I wish they'd included this in the main game --- it's SO good! The main game just throws you into a losing war from mission 1 without any real context or background, whereas this demo level is like the first act of a movie! Thanks for uploading! :)
Thanks for uploading this, being a huge fan of this game (I consider it one of the best games I've ever played), I am really glad to have a non-commentary 100% playthrough on TH-cam! I am also very glad and impressed that you included the demo, and the installation speech. I only played the demo when it came out, so it was like seeing new StarLancer content for the first time! The speech, like ACN News, are also things that really made StarLancer the immersion paradise that it is. Great work, friend, you earned yourself another subscriber here.
That's actually the real reason why I linked you the playlist when you asked what difficulty I was playing on: I assumed you didn't know about the demo missions, or even the video of the intro + basic training I did prior to mission 1.
Google "Starlancer Trial", and you'll definitely find a working download. Additionally, the patch/tool I used to get the game running nicely on Windows 10 at 4K, 100fps (Game's maximum fps) also works on the trial version, so that's a plus.
well, it might be canon if the names of the Coalition ships are ignored. the Pukov was nowhere near the Yamato since it was taking out the french and Italian fleets when the attack commenced.
I thought so too - ignore VA mismatch between certain characters, pretend these are similar-yet-different Coalition ships, and you've pretty much got a prologue to the game proper.

I remember playing this demo during my freshman year in college. That was back when most people used 56k modems.

I love that for the demo there is some guy lighting torpedoes from the ship's hangers.
A game that I really wish I played.
At last we now get the chance to face each other in combat. That like always made me feel it has just gotten real
When Col. Tanner sounded like Col. McGann
Great playthrough, as always. Cool to see the extra story bits, I didn't know this existed lol
