And he is with the Lord now. I was a fairly young Christian when my grandpa was at the end of his life. And he had been an alcoholic most of his life. He did quit drinking probably the last 20 years of his life because the doctors told him if he didn’t quit he would die because of his kidneys. They ended up having to remove one of them because he had cancer. And so he only had the one, anyway so he was sober all those years, but had never given his heart to the Lord. Anyway I decided to share with him about giving his heart to Jesus. I was so scared because it was my grandpa. I just felt intimidated. But the Holy Spirit kept prompting me to tell him. So I did, and he gave his heart probably a month before he died. But it was so amazing to see the relief in his eyes. And the peace that he had. And now I know I’ll see my grandpa again. Anyway, my whole point was that it’s never too late and we should never give up. God bless you ❤🙏✝️

Been waiting for this! Did not disappoint!
I completely understand about trying to push your husband to serve the Lord the way you serve. It took me a long time to realize my husband is his own entity and he needs his own relationship with Christ. Sadly I didn't become aware of this till it did cause problems. My husband now doesn't even want to go to church but once in a great while. I pushed too hard, not on purpose, I was just excited about the Lord. I pray that God can shine through my actions and bring my husband either back to the Lord or if he was never saved to the LORD.

Thank-you Canadace for prioritizing your babies over career ❤❤. I also love that you and your husband are making sure to take care of your kids.
This is such a great reminder to prioritize my sweet baby right now. It’s so sad to think she’s already over a year. I had a cry the other day because I could just see her becoming an adult and moving out 😢❤. I don’t worry about working out. I garden, I play with my kids, do farm work and sometimes stretch or do handstands sporadically. When I’m done having babies and they’re happy to stay with their dad I’ll workout again.

I loved this interview! Howwwww was I a part of the 1% that didn't know Candace and Kirk are siblings until today?! They look so much alike and I didn't even know it! I did, however, know about the Smallbones. I went to an event that Rebecca St. James put on years ago and for one part of it, she said she invited her brothers to come sing because they were also starting their own music career. After the event, I got a picture with all of them (Rebecca, Luke, and Joel), but For King and Country wasn't a thing yet.
