yes Alad V is an orokin, more like modern day orokin. The corpus faction were once part of the Orokin empire before they were exiled by the empire themselves due to their cult and credit beliefs. More like descendants in the present time

Both group were greedy in their own way. And yes the corpus used to be researchers for the Orokin before being exiled and become their own cult praying for credits. Thats why some people're still confused whether Helios is from Corpus or Orokin. Corpus eventually got the blueprint but got it build in their own versions.

Margulis was executed by the orokin, lotus may or may not be margulis. We don't know for sure, but the lore seems to be pointing to the fact that lotus might not be margulis.

There are alot of theories about this, im not gonna explain it all since there are quite alot. But the interesting ones are: she's a clone, or somehow lotus picked up the form of margulis due to transference.
