You mentioned a personnel change. IN 2017, Avi Kaplan had to leave because his family needed him. His mother took ill. Before he left, he arranged for his replacement to step in. Avi parted from the group amicably. Matt Sallee took over and has proven his worth. All other changes in appearance are simply cosmetic, because for a long time Mitch and Kirstie changed up their looks a lot. Mitch has mostly settled down with his appearance, but Kirstie will color her hair now and then.
I love watching the reactions those who have just discovered PTX! Their raw talent is mind blowing! Popspring 2016 is a great video to check out! It has 3 great originals plus Evolution of Michael Jackson (their most famous Evolution vid) all done live so you get a taste of what it's like to see them in concert. It was recorded professionally for MTV in Japan though, not a fancam, so excellent audio! The originals are different genres too: Cracked (blues- the kind that ironically makes you want to dance), Can't Sleep Love (pop with a rap feature & r&b moments) & then Water (r&b that's a bit slower in some parts but not others, & really catchy).
Thank you for the great reaction to this fun Pentatonix video. They are amazing, It's hard to pick a favorite Pentatonix video or song because I love them all and there are hundreds of them. Most of us just enjoy the songs that we are listening to at the time. Works out better that way instead of trying to pick a favorite.

A little constructive criticism : check the volume for the video, it seems to be way lower than that of your mick so when you make a comment it comes out louder. Love your Pentatonix reactions, you should check their own material: Happy Now and Sing!
Something different from them that’s in my personal top 5 is their cover of Rather Be (Clean Bandit). Kirstie leads it and the official video was filmed on the streets of Tokyo while they were touring there. It’s lots of fun to see and hear! Thanks for reacting to PTX!

There's Music, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, and Ariana Grande. The first three have the original bass, Avi Kaplan, and the last two have the "new" bass, Matt Sallee. If you'd like to see a live performance of EoMJ, check out Popspring 2016 - 3 original songs, plus the Evolution of Michael Jackson, all performed live in Tokyo for the annual Popspring concert festival. The concert was recorded by MTV Japan, so the video and audio quality is excellent. It's a little longer (about 15 minutes), but well worth it.

Ya I can relate to music from the 90's (since I was in my 30's back then), it's always cool to see younger people like yourself appreciate tunes from the different decades. Nowadays it's fun to explore everything from PTX to RAP.
Ok, I've been watching your ptx reactions since you started them and finally just subscribed. I really like that you can see on your face how much you love them and also respect their amazing talent. Recommendations from me would be my top 3 songs from them. 1- can't hold us. Cover of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. 2- the Evolution of Michael Jackson 3- their original, "Sing" All of these are amazing and since me and you are about the same age I think you'll enjoy them as much as I do!
Josh, I found you through your Pentatonix reaction videos and already subscribed because they are probably my second favorite musical group right now. I have heard you say several times that you are just looking for some of the best music out there. My favorite band above Pentatonix is a 3 piece band out of Sweden who are amazing. The band is called Dirty Loops and they are some of the best musicians around. So good in fact that Quincy Jones represents them. They have one of the best bass players I have ever seen and in combination with an insane drummer and a keyboardist who has an amazing voice (often compared to Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder), they just can't be beat. If you are really looking for the best music out there, try Dirty Loops "Work Shit Out" or "Next to You" for starters. There are so many more amazing songs by these guys but those two songs would be a good place to start. I promise you won't be disappointed and will want to go down this rabbit hole. I have also never seen anybody have trouble with copyright similar to Pentatonix You Tube blocks so no need for filters. Put some headphones on, turn up the volume and enjoy. They will really blow your mind no matter what genre you gravitate towards.

The videos also try (it seems to me) to draw the viewers attention not just to the lead singer, but also to some of the background parts or the beatboxing.
